About a week ago I got 3 very tender bump/lumps on my scalp. At times my whole scalp would itch to the point of tears but fortunately only lasted for 5 min or so.
Well last night when I was rinsing my hair my scalp felt cold - as if ice were held directly on scalp- but only where 2 of the bumps were. My hair is now super short and I tousled/rubbed fingers through hair and hundreds (maybe thousands) teeny tiny hair shook out. 2 of the lumps were gone so it's reasonable to assume the hairs came from them.
Today the 3rd lump erupted but this time my hair was dry and I wasn't touching my head. The best way I can think to describe it is like I stomped on one of those big mushroom balls that you see under trees. The kind that when stomped on send a poof of powdery crap everywhere.
I recently (last 3 wks) started rubbing sandalwood oil over scalp and can't help but think it's the reason this happened. But maybe it's a coincidence. Has this happened to anyone and/or has anyone used sandalwood on skin? Oh a few nights I add carrot oil too. I've been using it on face too and it's without question doing wonders for my skin.

Oh my kiki... that must've been a bit scary eh? I've not had that happen to me, altho I often see hundreds of those tiny fibers poof out of me and other things, but from where they come I just don't know. In the beginning of this mess, I had a bunch of specs I'd put on a piece of paper that came out of my hair. I was using a jewelers loop back then and left it sitting on top of one of them when tons of white cottony specs suddenly expoded out of the thing. Saw the same thing happen on my steering wheel once too. So yeah... they explode out of the pods, but what they are and why who knows? Maybe it's a good thing they were released, maybe not. But I say the more that comes out of you, the better... and it's good those lumps disappeared in doing so. Hope it stops for you... I'm praying that it does!
big hugs ~~ bannanny

It sounds like better out than in and if they wanted out because of the oil, I would sure keep using it. I would bet in the long run you will feel better. The scalp is a point of letting out poisons, I read once. I would consider it a good thing though. Have not experienced anything like that other than a hatch of flies of a sort. You would not want that, for sure. Best, 22122

I have had this happen many times over the years with this crap. I personally don't think that it has anything to do with the sandalwood specifically, but with the introduction of oil regularly to the scalp. It gets worse before it gets better, I know that for sure. Every time that I bring oils into the mix when it comes to my scalp, strange things are afoot and about to happen! I wish you the best of luck with this, and of course I have to add in my old school but tried and true DeSolve It. Try using that off and on with the oils on your scalp... Good luck and keep on truckin! Guns up. Jess

Hi Kiki, yes, I understand what you're talking about. When I first became evident, my scalp had sores that wouldn't heal, had grainy, sand-like material coming out of them and then started massively erupting - I related to it as if I was a mushroom shooting spores. These were very potent spores, wherever they landed on my body - they would try to grow another 'mushroom' and this is how my ear became so involved, I could not prevent them from taking over my ear. My head sores eventually went away after a year, but my ear keeps on 'sporing'... Don't tell me this could happen again from my head? ... I thought this was just a one-time wonderful manifestation of this disease? - that was horrible enough to live one time!

God I hope not! I couldn't survive another period of time like that again either!
