sounds like they're trying to just hype up ratings because of the fear that the crawling sensation of new nerves and kundalini is something you could catch like from a bug or germ... i think they're feeding off of the general public's medical/scientific ignorance and hysteria.

More info on The Doctors Show today! Curing an Unknown Sickness Imagine being sick but no doctor is able to properly diagnose your problem. Forty-year-old Crystal's life has completely turned upside down by a condition that is so unusual and hard to explain, she is afraid to tell her family about it. Beauty Breakthroughs From a face lift in a can to teeth whitening on the go, beauty expert Stacy Cox gives you some of her favorite beauty secrets! “I feel like bugs are inside of me,” Crystal says. “It feels like something’s actually biting my eye. There’s pinprick sensations on your skin. You get very itchy. It’s totally like a bad science-fiction story. It’s like pure evil, I swear." Crystal has visit doctors about her condition, but none of them understand or can treat her symptoms. “The medical society has shunned us,” Crystal adds. “I saw a doctor who told me I was delusional.” Crystal suffers from Morgellons disease, a rare condition where people affected say that it feels like parasites are crawling under their skin. Symptoms of the disease include: skin lesions, crawling sensations both within and on the skin surface, fatigue, cognitive difficulties, such as short-term memory loss and attention deficits, behavioral effects, and fibers, granules, black specks and fuzzballs reported in and on skin lesions. Crystal’s symptoms become so overwhelming, she spends most of her time vacuuming her home and washing her bedding in an effort to get rid of what she believes are bugs. She also puts on ointment to reduce the crawling sensation. She has even put bleach directly on her skin to try and stop the sensations. Crystal has had a difficult time finding treatments for her symptoms because Morgellons disease, however, is not recognized by many in the medical community. Dr. Harvey explains this condition. “The first thing you really need to know about Morgellons is that Morgellons is in no medical book,” says Dr. William T. Harvey, a Morgellons expert who has successfully treated the disease. “In fact, the word wasn’t even brought up from the history of medicine until 2002, [and it was] by a person who’s child had something like [Crystal has suffered from]. [The woman] had no idea how to get it solved, and no physician who could give her an answer. So she wound up going back to the history books and found something that sounded like this from France in the 1600s.” Vacation Health CVS Pharmacist Jeff McClusky gives you some tips for staying healthy on your next vacation. • Have questions about staying safe on your next trip? Ask CVS Pharmacist Jeff McClusky! Before the disease was known as Morgellons, doctors told patients who had these symptoms they suffered from delusions of parasitosis. “People who had parasites crawling on them and the docs couldn’t find them,” Dr. Harvey says. “The assumption was that it was a delusional problem, that there are no bugs. Patients came to see me being told that they had delusions of parasitotis, but they really looked like they were sick.” Research on patients showed both emotional and physical problems. By magnifying areas of the skin, Dr. Harvey saw possible causes of their itchiness, such as parasites, bacteria and viruses. He began to understand the disease and found ways to treat it, including using anti-parasitics, anti-bacterials and antibiotics. “We think the fact that they respond well to treatment just implies that we are dealing with agents.” Dr. Harvey says. Dr. Travis tells Crystal that Dr. Harvey will take her on as a patient and try to treat her disease. And because more still needs to be learned about Morgellons, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is funding research about the ailment. “Getting past this disease is not an undoable thing,” Dr. Harvey says. www.thedoctorstv.com/main/show_synopsis/260?section=synopsis

Just saw it-- all and all I thought it was good I like the Idea that the young doctor goody two shoes (cant remember his name) brought up the fact that delusional parsitosis was first described 50 year's ago when if doctors couldn't see it-- Then they thought must be in the mind (still do )---I have been known to harp about how the information doctors go by is out dated and I am glad the it was brought up Doctor Harvey rocked as always !! Thank you Crystal for being so brave

Bannanny, Dr. Harvey was located in Colorado Springs, CO? I am thinking. Someone on a different board was treated by him and she said she is like 90% better. She told me that she was one of the last patients he took when he was still accepting patients. Now she does see "other doctors" at the same clinic that Dr. Harvey practiced from under his direction. (she told me this a few months ago) Here is what I am wondering ..... That show was taped in August of 2008 (nearly one year ago).. I do wonder what kind of improvement "Crystal" has seen in nearly one year of treatment. Does anyone know? Thank you Good question... I hope she is doing better, and has up-graded her boy-friend to a better one as well....

My thoughts rhorn...bailin when someone needs you most? and on more than one occasion? c'mon. Rhorn said: "Good question... I hope she is doing better, and has up-graded her boy-friend to a better one as well...." I was under the impression that Rhorn was hoping that "Crystal" was doing better from treatment with Dr. Harvey. DC, You are adressing Rhorn but What does your comment have to do with hoping "Crystal" is better? Appreciate the clarification cuz it's unclear/confusing to read what you wrote as it applies to Rhorn's statement. thank you, Kmarie,, let me try to clarify the meaning of DC's post.. You posted,,,, "I do wonder what kind of improvement "Crystal" has seen in nearly one year of treatment." I responded by saying,,, "Good question... I hope she is doing better" (meaning; with her medical treatment).. Also stating; "and has up-graded her boy-friend to a better one as well" (meaning; I hope she has found a another boy-friend more worthy of such a sweet person as she seems to be.) DC responded by saying,,,, "My thoughts rhorn... (meaning; DC agreed on both counts) Then adding the comment "bailin when someone needs you most? and on more than one occasion?" (meaning; her boy-friend appeared to be a shallow person, much less committed to there relationship when things became less than perfect) Also adding the comment " c'mon." (Meaning; the guy is a self-serving prick!) At least that's how I read it...... I hope that helps to explain things ;D

is dr. harveys' protocol listed anywhere? did the person who is 90% better mention anywhere what the treatment was that she did?
in december the newsletter said they were tweaking a protocol with several disciplines.
has anyone seen or used this protocol?
