I can't believe it!! - we are actually going to hear about Morgellons on Australian Radio. 13 June 2011 The mystery of Morgellons Morgellons is the name given to a mysterious disease where patients experience alien fibres protruding from their skin. The mystery of the disease is matched only by the controversy surrounding it. The transcript of this program will be available by late afternoon on the Tuesday following Monday's broadcast. When Monday is a public holiday in NSW, the transcript will not appear until late Wednesday. www.abc.net.au/rn/healthreport/stories/2011/3239721.htm

Has anyone seen Dr. Oz last week. He showed and explained why not to microwave your food. It changes one molocule in the the food and then that change one molocule in the body. I remember a year ago seen a coledge study whare they took two identical plants and gave them the same potting soil, same water, same window for sun light and then one plant they boiled water and cooled it and gave that to one plant and the microwaved the water and cooled it for the other plant. The plant with the microwaved water died.

The guest speaker is Mark Davis from MAYO CLINIC. He thinks it's delusional since it is his name is on that MAYO CLINIC STUDY that has been all over the news. www.abc.net.au/rn/healthreport/stories/2011/3239721.htmGuests Professor Mark Davis Professor of Dermatology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA

Great horrible find Ginna, You know what I mean. Perhaps we can all be a bit preemptive and add a comment to the HealthReport site similar to the train of thought put forth here... namely that the Mayo study was slanted towards a conclusion of D.O.P. from the start. I think that may be a good idea. This is a link to the HealthReport site that lists info about Mark Davis and his credentials with the Mayo Clinic. www.abc.net.au/rn/healthreport/stories/2011/3239721.htmJust click on the Add Your Comment section though it is moderated and may be censored. Perhaps they will allow a well written comment that offers a well thought out critique of the Mayo study. Xib

Hi guys, They seem to have only just put that on the link - the guest speaker, that wasn't there the other night when I found the link. I just KNEW it! explains why I was so upset yesterday. Up early this morning running to the loo - anxiety, my 6th sense is spot on yet again! I'm not happy about this. My only hope (and I am tired of hoping) that Dr Norman Swan can nip this whole delusional idea in the bud. As for the patient guests - who are they? where are they from? I wrote to Dr Norman Swan years ago about Morgellons. Helloooo....is anyone listening? Thanks ginna for finding that. As for writing a comment I don't know what I would say. This whole thing just turns one inside out doesn't it? itchin

Y/W Itchin,
We can certainly hope for the best and that the news person doing the interview with Davis will be able to expose that whole Mayo Study for the FARCE that it is. Plain and STUPID with no "science" and it never should have been published or splattered all over the News Outlets as it was.
It did real damage to Morgellons people if their family members are dumb enough to believe what Davis and his "study" managed to publish.
It will be super to listen to Davis choke on his words and hopefully he will be asked very good specific questions which will cause him to choke on the very words he published and reveal the true A$$ he is to drag up OLD NEWS trying to cover up the very real disease morgellons is.
Saying a prayer so that the interviewer can outsmart Davis in this media interview.

Oh Boy-very sad and fed up to hear that this is that awful mark davis from the Mayo clininc. The hard rain sure has been falling on us lately. When is it going to let up? So wrong. I wish he would slip on a bananna peel and have a rude awakening to the reality of our situation. heres to a promise of a better future. Just kidding about the slip, but I do pray that he comes to see the error of his conclusions sooner rather than later. The clock is ticking and many years have passed. Love and Light ibzahp

Simone, Itchin and everyone else, I have also commented. I agree with you Simone, maybe if we all comment we can help shape this event. Even if it is just to bring a balanced perspective and to offer the two patient guests our support. I liked Toni's great post about how this study was culled from many possible patients to just the ones that had D.O.P. in their medical histories... cherry picked as it were, and that the study is unduly influencing doctors and the general public at large. All the facts that we had gleaned from the study that were not so evident when one reads the articles. This just may be another opportunity to get our stories heard. Maybe add links to positive stories (you know what I mean.... no M story is positive but some are more so than others) and other informative sites and links to the George Noory interview with Trish...etc. If we keep our comments level headed and informative perhaps they will be published. Good idea about posting now and then posting later too. xib Ditto guys, let's hope our posting prior to the show gives the ABC a heads up & yes posting after the show. Dr Norman SwanProducer and presenter of the Health Report, Dr Norman Swan, is a multi-award winning producer and broadcaster.
Dr Swan's career has been highlighted by his desire to keep the Australian public informed of health developments as they happen. This allows him to combine medical expertise with investigative reporting, clear analysis and the knowledge to report the latest research in health and medicine.
One of the first medically qualified journalists in Australia, Dr Swan is highly regarded by the medical and health professions.
A famous example of Dr Swan's work is his much publicised and controversial investigative program on scientific fraud and the well-known gynaecologist Dr William McBride. The program exposed fraudulent research, sending shock waves throughout the medical world and led to Dr William McBride being de-registered. It earned Dr Swan the 1988 Australian Writers' Guild Award for best documentary and a Gold Walkley.www.abc.net.au/rn/presenters/norman_swan/

Hey Itchin A good talk show isn't good without Controversy.. Hoping comments will pose questions to Mark Davis that the host might ask. No matter what... people are still getting this around the world. A talk show will not stop the spread right now. But people will be made aware of this. Even the word Morgellons mentioned. It may be a start to more info in your country. Hang in there itchin...We'll do whatever to help you.
