as i walk through the city i see many suffering from skin lesions. not just pimples, lots of those too.
as if just suffing from morgellons is not bad enough loneliness also becomes part of the disease.
morgellons, herpes, aids and other diseases are limiting peoples lives socially adding suffering to thier diseases.
my thought for the day, is there should be a special place to meet and greet others that is supportive to sick people.
would you go to morgellons cafe? herpes cafe? aids cafe? disease cafe? what would you call it?

Interesting thought Oneder. Im being totally honest on this now.... I wouldnt think twice about being outdoors with several people with morgellons but being indoors would more of a concern for me . My symptoms are down now and I would worry about getting other peoples parasites to add to the mix of whatever I have now. I think it could be more likely to catch something indoors where its warm or in an enclosed space .....I could be wrong and it may not be contagious at all but since we dont really know its a concern of mine. But I like the idea of a place for us to go and meet......Im not sure there are that many of us though to get that going

Hi, Frisque. I have had those same concerns. I would love for as many of us as can work it out to be able to visit together, but it might be best to wait until we know more about what is going on and how morgs is transmitted. I appreciate your openness, and I suspect many others have this same concern?

its just an idea to talk about, i think we are far from anything like this. but it is interesting to think about and see that others are interested in gathering.
think about this. when you go out to cafes and public gatherings you are already mixing with many unknown factors. use to be that when you went to mexico you shouldnt drink the water now you shouldnt drink the water anywhere. i have seen morgellons and herpes servers at restraunts. and our friends and family all ready meet with us, why not strangers too?

I think it would be a great, really successful idea, and would probably be a full cafe. That said, I think I would be nervous to go as well until we have answers about what it is that we're picking up, and how. But not everyone reacts with the same nervousness, and after a while with this sickness maybe you just have to say enough's enough and take some risks. You could serve strong chai brews and olive leaf tea.

So nice of you to create a "Morgellons Cafe" thread for us - a place to drop in and say 'hey'... what's going on, how's your day, I'll have a regular with cream, please? ;D

Oneder and all, I love the idea of a place to gather and the honesty about our well-conditioned fears, Im a teacher and between nurses and teachers we are high-incidence Morg sufferers. I too see it more and more. ...as we all become hypervigilant about what we see and what it might mean. How 'buot a Cafe called "Job's Place" (as in the biblical Job, not employment cafe) with Hospital Grade HEPA air filters the size of minivans in each FIR infared booth, with hyperbaric oxygen pumped in and monks, Jedi knights, yogis and sages to infuse healing energies (for bodies and worried lonely souls) into every offering. Sign me up, and Ill have mine with a dose of camaraderie! flo

live music nights and poetry nights. i will bring my antique banjo ukulele and sing oh susanna for you all.
yes friski i have tried wheat grass big time. i had shelves from floor to ceiling growing under lights, drinking lots for months and months. i felt better. but no cure. maybe as part of a larger regime of cleansing and fasting and herbs etc. and when ever i feel a little down i will grab a shot at a juice bar. but i also might go for an americano so go figure...

welcome to jobs cafe poetry night.
i will open this jobs cafe poetry night with a poem about words and where words can take us. i wrote this 14 years ago backpacking with my wife in bolivia.
off track
sometimes the sound of the wheels will lull your troubled mind you will drift off to sleep with the rhythm and rhyme
as you fall asleep, your old life drifts away but it doesn’t matter, you didn’t like it anyway the message of the wheels on the track is you can never go back, you can never go back
you awaken into a kaleidoscopic dream
outside the stars are shining bright polka dotted cows are dancing the la bomba in the luminous moonlight
you take a stroll to the back of the train someone takes your hand, you feel your heart flame flowers bloom and bees make honey when you are in love you don’t need money
you want to laugh, you want to cry you jump off the train and start to fly
once then twice around the moon far out into space, then back again you kiss your lover and think of no other you know you will never be the same
a poem shared is a poem lost but its worth a try at any cost sometimes the vision leaks out then others get to taste the trout
you can never go back, you can never go back the endless song of the train on the track
the train turns into a dark tunnel demons crawl from the cracks in the night sparks fly from the steel of the wheels hopes fade and fears burn bright
nothing is what it seems to be ghost of the past flicker in your eyes shadows play in the back of your mind you hear your own voice scream “I want to be alive”
sanity is a tricky thing you don’t know you’ve got a mind until you’ve lost it on the line
clickety clack, clickety clack you can never go back, you can never go back
you strain to see a light at the end of the tunnel but you can’t see a thing and you don’t hear a sound you feel weightless, mindless and a little afraid that the train has somehow broken down
then with a chug and lug you start moving again you wonder how you ever got onto this train
you work your way to the front engine you are surprised to see that no one is there so you slip on a pair of stripped overalls you pull the engineers cap over your hair
you put your hands on the brass levers the throttle moves forward with a little muscle the train lurches into another dimension your other hand gives a tug on the whistle
you rise into space along a cosmic track you don’t know where your going but you do know you can never go back, you can never go back
your lover joins you in the front of the train you let go of the controls and start kissing again rainbow comets fill the night sky the train now resembles a roller coaster spirals and loops, the horn goes toot toot, yahoo, how do you do you do, cocka cocka doodle do sometimes you need to write down a few things you want share what makes your heart sing sometimes that is silence between other sounds but that is something that is hard to write down
the mind likes to take control but if you try you can let it go the brain can be a happy thing if only it can learn to sing
take it for a ride on the track it will never ever want to go back
sanity is a tricky thing you don’t know you’ve got a mind until you have lost it on the line
clickety clack, clickety clack you can never go back, you can never go back

we have a special guest tonight. LEONARD COHEN www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LHtII3G3gU "Anthem" The birds they sang at the break of day Start again I heard them say Don't dwell on what has passed away or what is yet to be. Ah the wars they will be fought again The holy dove She will be caught again bought and sold and bought again the dove is never free. Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack in everything That's how the light gets in. We asked for signs the signs were sent: the birth betrayed the marriage spent Yeah the widowhood of every government -- signs for all to see. I can't run no more with that lawless crowd while the killers in high places say their prayers out loud. But they've summoned, they've summoned up a thundercloud and they're going to hear from me. Ring the bells that still can ring ... You can add up the parts but you won't have the sum You can strike up the march, on your little broken drum. Every heart, every heart to love will come but like a refugee. Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in. Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in. That's how the light gets in. That's how the light gets in. bonus song - hallelujah! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia_VR-Yycm0&feature=related

You are a hoot. Love the pic in the cowboy hat and the claim of liking cake underneath. lol. Very glad less problems. Hope you are closing in on your recovery. In Light Lynn Thank's Lynn,,,,, I try to add as much humor as I can too this nightmare condition.. I hope no one ever takes offense to my attempts to be funny about morgellons.. There's really nothing funny about it, but we are all going through so much because of it, that maybe a little chuckle every now and then, is the best medicine available to us at this time.. I like cake!! Yep,, i'm a big Jack O'Neil fan (Star-Gate SG-1) with me and Jack,, cake is his answer to everything!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Thank you,, yes, I do have a lot less problems than most other morgy's have to deal with,, because I have a really good morgellons doctor.. I wish everyone could find proper medical attention, but sadly most have not been able too.. Through treatment, my doctor has been able to ease a lot of my physical symptoms, and slow the progression of this crazy condition,, but until a more effective treatment can be found, I fear that there is no real recovery from morgellons (after having had it for a couple years or so),, only long term treatment.. That I am "SOOOOOOO GRATEFUL" to be getting.. The saddest part about morgellons is, you have to have it for a couple of years before it becomes obvious that you do have it "in laboratory testing" and by that time there is little or nothing that can be done to stop it.. I hope that changes in the near future. Maybe one day soon doctors will begin treating it "at it's onset stage" and be able to cure the condition before it gets a foot hold.
