My sisters Jack Russell has been maintaining extremely well with Panacur.
On the first of EVERY month for 3 consecutive days (1 dose according to the dogs weight is this given).
On the 1st, 2nd and 3rd days (of the beginning of each month).
Then stopped after those 3 days. Stopped for almost 2 weeks.
Then she gives him another dose on the 15th, 16th and 17th (the middle of EVERY month).
That's kept lesions and itching away for him.
No hair loss, no loss of appetite, nothing. He runs and plays and eats and sleeps normally. And my sis has Morgs too.
Where as before (the Panacur) he'd yelp out like something was biting him - it probably was, and his appetite was "up and down".
One would never know he's got anything going on, and he's been appearing in excellent health for several years now.
(not that I think it's cured Morgellons) and I do think he has it still, but I think it's helped him (the dog) remain feeling good.
Hope that helps.

Hi Hereshoping,
We have had two dogs that completely recovered from Morgellons, and three humans. For our two Peeks we found that Olive Leaf Extract from Nature Plus (with glycerin) worked well. Just put it straight on their tongues. Also a shampoo mix that we made up really helped with the lesions and itching: 1/2 Giovanni Triple Treat Shampoo 1/2 Aloe and Oatmeal Shampoo for pets Include in the 8.5 oz. Giovanni bottle 10 drops of Peppermint oil 10 drops of Balsam of Peru I also gave them Cat's Claw but my wife doesn't think that helped so much. I usually win most bets around the house though.
For you, just find my old posts on our herbal cure. It took about 1.5 years of treatment to recover from Lyme and Morgellons. That was about 4 years ago.
Blue Skies...........John

Jwf always gives great advice, here's something else you can throw in the mix www.dinovite.com/I have heard of this stuff curing dogs who had really bad morgellons like symptoms, total hair loss, itching, biting, open sores, everything, look at thier ingredient list, if only we humans ate so healthy. www.dinovite.com/ingredients.htmlFinally, and this doesn't usually go over well but consider not having pets. I am symptom free now but if I go into a home with pets I will crawl for 48 hours before it stops, they are very, very bad carriers of whatever Morgellons is. Not saying put them down by any means. Call them and tell them about your dogs, they hear it all the time, and their stuff helps dogs, I am not associated with them in any way. I wish you well ... www.dinovite.com/index.php/testimonials.html/

i'm curious.. how can you tell that you know 100% that your dogs have morgellons?
is it just because you feel it and percieve it to be parasites.. tha t you think that you must have transmitted it to your dog or your dog to you.. and then any itching they do is noticed and must be morg-related itching?... how do you know that the lesions aren't from somthing else?
how do you know that youd dog has morgellons? what scientific evidence do you have.. if there's no proof.. then i would hold back on extra treatments on your dog.. you might just kill them with over-treatment.
if you do think it's morgs.. how about get them tested for other things first?
how can you say a dog "has" morgs .. when we don't even difinitively know via any official source.. "what" morgs is? you can say yes my dog has sores from scratching.. many dogs have that... no.. ALL dogs have that at some time of their life.
i think it's important not to make our pets suffer our own delusions. it's dangerous.

I know there's alot more info out there for our sweet animals now than there was when 3 of my dogs came down with it. I lost them all and my heart will hurt forever becuz of it too. I only wish I would've known then what we know now about how we can help them... but animals with morgellons hadn't even become a real topic yet when mine got sick.
I was also a vet tech for 8 years, but it never prepared me for anything like this. So don't feel you should know what to do... this was never in any book.
I do know how you're feeling tho hereshoping. I know you don't wanna lose your babies. I also know you can get the upper hand by following what's been suggested to you here. JWF has had incredible results with his protocols... I'm just so happy everyone's here to help you. I'll be praying for all of your dogs to be running and playing real soon... and (of course) I'll be praying for you too. If you ever wanna talk, just pm me... I'm always around somewhere.
big hugs ~~ bannanny

Hi herehoping Welcome to Lymebusters I first learned the virtues of sodium perborate (oxy clean ) purely by accident when I was filling my tub for a bath I saw the oxy clean on the washer and shrugged my shoulders and said awe what the heck" and threw some in the tub I could tell right away that it was different than any thing else that I had tried-- my skin almost felt normal for a short time after the bath Without going into a long drawn out story on how oxy clean has helped me like nothing else has I will tell you that I still take baths it on a regular basis and I feel I am getting the morgs under control more every day I was recently doing some research into sodium perborate and I found this recipe for dog mange using sodium perborate I have been using it for about two weeks and I have to say I am vary pleased with its performance on my morgs I think it will help your dogs exert "However, I do recommend a less toxic form of borax, which is sodium perborate if you can find one. The secret is that borax (plus hydrogen peroxide) will work better then most other remedies I have tried, this includes mineral oil, neem oil (no, neem oil does not kill the mange as effectively as sodium perborate) I have tried it. In my "mange colonies" and commercial brands to kill insects don't work. Hydrogen peroxide DOES NOT KILL mange, I USED IT SIMPLY USED IT AS A CATALYST for ordinary borax in case you cannot obtain sodium perborate. Mineral oils simply prevent oxygen from reaching mange, but that didn't stop it. I have tried naphta, bentonite clays, DMSO, potassium permanganate, light fluid, etc. They all worked temporarily, and it just came back. I must make a strong statement that the formula (borax+h2o2 or sodium perborate) works bests and it is broad spectrum. You can use it to control mange, mites, fleas, and lyme disease (initiated by those crawly insects). I have actually compared side to side with neem oil, mineral oil, apple cider vinegar and others here in Bangkok and this is the most wide spectrum cure I have found. Borax prevents denaturation of DNA/RNA in dogs and I currently use this as life extension for dogs. For example a ribose sugar, deoxyribose sugar, and various sugar that causes accelerated aging in dogs can be slowed down with supplementation of dogs indirectly when you do the borax wash. Hi Ant, I just skimmed over what you said, & the site. Was wondering if I could use this on my face, my used to be pretty face. I'm ugly as a dog, but ya know women have to be especially careful. I know I sound like an idiot. I should have waited till I had time for this info. to sink in. I'm already sunken in. Or how bout my arms? What I thought were just wings, I read last night is related to morgellons, from one of the recent posts, maybe Tony's. I can't remember what it said, but I think it's morgs weighting down my arms. This happened in one week, and it's not old age, it's humiliation. Whatever, thanks from my dogs. :-*freaky

Freaky,
This may help you. I'm assuming you use the print option on the far right in the yellow bar above the thread?
In order to save $ on ink I have my printer preferences set to draft, and black ink only. I just checked a print preview (from the print option) from this thread. Because I had printing preferences set to 'Black ink only' the colored fonts do show up in a shade of black in the preview. Depending on the intensity of ink you choose (more than economy) you should be able to read it after printing it out.
You can also (from the print option page) right click your mouse and select all which copies that whole page. Then paste it into a 'word document', highlight and change the yellow color of the font from 'word' and print it out from there.
If you want help with anything like this I can walk you through step by step in a pm if you would like.

Also, copy and paste the text into notepad and then print it, anything copied into notepad loses it's coloring and formatting and will print fine ...

Whatever, thanks from my dogs. :-*freaky Freaky From the pictures Ive seen and what you have posted on this forum I think your quite foxy both inside and out just think of your self as a fine wine that gets better with age The only thing that I would warn about is don't get it in your eyes and your mouth I don't follow the recipe exactly I soak cotton rounds and rub it into the skin really good and put it on not only after the bath and leave it on but when they are active I use about 1/2 teaspoon in about 1/2 pint of lukewarm water the warm water helps to release the peroxide in the preborate You might expect and exodus and a little inflammation at first from the reaction of the skin from die off --a herxermer reaction of the skin as it were---but after a time of using it that goes to a minimum This is essentially a dry form of borax and hydrogen peroxide borax is a relatively safe to humans insecticide used to kill ants mites and cockroaches and other varied insects It kills in two ways as a demeculent (sticks to the outside of the insect and dries them out much like diotomatious earth ) and as a stomach poison I suspect that it kills the bacteria the gut so the insect can not digest its food properly so it dies Scientist say that they don't know exactly why it works as a gut poison but this is what I suspect

Thank you JJ and Grady for your suggestions for the yellow printing cure. I'm afraid that I'm stuck on Yellow.
Forgot to mention Hereshoping that we used the sachets full of menthol crystals under the doggy pads & pillows. Stopped all the gnawing and scratching and jumping about.
You could just see the relief on their faces.

Depending on the size of the dog, I'd say 1-2 capfulls of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar in their water dish daily. This helps maintain their ph and if it's outta whack it balances it. I've seen thousands of dogs over the years and this seems to be the best remedy for everything from cancer to yeast infections. A little GSE wouldn't hurt too.

Here's more on the vinegar too. Not trying to disagree with you at all Ali...just thought this too might help ( us all while we are alkalining). (I'd never even taken this into consideration) about how too much alkalining WILL cause "yeast overgrowth" IF we have that going on and ACV contains sugar, which I didn't know that either till reading this article. dianeschuller.wordpress.com/2007/01/18/vinegar-for-dogs-is-this-a-good-natural-remedy/
