For whatever it's worth, my opinion of Dr. James Matthews is way up there.
We email fairly frequently and have spoken on the phone once or twice. (NO charge to me for that, by the way)
I've found him to be very caring and Bannanny, I do hope you will see him. Sue thought the world of him and I know he helped improve her quality of life. To what extent I don't know, but Sue absolutely loved Dr. Matthews, so don't pass up an opportunity.
Thank you, Tom, for making this possible for Robin. Big Hug!

The doc and I have shared some emails now Sid, and maybe I will do this... I just hate not having the money right now. Tom's already done more than enough to help me make the trip to St. Croix. I know you can understand why it bothers me. But we'll see... I'll be in Maryland on Wednesday and we don't leave for the island til Friday, so maybe Thursday we'll at least stop by so I can introduce myself to the good doctor.
He's still in Maryland CB... Tom lives in Gaithersburg and he said he's only 10 minutes from his house. He did help our Suebe and he's helped another woman who you can read about at the links above. He's still new to this disease but he really wants to help... and that in itself means more than anything!
love ya's ~~ bannanny

Dr Matthews treated me for about 2 yrs. With conventional medicine. I slowly went natural which he encouraged. He is a good man and a fine doctor. And he was very friendly and caring. He isnt afraid. If anybody has the forthought to help you bannany it would be him.
This is my opinion and I stand by it.

Thanks guys... and I've decided to go in and see him. Got talked into it! Anyway, yes he's married and a new father too! He seems very happy and very understanding. So we'll see what he says... I sent him info and pics on the goo that oozes from me and he seems very interested in that too.
I'm curious why you said what you said vi... can you elaborate on it a little? I know Sue used to tell me about him and really came to admire him. He helped her, so maybe he can help me and you too!

Nanners, he used to sell that silver stuff and I don't know if he is still into it but many swear by the stuff. Personally, I don't like collodial silver but that just me. We all must find what works for us. Dr. Matthews will definetly help you. However, I never put all my eggs in one basket. Guess that's why I am still single. hahahaha! Love ya and have a GREAT GREAT TIME.
Tell Dr. Matthews Debbie from Chicago say's hi!.

Dr. Mattews has some web sites up now, Bannanny posted them so you can see what he is doing now as far as the Morgellons goes. Sue was one of his first morgs patients, I remember the first day walking out of his office and seeing the relief and happiness on her face that a Dr. believed in morgs and had already been looking into it. That in itself sold us on the good Dr., yes he was new to the morg stuff, yes he started and stopped several different protocols, as he got results back and was not happy with the regime. It was trial and error and he admitted it.Some stuff worked and worked well enough to give relief and others were of no use at all. Point here being if you live anywhere near MD then this is a Dr. who you can get Meds from. some of you have Dr.s in your area and some dont so knowing where the Drs are that treat morgellons is a good thing to pass around. And if anyone wants to visit the Dr. well you have a place to stay while your here, anyone anytime can stay here, at the house if that helps your traveling costs. Tom

Thanks Tom for the great message about Dr. Matthews. I agree that he is a good doctor and truly believes Morgellons exists(and not in our heads) You two have a great time for all of us. CB

Perhaps this is the controversy? from Dr. Matthews website, www.jamesmatthewsmd.com/These new observations suggested that in addition to bacteria and parasites, fungi were also likely involved. So short courses of antifungals were added to the regimen. The patients seemed to improve again, even more then before, however, there was still a trend of backsliding symptoms when the medications were stopped. So while some small progress had been made, something was still missing. Recognizing this, I was rather open to suggestions when I was approached by a person marketing a colloidal silver product with impressive photos of improvement in some patients. Initially, I thought this might be the missing piece of the puzzle and entered into negotiations for endorsing the product, however, upon discovering how politically incorrect unpatented products are, I cancelled his proposed agreement, however, my endorsement was still used. The agent cited a technical loophole where because I had submitted a cancellation of the contract electronically, and not by hard copy initially, he stated "we still have a contract" and posted my endorsement on the internet. At this time however, I wish to make clear that I'm not endorsing, and have never officially endorsed colloidal silver for the treatment of anything, and anyone caught using my name and credentials without my consent may be prosecutedend cut, I have to say Dr. Matthews stood up to the base . But what in the HECK is he trying to tell us HERE, www.jamesmatthewsmd.com/StartingBlog.html

Jen, Dr. Matthews used a statement from the MRF FAQ page and didn't differentiate it from the information and image below. BTW when following the video link it states "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim". Dr. Matthews & webmaster needs to brush up on copyright laws. JJ
