I recieved this reply from my inquiry into the Morgellons Investigation. I am surprized , I thought they had conculed their study. Thank you for your email about the unexplained skin condition which some refer to as “Morgellons.” CDC is doing a study to learn more about who may be affected with “Morgellons,” the symptoms they are having, and what factors may contribute to it. At this point in the study, all the data from research participants have been collected. CDC is still analyzing the data, and results are not yet available. CDC does not provide healthcare or maintain a referral list of providers. CDC suggests that you contact your primary care doctor if you feel you have this unexplained condition. If you do not have a primary care doctor, you may be able to find one in your area by contacting your insurance company. You can also use an online physician locator which professional medical societies like the American Medical Association webapps.ama-assn.org/doctorfinder/home.jsp or the American Academy of Dermatology www.aad.org/public/searchderm.htm provide on their websites. For more information regarding “Morgellons,” please visit the CDC website. Jen

Well, looks like they made a wee bit of progress. They are certainly not worried about this being contagious.

Actually,, they clearly state morgellons as being an "unexplained skin condition".. This means the CDC's "DOP days" are over!!

binarky seems like lots of morgies are having a hard time right now. don't be discouraged, you are not alone. seems like the time is right to start organizing a protest. no more rally for reason BS. that was never a good idea in my opinion but i got out voted. if you are having a hard time with anxiety don't hesitate to go to your doc for help. lots of us are using valium xanax or ativan. no shame in that. just take it as you need it. my understanding is that ativan really helps with the crawling and biting sensation as well. ginger savely as much as said so on the gods learning channel program. if you need to talk feel free to call me 404 936-3654. hang in there baby ppy

Unfortunately, they are still addressing Morgellons as a skin disease, and not even mentioning the fact that this disease is systemic! They KNOW it, but still they are not discussing or even considering the fact that there are other issues here than just skin disturbances. That tells me that their investigation was useless. Some of us with this disease never have skin disturbances, yet we have all of the other symptoms...and vice versa. They haven't even "scratched" the surface of this disease. This is just a waste of the lives, time and money. Three years ago, I contacted my former dermatologist at Duke University Medical Center where I had been a patient for more than 10 years...for palmo-plantar pustulosis and was in the study for the drug Soriatane, the sister drug of Accutane. I called him and asked him about Morgellons Disease. He said that he had some patients who claimed to have this strange disease, they studied it, and found no dermatological correlation with Morgellons. He flat out told me that "There is no such disease as Morgellons!" All patients were shown to have other medical issues that caused their conditions. Now, I knew this man for 10 years, had a good relationship with him, and he was clearly upset with me for asking such a stupid question! I was very upset with him as well. He was the doctor that told me early on, that if doctors acted like God, to run, run, run and never look back! And here we are, just 3 years later and the CDC is still trying to sell us their theory that this is a skin disease? That's BS, pure and simple! Just how stupid do they think we are? Let them walk in our shoes for a day and see if they change their ignorant minds....if they have functioning ones, that is! I'm happy that they might reduce the number of DOP diagnoses, but they really haven't ruled that out to my satisfaction. Just because they send you to a dermatologist, doesn't mean that they won't say it's DOP anyway! Most of them are the ones diagnosing us with DOP!!! I'm just sick to death of their pontifical opinions when they haven't a clue as to what we are dealing with, dying with, and just asking for simple, honest answers. They can't give them, because they do KNOW the how, why, when, where, and who made this disease and are covering their own asses with both hands! Tomorrow I will post pix of what came out of my body today, and let them tell me that I need to see a dermatologist! Ignorant idiots ALL!!! ctbarb Attachments:

They must've at least come to some kind of conclusion that this thing is very strange. But either way, it's gonna take A L O T of research before anyone out there ever gets the gist of what morgs is made of. The unknowns are just too complex... I also think the intention behind it's creation was not only to make people's lives a living hell, but also to confuse the sh*t outta anyone trying to research it... and anyone who's stricken with it too.
We all know how many different things we can match our samples to. Is that becuz morgs is replicating everything that's in our environments, and the GMO's we eat, plus the fibers in our clothing, furniture, and towels, etc.? Is it replicating and mutating the mere things we're each made up of? I'm beginning to think it's doin all that... or it could also be it's somehow able to draw every single thing from bacteria, mold, fungi, germs, and you name it into our bodies, to where we have such a conglomeration of things goin on inside of us that it makes it nearly impossible to give one single diagnosis. Instead, we end up getting 10 different kinds and still never get to the crux of what's causing them. Just like they do in normal medicine anymore... treat the symptoms, make money on it, and forget the cause altogether. The only difference is the crux of this disease just keeps causing 1 thing or another to take hold in our bods. So now we've got so many different symptoms goin on, that we don't know what's causing what anymore. Is it morgs causing this, or something else causing that? Complex doesn't even come close to covering this thing.
But that's just the way it has me thinkin these days... I hope it's just that I'm on overload that I'm thinkin that way too. Nothin else seems to fit this thing tho... not that I've been able to come up with anyway. So yeah... I think it's gonna take a helluva lot more than a study with Kaiser and the US armed forces being given 300,000 bucks to split to be able to figure it out. I mean, we've been studying it every single day (plus living the thing 24/7) and I think we know more than anyone researching it does, including them... yet we're no less confused than we were last year at this time. Gonna be awhile before anyone cracks this thing guys... that's why I gave it to God and stopped thinkin the CDC or anyone else is gonna come to the rescue. For me anyway, He's my answer.
hugs ~~ bannanny

Jellyfish Fight Terrorists Biochemists And Engineers Create Fast-acting Pathogen Sensor September 1, 2008 — Engineers invented a device to bring air samples into contact with genetically engineered biosensors in the effort to detect dangerous biological agents. The technology uses multiple collections of altered cell antibodies, each collection designed to respond to a specific pathogen by releasing photons of a unique wavelength upon finding it. Detectors measure the photons' wavelengths and interpret the pathogens they represent.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- See also: Plants & Animals Pests and Parasites Biology Biotechnology Matter & Energy Detectors Optics Electronics Reference Pathogen Biosensor Phytopathology Vector (biology) Anthrax, plague and small pox are some of the possible pathogens terrorists could use against us; but now, researchers say jellyfish are helping prevent these kinds of attacks.
From public transportation to federal and government buildings, experts are naming likely targets of bioterrorism.
Now, this innovative biosensor developed by scientists and engineers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology's (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory can identify harmful bacteria or viruses in the air in less than two minutes.
"It's at least ten times faster than any other automated sensor that's available," says James Harper, a biochemist and engineer at MIT.
In the lab, Todd Rider first developed the CANARY Sensor using jellyfish DNA and a high-voltage electrical charge. "I was in the lab with the electric creator," says Rider, a biologist at MIT. "I had mouse cells and the jellyfish DNA, and I frizzed my hair, said please give me life and pressed the buttons -- and the jellyfish DNA went inside the cells, and we had glowing mouse cells."
The glowing cells reveal the presence of a targeted pathogen. Still, scientists had no way to test air samples for pathogens until Harper created the PANTHER.
Scientists say operation is as simple as loading your DVD player. Disks containing sixteen chambers are loaded into the PANTHER. The machine pulls air through the disk to collect and test any pathogen that might be in the air. "That disk contains the cells that are the key to the canary technology," Harper says. "It releases those cells into the collected particles and looks for the resulting light, and gives you a sense of what's detected."
If a dangerous pathogen is detected, the sensor goes off -- alerting anyone who could be in harm's way.
Scientists and engineers say the CANARY technology can eventually be used for medical diagnostics to test patient samples. It may even be used in food processing plants to identify contaminants like E. coli or salmonella.
The technology is now licensed commercially.
WHAT IS PANTHER? The PANTHER device uses immune cells altered to act as detectors of dangerous biological agents. The device takes in air, runs it past the cells, which are gathered into groups, each designed to react to specific agent. The cells, which are engineered to respond to a specific pathogen, release photons of light when they detect their target. Other detectors recognize the release of light to indicate the pathogen that was detected. Based on the wavelengths of light that were released, the device outputs a list of dangerous pathogens that were found, about three minutes after beginning the test.
This report has also been produced thanks to a generous grant from the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, Inc.
Hi Barb since you live up that way just walk in and tell them you want to test there device for pathogens, that you might have been exposed to something. If they use the device on you and it tells you a pathogen is living in you ,that would be great, any way these scientist would love to test there new toy .Best regards cam

Dear Cam, That's an excellent idea! Since I have S. mansoni worms, eggs, and various stages of their lifecycle living inside of me, they should set off their alarms! I went right by their door on my way back to CT! Thanks again, I will check into it. Barb Attachments:
