Hello everyone, I am one of the many RNs with this dread disease. Early on, I had an MI scan done (head) that revealed lesions in the white matter of the brain. These could never be explained. I have always felt this was a significate finding in Morgellons Disease. Presently, I am trying to get a neurologist to review as many MRI scans as possible to see if there are any commonalities or other issues within them.
If anyone has had a MRI Scan of the brain (head) since or even prior to contracting Morgellons and would be intersted in taking part, please send me an email at sunnyand7777@yahoo.com. If this works out, there should not even be a cost since most medical facilities will send scans, reports, etc. to another medical provider at no charge to the patient. I sure hope this continues to be true.
Please pass this request on to others who might be interested.
Thanks! Sunny

Hi,
About four weeks ago the pain in my jaw was such that I ended up in the ER at a local hospital. I was administered morphine and antibiotics via IV. No x-rays were taken but I did have a MRI of my lower jaw. Would you be interested that?
Let me know!

Gwen,
I had a MRI done at University of Michigan when I became seriously ill with Lyme Disease . Mine also showed lesions in the white matter of the brian. The lesions were explained to be possible Lyme Disease. I have the written results but am trying to remember if I have the original CD. Maybe I could order it.
Give me some direction and I'll try to help.
Karen

I have Lyme Disease & Morgellons. I received a spect scan or maybe it was a pet scan, done in nuclear medicine. As I recall it measured blood flow and looked for lesions. I was found to have lesions on my brain and blood flow changes that were consistent with having Lyme.

Hey to one and all, I have the possibilities of 1 or 2 Neurologists to review these. As soon as I can get a definite commitment from either or both, we will be up and going. I need everyone to send me contact information: name, phone, email and what you had done--to get an idea for the doctor(s). When we are ready the films, Cd's, etc should be able to be sent directly from where they were done to the consulting neurologist without a cost to the patients. I hope that still holds true. My sincerest of thanks to everyone! Sunny

I had an MRI done of the head as well as a CT scan of the chest, but I do not have a copy or a copy of the report. About a year earlier I also had an radiographic movie test for acid reflux of the esophogus. I was able to get a copy of it from the Hospital. They have indicated that these are available on-line to the Hospital associated doctor. One thing I noticed was that some details that I could see on my home computer I could not see at all on my slightly less resolution monitor at work.

Hey sunny... good to see you! Hope you're doing well! I have the CD of an MRI done on my boobs, but I doubt you'd want it... the older I get, the further away they are from my head. ;D hugs ~~ bannanny

Thanks to everyone for all the emails and posts. I am getting contact information and just some basic facts about what was done and when. This will give the drs a general idea of what they will be dealing with. Then, we can come of with a working plan to actually get everything to them. I am thinking the actual films/Cds will be needed, not just a report. Although, the reports may be a great help since most have similar findings. This is what peaked the interest & start this rolling. Don't worry about getting the films/Cds, that will be the easy part. Sooo--hang tight and keep the contact information coming. I have been wanting to do this for almost 7 years. I think we have waited long enough. In answer to prayers, some great professionals are (tentatively) making this a reality. I will keep you posted as this moves forward, hopefully, quickly. Sunny

I don't have a copy, but I was talkin to my mom about this. She reminded me that I had white spots on an MRI of my brain too. But it was about 8 years before I ever got morgellons. The doc thought about MS, but ruled it out and finally said it was nothing to worry about.

sunny, I sent you an email but though I would post this also:
I had an MRI of my brain just six weeks or so after developing Morgellons symptoms. I am looking at the report, it says:
"IMPRESSION: Unremarkable MRI of the brain. Bilateral basal ganglia cysts likely representing anatomic variant.
FINDINGS: No significant abnormality is seen. Several small basal ganglia region cysts a few mm in size appear to be related to the adjacent extensions of the temporal horns and likely represent subependymal cysts. These do not enhance and are not associated with mass effect or edema. The brain parenchyma, ventricles and subarachnoid spaces are otherwise unremarkable in appearance as are the adjacent sinuses and musculoskeletal structures."

The ventricles are being christened.
one thing I'm curious about.. have any new MRIs from people who have morgellons report a "mucosal cyst" in their upper palate?
this parallels the place where the "moon nectar of youth" forms.

What the heck is the "moon nectar of youth" anyway? do you ever get that sinus drainage that's not like normal mucous? where you try to clear your throat but it wont go away? where it started as all of the other symptoms started? it's a gland that forms between the roof of your mouth and your sinuses... producing a substance that interacts with the kundalini energy that causes the electrical, hair movement and vibratory sensations... when the kundalini energy mixes with the moon nectar the body can sustain life without food. though i've only seen one person that actually went through the process of stopping eating food to watch it's results. he can be seen here... of course the character Jesus and Krishna and Buddha also went through this process.. fasting ... to let the moon nectar do it's job... -
