I have noticed that since I first got this in 2000 that the past several years fibers from my scalp and body have changed quite a lot. I have a lot of them but the texture has changed from some that were even thicker than a human hair and quite wiry and motile. They are still filled w/movement but most are much, much finer than human hair. Has anyone else noticed the same thing.

I think so... I mean my hair isn't near as wirey as it used to be. It's growing really fast too and it's actually pretty soft now... but I still have a ton of movement and electrical sensations in my head. I even feel globs of something moving thru my hair at times... and can feel them real well when I'm shampooing it. But once the conditioner goes on, the hard globs go away. That is until I comb it out afterwards... then I feel them all over again until my hair dries. Then again... it becomes as soft as silk. Lately tho I've been getting this very intense sensation in my scalp... it feels like someone's driving a sharp nail right into it. Hurts pretty good, but all I can do is wait for it to subside. I also notice that when I use a hair dryer, I end up with alot more movement afterwards too... so of course I always let it air dry now!

Same here Inez... I think it might be cuz the fiber strands are actually building more hair. Mine's alot thicker looking too than it used to be and even on the curly side now as to where it was always as straight as a board before morgs. Same thing with the color... I have alot of gold/red tones in mine now too. I also ditto what you said about your nails... mine are actually long now and grow as fast as my hair is. I took a pic with my scope once of my thumbnail cuz it was always so electrical feeling. You could see the verticle lines and ridges that had formed in it and even tiny fibers running right thru the nail itself. Here's the pic... But I started using a fungicide soap and even rubbed neosporin into my hands and nails... and also started getting manicures (something I'd never done before) and my nails are in much better shape now... toenails too! big hugs ~~ bannanny
