A few days ago my throat started to feel irritated. Then I started to feel a lot of liquid going down my throat. Also felt zonked & exhausted. I started to gurgle when I was breathing I started trying to cough the irritation up. What I was coughing up was bright yellow, also bright yellow nasal discharge The third day i was in bed I become so winded I could not roll over without gasping for air, Impossible to even get up to go to the bath room so made do with a "chamber pot"
Finally called 911 and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. They thought at first I was having a heart attack, my blood pressure had risen to 200 over 120, and I was gasping for air, I received oxygen nitroglycerin & aspirin in the ambulance. At the hospital I was x-rayed for pneumonia, ultrasound check of my legs for blood clots, numerous blood draws and urine samples taken for various tests. Told every doctor (and there were plenty as this was a teaching facility)_ that I had Chronic Lyme,CHF, NHL and Morgellons Disease. Well, at least those doctors learned something. When I mentioned Morgellons they all went Huh? Never heard of it... how do you spell it. One doctor I mentioned it too then came back later and asked me if I had feelings of movement under the skin. Most of the doctors asked to see the lesions.
When asked to explain what Morgellons was I said it had to do with skin fibers but it was complicated and referred them to a couple of places to look it up. I was wise not to try to explain it as the one doctor who asked what kind of fibers started to get that all to familiar attitude when I started to answer his question.
I shut up fast as soon as I sensed the the attitude change.
Anyway, there are 20 doctors who never heard of our disease who now know something about it.
This is the second time in about a year I have had emergency hospitalization due to shortness of breath. Both times My blood pressure was way higher than normal. Neither time have the doctors come up with a really good explanation for why it happened They think the infection aggravated my asthma (this shortness of breath I was having didn't seem like the typical occasional mild asthma attacks I have and was far from being a completely satisfactory explanation to me.
Now for why I desperately need your prayers. I have a companion dog, Darcy who I love with all my heart, he has been by my side day and night and is totally devoted to me. I honestly would rather have couple of toes chopped off than to be deprived of Darcy.
The last night I was in the hospital I woke up in the morning having a very bad dream that darcy was lost. I called home only to find out that he had run out the front door around 7:am..(because my son who is schizophrenic thought he heard someone breaking into the house so dialed 911, when the police came the dog ran out and the officers would not allow him to retrieve the dog. I requested to leave the hospital early to find Darcy. Darcy is still missing. I have put up lots of flyers, called animal control repeatedly, but no Darcy. I am heartbroken.
Those of you that believe in the power of pray, I am asking for special prayers that Darcy will be found.

Glennb,
I'm so sorry to hear of everything that's happened. Thank God you're okay now and back home. And your loving Darcy, she must have been frightened knowing you weren't there, and went looking for you. I'm sure praying for you in every way, hoping you keep feeling better and stronger, and Darcy has the thoughts from you that you're home now, and comes home to you right away.

Dear Glenn, So sorry to hear about your recent trauma, I hope it has been resolved to your satisfaction. Many doctors have absolutely NO CLUE as to what Morgellons is, so they look it up on the CDC and voila! More misinformation to deal with. Thanks for setting them straight, at least a handful of them might check into it further? I am so very sorry to hear about Darcy, but she will return have no doubt! She loves you very much and most likely was out looking for you. She will return...she will find your scent, take a walk around where you live, she will pick it up and come back home. Leave some food outside for her too, she will return to where she was loved and comforted. I will pray for the safe return of your beloved Darcy. Love and Blessings for Darcy's safe return, CTBarb

Oh glenn... my heart hurts so much for you I can't stand it.
Father God, we're all asking that you return Glenn's beloved Darcy to him. You know how our animals give us strength and comfort and their love is what helps us get thru these most difficult times. But it's Your love that truly comforts us... so please Lord... comfort glenn's heart now with Darcy's return. He needs his precious dog... and he needs You. In the name of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit... Amen.
He'll come back or be found glenn... just believe my friend.
I love you ~~ bannanny

I am so happy and relieved to tell you that Darcy is back. I stayed up all night in my office with the garge door partially open, in case Darcy came home. Around 6:30 am I saw a woman's feet go up the front stairs ( I have a limited view through my office window.) I went over to the window to call up the front stairs to see who it was and all of a sudden there was Darcy right in my face! The woman lived up the street and had seen Darcy wandering around and had taken him in because of all the commotion going on in front of my house (8 squad cars, police officers with guns drawn, a whole other story based on my son's 911 call. I think darcy originally ran out the door because he was freaked out.
Anyway, I m glad I was in my office as I never would have heard her knock if I had been asleep in my bedroom,
Darcy is currently asleep under my desk. I attribute his quick & safe return to prayer. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I don't think this would have turned out so well without the prayers.
Now, if you are interested the 911 story. My off spring who made the 911 call hung up the phone as soon as the call was made thinking because. the call didn't get answered the cops would not show up. (Said he changed his mind about calling right after he dialed the number, when telling me the story later he seemed confused about the time he had called telling me he had called the evening before and the police didn't show up until 6 hours later. Barricaded in his bed room for safety he went back to sleep.
The police did show up.
I have a very nice college student renting the front room who was unaware a 911 call had been made. When the police came he was the one who went to the door. He told the police he couldn't let them in because he was not the owner of the house. The police forced their way into the house picked him up and threw him against the wall head first, pulled out their guns and told him to get his hands up. Then they cuffed him very tightly, bending his fingers back in the process (two of his fingers are still numb) and hustled him out to one of the 4 squad cars that had arrived.
The police apparently were making a lot of noise in the house, they kicked in a locked bath room door, things were damaged in my room..I have an inlaw unit downstairs. The woman living there is a blessing to have as a renter perfectly charming, pays on time, very responsible and personable.
She and her boyfriend were sound asleep when they were awakened by the ruckus going on upstairs. She said it sounded like bodies and furniture were being tossed around. All she heard was "get your hands up".
My tenant was terrified as she thought there was a home invasion robbery in process up stairs (there have been a few of these in the area recently) so SHE calls 911.
She and her boyfriend are hiding in the bathroom, on the phone with the 911 operator when they hear the garage door opening. They are sure they are about to be robbed or killed. Without bothering to knock or identify themselves 8 policemen with guns drawn kicked open my tenants front door. Dragging her and her boyfriend (who is recovering from a recent auto accident) into the garage then forcing them to lay face down on the freezing cold garage floor.
I have made 911 calls before and stayed on the phone with the 911 operator who has always informed me when the police were pulling up in front of the house. The police have always knocked loudly on the door and yelled out police before coming in but in the case with my tenant the 911 operator did not tell her the police were already there or that the extra police her call had engendered were also pulling up in front, and to expect them coming in, Also there was no communication to the police that she and her boyfriend were the ones calling for help and that they were hiding in the bath room.
Now there are 8 squad cars with lights flashing parked in front of my house.
All this was happening while I was still at the hospital.
My tenant & her friend were kept hand cuffed laying on the garage floor for nearly an hour.
My son was not allowed to stop or retrieve Darcy when he ran out the door. And none of the numerous policemen who were there attempt to retrieve the dog.
The upstairs renter was kept tightly handcuffed in the squad car for nearly an hour. When I returned from the hospital the first thing I noticed was the goose egg on his forehead. I also noticed he was having more trouble walking (he has a disability that makes it difficult for him to walk).
And it is going to cost nearly 800.00 to replace the splintered doors & broken door hardware.
That all of this happened based on a 911 call is amazing to me. It is obvious that proper procedure was not followed.
It is well known to the police at the neighborhood station that a young adult with psychological problems (a known 5150) lives at this address. Since there were no perpetators to terrorize the residents of my home were terrorized. I am amazed it took them 2 hours to figure out that no one in the house was in danger or presented a danger in any way.
I am wondering what the heck my neighbors must think.
One day I have an ambulance and a firetruck show up with sirens wailing & lights flashing. The next day I have eight squad cars with lights flashing and more sirens wailing pull up in front of my house and at least 8 cops running around with guns drawn.
The neighbors must think this is the most happening house on the block!
DAM!
The cops were at my house for almost two hours.

Not that I am not grateful for the police. They have helped me on many occassions in the past get my son to the hospital for treatment when he having an episode and I could not coax him into going.
However what happened with the 911 call.....jeesh!

YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! I knew he'd come home glenn... oh I'm soooo happy your Darcy boy's home with you again! Glad you're back home too my friend.
Now as for your 911 episode... I think you should send the whole scenario to Lifetime or some network that does real life movies and get yourself a contract! Sounds like a pretty incredible story to me and like something I'd watch on tv!! Pooh on those cops tho... wonder if any of them are gettin THEIR butts kicked for what they did cuz that was downright awful!!
Hugs and kisses to you and Darcy ~~ bannanny

Oh Glen I would be quite heartsick if my doggy went a missin' so glad your sweet pup was safely returned. I know what you mean-they are so pure in their love and loyalty. My Barkley sleeps at my feets right now. He loves to chase raccoons, he weighs only 20 lbs. I worry he may corner a big coon someday! But truly what a perfect ending to a potentially tragic story!

Kammy I wasn't here so I don't know if any of the officers were particularly short. At least 8 of them were described as quite large by my tenant. She also noticed several of them were shaking they were so revved up by the situation. A couple of them appeared to be complete rookies and were being supervised by a couple of the older cops.
