I had dr appt on Tue and she said something that maybe I misunderstood what she meant? When appt was over I waiting for for more test orders at the reception area. I was still in the office part (not waiting room) when I said Oh boo, I wanted to ask her if its safe to mix these (topical creams) together and add these essential oils. The nurse said she'd look at them. At that moment dr yelled out from behind closed door What are you hoping to achieve? I yelled back that I thought if I covered myself with it, it might draw out "stuff". She came out of her office to go see next appt and without stopping said try Bag balm. I never heard of it but got a tin and last night covered myself head to toe. I didnt realize it would be so gooey and not absorb. When I tried to wash my hands it just beaded up. I was mad at myself for not testing small area before smearing this green slime all over and grapped paper towels to practically scrape it off. When I wiped my brow it started twitching- kinda thumping and I reached up with hand to rub it and before I knew what happened one of those stick things was in my hand. Im embarrassed to admit, it scared me and my reflexes were faster than brain cause I flung it and it went down drain. I just wanted to lay down but had to deal with getting this stuff off. I still feel it on my skin. I wonder what the bag balm drew out? Im disappointed that I wasted a clue. My big question though is why did she think bag balm would do anything??? Of course she probably didnt think I'd literally cover my whole body but of all things, why bag balm? I wish someone else would try it but its so yucky I know its not feasible for some.

Thats a funny story Kiki. I am game to try the bag balm. I used to use it on my horses (Gosh that seems like an eternity ago). But yes I do remember that was some ewey gooey stuff. It used to come in little green tins and I recall it being more yellow than green in color. I am thinking that it works so well because it is so greasy! Does it have lanolin in it?

Oh that must have been incredibly yucky to try and get off. It's mostly (vaseline and lanolin) just looked it up. It's to help soften skin. Sort of like a "saran wrap" does. It keeps the moisture in, so this bag balm is a thick coating, and probably works good for chapped skin. As for why they said to try it...gosh, that makes me wonder too if they think maybe your skin is just dry (because they're not listening). ohohohohohhooh.....I just remembered something as I'm writing this...YOU reminded me of something here Kiki! Here's something INTERESTING TOO!
THAT DOC I SAW AT UCLA SAID THE SAME THING! (not about getting bag balm) but....
When I requested my records from him, here is what he wrote that my complaint was. She (Toni) complains of DRY skin. NO I DIDN'T That is what that doc wrote down though!
Now here is the TRUTH of that.
I NEVER said I have dry skin!!!! NEVER.
I went in there to see him at UCLA with a 100 lesions on my body from FACE to KNEES!
But yet he wrote down that I said I had dry skin! And I did NOT say that.
Now I'm wondering if that's what the new "DOP" thing is...they just say we have dry skin. HUMMMMMM because of your doc saying get (bag balm) which IS FOR DRY SKIN.
Thanks Kiki

There is nothing I wouldn't try. (as long as it wasn't harmful) The doctors are as mysterious as the disease itself. As I have written before I was told to buy a good moisturizer. But what really disturbed me on my first visit to the dermadumbtologist. Is that after he wrote me a prescription for 1. scabies medicine 2. referral to a phyciatirst 3. diagnosis of delusions of parististos. (rolled off his tongue like he'd been saying it all day.) 4..he suggested that i might be using cocaine 5. suggested that I was picking at myself I was so mad I lifted the back of my dress real high to expose my back and I ask him how i could pick at my back like that. well what he said.. I will never forget. He tells me theres nothing there. my back was covered in the small rash like things. I went home so disturbed. So the whole appt didn't make sense. He wrote me a prescription for something that he could NOTsee. (I know he could see it he couldn't have missed it) it was the follow up visit that really ticked me off. Yeah i simply had dry skin

I couldnt figure out why it it had the effect it did so I looked it up . It has hydroxyquinoline sulfate in it- which in the U.K. is listed as a PESTICIDE!! I cant imagine what that stick was but it was big!! It was between 2-3 inches and about as think as 5 rounded toothpicks held together. And brown. I had some come out when I was in hosp but they were smaller than half a single toothpick. They said it was furled dead bacteria. I forgot to look it up when I got home but is there really bacteria that does that? They said the twitching was it furling up and the thumping was when it exited. It sounds weird to me. And ifs its bacteria why would bag balm effect it?
ibzahp- oops it is yellow. I was thinking of the tin and typed that color by mistake. It stinks too. And its still not totally off my hair. But it did make that thing come out. toni and imbloownaway- I also read some people use it for excema and psoriasis. Arent they fungal infections?

The hydroxy-quinoline sulfate in Bag Balm is .3%. www.alanwood.net/pesticides/8-hydroxyquinoline%20sulfate.htmlHere's a better description: 8-Hydroxyquinoline Sulfate An antiseptic with mild fungistatic, bacteriostatic, anthelmintic, and amebicidal action. It is also used as a reagent and metal chelator, as a carrier for radio-indium for diagnostic purposes, and its halogenated derivatives are used in addition as topical anti-infective agents and oral antiamebics. tinyurl.com/lh8hyz(sounds like a good thing Kiki!) I'm getting some too. The amount of the H.S. is very small, and can't really get us in trouble - I'd not think. Thank YOU! Imblownaway, I sure can relate. My doc saw all the lesions, and said the ONLY reason they were on my front side (which they were) is because I couldn't reach my back. Sounds like they all decided to play dumb or blind when they see Morgs.

Interesting you should say that Kiki (about your Doc treating you like her horses.I have heard on numerous occasions that horses get morgellons lesions and that veternarians are less likely to "scoff" at our disease. (Lol you have a great sense of humor!)

I do think it makes her different. Parasites, worms, flukes,etc--are common to her. She once said any dr that says Humans cant get "that" is lying to either their patient or themselves. She said OF COURSE ITS POSSIBLE. Her dad was a dr and when she graduated his gift was a nice watch that had "That was yesterday" engraved on the back to remind her that what she learned was but a guide, and that what is believed today is only based on what we know today.
