Hi ibzahp, I shaved my head in 2005 & it wasn't easy. I wouldn't recommend you do it. Love - itchin

Well, becuz I've lost my hair due to this mess 3 times... I did have to shave the remainder off once. It actually felt pretty good for about a month. But then it was just as if I had hair again and could feel everything I felt before as if I hadn't shaved my head at all. It was one strange feeling! So for me... hair is better. At least it gives this stuff something to hide in! If not for that... it just crawls in and out of your bald scalp!

I also tried that - twice. I really thought it would help but it did not.

I get kind of scared when I wonder what my scalp even looks like. I have lots of fibers and stuff but no obvious lesions (for the last several years) I do get little ones sometimes. Mostly tiny ones, occasionally on my hands, thighs. Have had them in my mouth as well (larger) and in the past on my back. I have a lot of fatigue. My scalp drives me crazy

What I meant to say is with all the activity on my scalp I wonder how bad it would look. Guess I will not find out and remain curious. Thanks ladybug and everyone for sharing.

ibzahp - I found with all the activity & networks on my scalp, the remaining hair I had left at the time was extremely hard to shave in the areas that had the networks. Certain areas on my scalp were thick (hair) like a rug, it was horrid. I hope your scalp settles down for you.
Love - itchin

Please try the Sulfur8 shampoo from walgreens.com, unless you are allergic to sulfur. It does help reduce this mess. I bathe in it at least once a week.

Thanks itchin, really this stuff is the pits. By the way , I love your name and I too am itchin for answers. BB think I will try some of that shampoo, I actually have another shampoo from health food store that I haven't used for awhile. I have been using tresame's deep ceansing shampoo, thought it would strip this stuff off as it works for hair gel and products but its worse than useless for this. Other shampoos I have tried seem to have worked much better. I wonder what the last twelve years would have been like had I not contracted this mess. Thanks BB for suggesting this. I know sulpher soaps i have tried just on my skin have calmed down itching in the past.
