Hi ibzaph, after watching the video I went to her website to see her gallery and I must say that I've never seen such a young talented artist in my entire life! I'm truly impressed, she's absolutely amazing. Thank you for posting this.

We watched this artist on tv the other night - she is truly amazing what she does with sand art: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEgSoTCgvgA"A new sand art from Ilana Yahav for 2010 - "Our Man is sitting in his office, worn down by the weight of life in this hustling, bustling city... He dreams of the simple life and nature, peace and tranquility. One man's short dream and then . . . back to reality."

I've been watching the little girl on tv and she's truly blessed and gives me goose bumps too! I've also seen the sand art before and it's amazing as well. BUT... OH MY SWEET LORD!!! I couldn't believe the video of the elephant painting his own self portrait! That one brought tears to my eyes ibzahp... thank you so much for posting it for us!! Animals are so incredibly beautiful and have such deep souls... I wouldn't even know how to live without them!
big hugs ~~ bannanny

What bothers me is that the mentality of the 'powers that be', in that it appears that they have a mindset of... any science, art, music, great human achievement in any of these in the present and future is for naught unless... you're in their 'clic', or can be exploited for their gain. If you look at times in history of oppression of people and fascism, art ALWAYS suffers. Look at the time of socialism in Russia and the art that came from that period?... what little did come, was sad, meager and bleak. Look at the movies today and how actors trying to break into Hollywood, writing or the music business, the odds of an upcoming artist making it in today's times is minimized because of the one-sided, 6 string guitar system in place. Art, in itself, is not cherished for what it is, it is simply another avenue to exploit for the gain of others in control of the system. The sad truth - this little girl angel will eventually be approached and courted by the devil in order to be rich and famous - she has no choice but to play their game. The Arts must be oppressed because your art, which we all have the capability of producing, can be bartered for a living, even to the point of replacing cash. So, therefore, sadly - it must be curtailed and diminished in society and not given an easy value. So, let's celebrate it when we see God's talents, it represents the suppressed light in us all - support your local arts. I was looking for a couple of boy children guitarists who are up and coming that are very good and found this one, instead. It shows how we're being forced to live in a 6 string guitar world while man's capabilities are to be playing and listening to much more: www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2BOApUvFpw
