Doctors will reap the consequences of their own actions. I can not wait until we can go to medical diagnois by machine. I am so looking forward to watching the doctors go out of business. Nurses will always be here but doctors, oh yeah, they will be phased out. That day is not far away.
I can see it all now:
At the age of eighteen, the government insitutes law that all persons living in the U.S. must register at the City Hall closet to your home address . Upon registration, you will be given a personal medical diagnois machine to use for all physicals, vitals, or illness. Please see instruction manual. The Manual states: Hook up probes to ear lobes and wrists of your upper torso, then attach ethernet into computer. Proceed to websites, diagnoseme.com, sick.com or pregnant.com. Please answser all questions and wait for further instructions. Diagnois determined. Computer prints out the diagnois, a copy emailed directly City Hall Medical Department. Prescription is electronicaly sent to drug store of choice. Of course all this for a fee for service basis.
Or for those who have no home computer, go to Walgreens, clerk hooks up the monitor to our ear lobes and wrists, computer promts voice activagted questions and we verbally answer them. Wait for green light on machine to display medical exam complete. Wait for diagnois print out.
Script sent to our drugstore of choice. Fee for service.
Ah yes, so looknig forward to that day.
Hey Bonnie,,,,
Love the analogy! It would work a lot better, and much more accurate than the medical system we have to suffer with now!
A room full of 3rd graders has a better chance of rendering an accurate medical diagnoses than most of todays doctors do.. At-least 3rd graders are smart enough to ask a few questions before coming to a conclusion.
I was watching a rerun of one of those old 60's Star-track episodes about 3 years ago and the doctor ran a full-body scan on one of the crew and found these tiny little unknown parasites had invaded his whole body.. I was thinking,, if they can scan a person to watch the blood flow in there vain's "even those really small ones" then they could do that today! They just won't!!!
Come to think of it,, if there really is something crawling around under our skin, and as big as they feel like they are,,, they could put an ultrasound reader on top of any area where there is movement, just hold it still, and be able to see any movement there was within and beneath the skin,, just like they see a babies heart beating..
