I took the MRF's July 09 Report in to my doctor on my July 7th appointment.. He had not seen it yet, but just glancing through it he stated "this is really good work!" I pointed out the "average 33lb weight gain after Morgellons onset" on the MRF report.. I showed him my photos from "Oct 2002" and "March 2003" just 6 weeks before my onset, where my average adult weight had always been between 180-185lbs.. and a more current pic that shows my average weight between 220-225 lbs, telling him it had been that way since I became very bloated, just after my onset.. He looked back on my Feb 2007 chart (my first visit with him) and said "yea, here it shows you at 224lbs" then I showed him my hospital release papers from "July 2003" where I had been admitted for an extremely high white cell count and had to have 5 days worth of IV antibiotics to bring it down "just 2 months after my onset" my weight was 223.4lbs at the time.. My doctor said; "now, that's really odd!! but everything about this stuff is odd.."

Same here on the weight gain, Rhorn. I gained 30 pounds at onset and haven't been able to lose much of it since no matter what I don't eat.

Rhorn,
Thank you so much for sharing.
This is really interesting! And I'm so glad your doctor had the sense to understand the MRF report. Imho it IS excellent.
I know many who've gained weight (alot of weight) due to Morgellons.
A dear person I knew went from a size 7-8 which is about 125 lbs to 517 pounds and she didn't eat much at all.
((( but, imho))) cause I sure don't know, it seems, and I do mean "seems" like...that anything with alcohol (like beer, wine, mixed drinks) it "seems" that is the worst combo, with having Morgellons.
May I ask you if you drink alcohol at all?
I sound like your mother here, hahahhaah and heck, believe me, I'm not one against ANY alcoholic drinks (I sure enjoy them too) but from the info of others (I've known) those who drink "even a teeny bit"...seem to put on the pounds faster than those who don't.
Maybe this isn't an accurate (perceiving/projection) on my part, I don't know for sure, which is why I'm VERY curious to see if this is consistent.
I do know too that parasites WILL cause weight gain also, (in reading) about this facet of infections also.
Thank you again for sharing.

No Toni,,, I haven't drank more than 2 beers a year since I was in my 20s...

Wow...you're gooood! Better than me too, ;Dhahahha
You know, I appreciate your info on that, because I really was thinking (that alcohol made this Morgs) go wild...(from others I know, and have known who've passed) experiences - I've known those who did have a toast here and there...and they told me they were gaining weight like there was no tomorrow. So of course I thought "that might have some kind of connection to accelerating this" mess/morgs.
I've asked this question to "just about everyone" when they've mentioned they're gaining weight...because I have been for the longest time wondering IF this had anything to do with anything regarding Morgs.
I've lost an incredible life long friend of mine to Morgs/cancer, and he drank alcohol (not alot) nothing more than the average person who drinks would....and I thought for sure it was because of that. So I've been sort of in "fear" to drink myself.
I knew a gal who only drank one cocktail a day (to keep her nerves settled) because of Morgs, and she put on the weight like no one could if they tried.
That's the ONLY reason, (in my mind) I have had this great wonderment about "being afraid to have a cocktail" because of what I've seen happen.
So that helps clear some major curiosity up for me, and thank you.
Back to square one...I sure don't get it.

Gosh sometimes I feel like I cant even do morgellons right! It makes me nervous when my body does the opposite of common symptoms. I lost 40 lbs in 3 months at onset and still am waaay underweight. I was solid muscle too--(was a dancer and choreographer). I had to give up the only career Im qualified for. No matter how much I tried, I simply lost my strength (and also was fainting- some days just standing up made me black out. It used to make me furious when people would say that they wished it would happen to them. I know they were just joking but they didnt stop to think that not only did I feel awful and scared, I lost more than weight, I lost my whole sense of identity. I did have my ankles swell a couple times but it didnt last long. Crazy thing is in spite of losing all that weight (much of it muscle) my hair and nails thrived. Or so I thought...

I have gained several sizes in clothing. Used to be 5/6 or 7/8 most of my life and now I am lucky if large loose pants fit. It seems like my skin is getting thicker though, not like normal fat. I can't stand how morgellons has made me feel fat and ugly. I used to be beautiful once upon a time.

mfromcanada I feel for you. I used to be considered beautiful too but now I just look frail and unhealthy. The weird thing is in spite of all the weight loss, I dont have wrinkles-- oh I have a bit of crows feet and a few lines around my mouth but there is no way my skin should not be worse. I mean I was blessed with great genes but with all the worry and trauma my body has gone through I should at least look my age. Plus its hard to find appropriate clothes. I have to take size 2s to the tailor. I did find the perfect pair of jeans at Gap (size 12 GIRLS : but wouldnt you know they discontinued them.

rhorn, wow you were nice and thin before Morgellons. However, I think you look very handsome and manly in your current photo. When I first got this disease, I lost a lotttttttttttttttt of weight, then I gained back and more, then I lost again but not as much. Still losing about a pound ever two/three months. I am happy for that. Your doctor sound good, glad you have a physican who cares, it makes all the difference. CB

Rhorn, Good to hear you have an open minded Dr. and great to hear his thoughts. __________________________________________________ Weight loss and weight gain both 'can be' contributed to endocrine/thyroid issues. This is a good resource. It's interesting to note that thyroid disorders are often misdiagnosed as well. www.hormone.org/Thyroid/thyroid.cfmJJ

When I first got morgs I lost 23 pounds... and I wasn't heavy to begin with. I ended up looking like a POW camper. I've gained 10 of it back, but I needed to. So no weight gain for me either kiki. I used to dance too... have you ever heard of Stephan Wenta?

i bloated up like the Stay Pufft Marshmallow Man. My drivers liscence photo from that time is hilarious people don't believe it's me. i'm much thinner now.. due to sparse eating.. but drinking a ton of filtered water. you'd be amazed at how your body feels after not eating for 2-3 days just drinking water.. you wouldn't expect it.. but it's what happened. and not smoking or consuming anything that whole time.. many aches and pains went away.. and everything felt very loose. and moveable. try it if you like.
alot of the black specs, white/tan grains and gell exuding from us can be attributed to our bodies pushing out coagulated collected toxins at a massively excellerated rate... toxins that have built up over our entire lives. try not putting anything but water into your body for a few days.. and see what your body does when it's not constantly pushing out what we're constantly pushing in and you'll be suprised.

I'm glad you're feeling better Acacian (M)... did you find a place to live yet?
I also wanted to add how cute you still are rhorn! In the pics of you from 2002 and 2003, you're the spittin image of an ex-boyfriend of mine. Maybe that's why I always thought you looked so familiar to me. Is it just the color of the pics or have you're eyes gotten darker? They seem darker in the second pic and even darker in the third one to me. Just wonderin...

You saw what I looked like in my 20's with the easter pics. Here's where I was around 2000-2002... and as much as I hate to post this pic, here's where I was October 2008. Just 9 months ago... It was taken at my family reunion. Me (with sunglasses on and my hair just growing out from being bald), my cousin and her daughter were trying to be tooooo cool, thus the ridiculous look on my face. I guess you could say I'm still thin, but just imagine me being 10 pounds lighter than what I am in the pic. That's why I say I looked like a POW camper! So now you all know just how dippy I look these days... sorry if I scared ya. hugs ~~ bannanny
