I read this on the Morgellons General Conversation Page at Facebook today and wanted to share it with those of you who don't go there. Also wanted to ask if anyone's ever taken this medication before too...

Will all of you please listen to me? My Dr. has treat many, many with Morgellons and they are better. It is a virus, a Herpes Virus called Herpetic Dematitis. He treated me with Acyclovir (will be taking it for two years) and I was able ...to avoid what all you are going through. My sister wasn't so lucky. She eneded up with the fibers and little white worm like thing that over time grew a ball on one end. My doctor ordered a Herpes test for her and she was off the charts!!!! The guy who did her test said he travels all over Ga. handling the blood tests and said he had never had that one ordered in the five years he has been working with the diagnostics business. I have a friend who is an Infectious Disease Dr. and he had never heard of Herpetic Dermatitis. If not treated, fungus will grow in the soars on your body attracting the insects. Eventually the virus makes a by-product of all these wierd things coming out of your skin. I honestly think many start out with soars on the head because it is the most exposed part of the body insects can get to. Since my sister had it so bad, she is on 800mg of Acyclovir a day. Her sores are gone, she has her life back and all is good. He says like any other Hepes virus, we will always carry it in our body. The thing is to keep it in remission.
So what do you guys think? I wouldn't mind trying it myself... but I don't have a doc or insurance right now so I'm wondering if Acyclovir can be bought on the internet. I'll have a look see... course you can't ever be sure what you get on the internet, so I may just try to find a doc who'll give me the test (which may also be difficult.) But oh well... my head's flaring up again so I'm up for just about anything right now.
big hugs ~~ bannanny
