great article-now what can we do about it? i have a feeling its part of the secret thats causing us to be ill. I too feel it's part of the secret. Well if the powers that be stop treating this disease as a secret maybe we can all be tested & try to pick up the pieces of what is left of our lives & move on - one way to knock the DOP diagnosis on the head.

Wow...good article Itchin.
I can't help myself right now,
This Bt (bacillus thuringiensis) and Agrobacterium are what I've been screaming about from the get-go of what I've believed are the culprits.
And it all came together because of those "bees tested" if anyone remembers about those posts.
2 sets of bees in an experiement were done. One set was fed maize without Bt. The other with Bt in the maize.
Then....the Bt maize fed bees ALL died. Why?
Because even though they looked and acted fine... their bodies became an open door to the "fungus" that mites carry on them.
The non Bt fed bees body warded OFF the fungi that were on the mites that attacked them.
And...the "Bt" GMO fed bees ALL died because their bodies got infected with 5 different fungi that the mites had on their bodies.
It wasn't the mites that killed the bees...it was the all those different fungi that killed them.
Had the bees not been fed Bt in their GMO'ed food, their body would have fought off the fungi...as it normally would do.
The Bacillus Thuringiensis Bt......totally dropped their immunes, even though there was no sign of this happening.
The Bt "in us" *imho* too.....allows "everything we are exposed to to now enter our body"....without the ability to fight it off. That's what I've believed then...and still do. Just like the bees...and everything else that is becoming more suseptible to the environment.
And this Bt is "activated in insects by" an acidic stomach/gut.
That IS what makes this "kick into gear".
I believe that is why "when we become more acidic" because of the Bt present in our bodies....we then become more ill.

Bt (bacillus thuringiensis) is what is used (to kill pests) in genetic engineered crops.
It's activation is dependent on an insect chewing on a plant, and then the Bt is activated by the acid in the insects stomach.
Agrobacterium is used to "carry/vector" the Bt into EVERY single cell of every plant we eat. And it's all done at the DNA level.
Once a seed from a tomato plant is blasted with the Bt... every part of a grown tomato plant now carries "Agrobacterium, and Bt" in it's cells.
From the roots to the tomato.
And it's just not in tomatoes, it's in everything we eat practically.
Along with a list of fungal pathogens, and viral, and bacterial.
It's all about "killing insects" to stop them from chewing on roots or the fruits....but because of the use of Agrobacterium...DNA from any of these added pathogens can then attach to our gut bacteria.

Say no to GMO!
Good find and research; need more.
Strike 1 for Monsanto! They hold most of the GMO seed patents. Our government allowed this to happen. We are the lab rats for this nefarious money- making experiment.

I have such a notion in me to somehow be able to evacuate Monsanto's buildings and then blow the suckers right off the blocks they're constructed on. I wish I could just stop eating altogether too, cuz it seems to me GMO's are in everything we eat and even the ground we grow our foods in has now been compromised. I'm in no way a suicidal peson anymore... but I sure am lookin forward to Heaven.

Mystery Science: More Details on the Strange Organism That Could Destroy MonsantoBy Melanie Warner www.bnet.com/blog/food-industry/mystery-science-more-details-on-the-strange-organism-that-could-destroy-monsanto/3052Back in January, a noted plant scientist who spent much of his career at Purdue University sent a letter to the USDA informing the agency that he’d discovered a mysterious new disease-causing organism in Monsanto’s (MON) genetically engineered Roundup Ready corn and soybeans. Now, that scientist — Don Huber — has written a follow-up letter to the USDA and appears in a videotaped interview where he presents an even scarier picture of the damage he claims Monsanto’s herbicide chemical glyphosate (the main ingredient in Roundup) is doing to both plants and the animals who eat them. In the 20-minute interview, which was conducted by Food Democracy Now’s Dave Murphy, Huber makes a strong case for his own credibility, appearing as a droll, erudite Midwestern scientist with deep connections to corn and soybean growers and livestock farmers. Although Huber’s findings have not yet been verified by outside scientists or published in a peer reviewed journal, the severity of his claims is such that the USDA ought to give them immediate attention. It’s not the genes, it’s the herbicide Huber’s issue is not with genetic engineering per se, but with the huge amounts of glyphosate (185 million pounds in 2007) in herbicide now used on America’s farms. Use of glyphosate has soared thanks to widespread use of Monsanto’s soy and corn seeds, which are genetically modified to survive its effects. The problem with glyphosate, Huber says, is that it effectively “gives a plant AIDS,” weakening its defenses and making it more susceptible to pathogens, such as the one his team discovered. The scientists have taken to calling the bug “the electron microscope (EM) organism,” since it can only be seen with an electron microscope.A big part of the problem, Huber says, lies with the way glyphosate prevents plants from absorbing vital nutrients, particularly the mineral manganese. In the Food Democracy interview, Huber says some studies have shown that Roundup Ready soybeans and corn have up to 50% less manganese than conventional varieties. Huber claims that the double whammy of weakened defenses and the new EM organism have contributed to “unexplained epidemics” of disease on farms — sudden death syndrome of soybean crops and Goss’ wilt on corn. Huber says the same thing has happened in animals. He’s heard from cattle farmers who are struggling because they’re experiencing a 15% infertility rate and 35% rate of spontaneous abortions among their herds. When the farmers switch to non-GE soy and corn for feed, the problems decline dramatically. Huber has talked to other animal vets who’ve experienced high death rates and have found that their GE-fed animals are severely deficient in manganese. And whenever Huber has worked with vets to analyze tissue samples from GE-fed animals that were inexplicably sick or had fertility problems, the tests always come back positive for the EM organism. It’s anecdotal, not data — but it’s still scary Of course, all this is merely anecdotal. Whether it can be scientifically proven that farm animals are suffering because they’re eating Roundup Ready soy and corn is another story. But since GE food crops are such a fundamentally new part of agriculture (first planted in 1996) and Huber’s account — if accurate — spells disaster for American agriculture, it’s worth finding out what’s going on before allowing more of Monsanto’s RR crops onto the market. But that’s not what the USDA did. A week and a half after Huber had his letter hand delivered to secretary Tom Vilsack, the agency gave the greenlight for Roundup Ready alfalfa. Huber was deeply disappointed: I would have hoped that there would have been a delay and the resources allocated to answer the questions, to verify that we’re not going to further increase the severity of this organism…. Can we afford to just open the floodgates wide open before we have the answers. What’s the urgency?

Here is a link to The Complete text of Dr. Don M. Huber's Letter to USDA Secretary Vilsak es-la.facebook.com/notes/wood-prairie-farm/the-complete-text-of-dr-don-m-hubers-letter-to-usda-secretary-vilsak/197340006962367and a summary of that letter.... In summary, because of the high titer of this new animal pathogen in Roundup Ready crops, and its association with plant and animal diseases that are reaching epidemic proportions, we request USDA’s participation in a multi-agency investigation, and an immediate moratorium on the deregulation of RR crops until the causal/predisposing relationship with glyphosate and/or RR plants can be ruled out as a threat to crop and animal production and human health. It is urgent to examine whether the side-effects of glyphosate use may have facilitated the growth of this pathogen, or allowed it to cause greater harm to weakened plant and animal hosts. It is well-documented that glyphosate promotes soil pathogens and is already implicated with the increase of more than 40 plant diseases; it dismantles plant defenses by chelating vital nutrients; and it reduces the bioavailability of nutrients in feed, which in turn can cause animal disorders. To properly evaluate these factors, we request access to the relevant USDA data. I have studied plant pathogens for more than 50 years. We are now seeing an unprecedented trend of increasing plant and animal diseases and disorders. This pathogen may be instrumental to understanding and solving this problem. It deserves immediate attention with significant resources to avoid a general collapse of our critical agricultural infrastructure. Sincerely, COL (Ret.) Don M. Huber Emeritus Professor, Purdue University APS Coordinator, USDA National Plant Disease Recovery System (NPDRS)

Great article.
And I agree with you Toni, I think this GMO food is bad news for us.
I say no BlueSkies as much as possible. It's hard to get all organic foods but am doing so more and more these days.
Free range, organic grass fed and finished when eating meat and chicken is so damn expensive...

It's hard to get all organic foods but am doing so more and more these days. Free range, organic grass fed and finished when eating meat and chicken is so damn expensive... Hi there, Carrie. I'm so sorry you are going through so much right now with your health. Good going on making appts. to see appropriate docs and also focusing on buying organic foods as much as possible. I try to do the same, but there is so much that has to be bought that is non-organic, isn't there. I've found that there are some stores where organic food can be bought for less than specialty health stores, like (I know a lot of you will shudder) Walmart's. They have Stonyfield Organic Milk for significantly less than the chain grocery stores. If you have a Wegman's grocery store anywhere near you, they are great at providing organic things like milk and kefir and meats and veggies and fruits and just about everything else for more reasonable prices than most grocery stores. I think they can charge less because of the extremely high volume they sell. And it's a nice experience shopping in their warm, friendly stores with very astute employees. Please take good care of yourself, Carrie, and know we care about you and are thinking about you (and praying for you, too.... ).
