Sage, In the early stages of this problem. I went to a very good homeopath and requested that he order a parasite compound that I took once a day for six months along with a number of homeopathic remedies. My symptoms are minimal now. I have no brain fog and function normally for the most part. I had constant GI problems. The crawling sensations had been part of my life for so long that I perceived them as "normal". With treatment by the homeopath and some home remedies too, like bathing with white vinegar on a regular basis which I still do. Life has become more normal. I still take the homeopathic preparations, not about to change what is working so well. Dr. Amin may just have hit the nail on the head. I have had massive amounts of dental work over the years and the initial site of this problem surfaced just under my jaw and on my right cheek.

Hi Aware
I think Dr. Amin is wonderful. I talked with him the first year I was ill. Wish I could test his theory by getting the deep Mercury feelings out. I would love to count heads of those with fillings with this disease. The only thing that never jives with me and I know of one other person is that the bug feeling is coming off the floor and furniture, the bed sheets and crawling on the outside of the body till they find a spot they like and dig in. I do have nerve damage from this disease big time, but there are real bugs involved.
I just took a bug off my arm to the ag lab three days ago and waiting to see what it is. At the very beginning of the disease I could take all sorts of stages of bugs and my hubby got to see one playing down in a pore on my arm. We tried to tape him off so I could put him in a zip lock but the tape damaged the specimen and you could no longer tell he had been a happy little bug crawling around on my arm ducking down in pores. He looked just like a chigger. He was so cute. The front of him had a face that looked like a happy little man. My husband refused to believe it was a chigger because we live in central CA. even though he watched the critter along with me. This chigger like bug had to long legs and a bunch of short legs and gave the sensation a spider moving about, but could not be seen with the naked eye. We used a hand held magnifier that has X-5 enlargement. So all those years before the all over out break I had this kind of critter living on me and did not know it. I had wispy crawlers, hard bitters, bugs that stabbed like a big ole needle, and stingers, and fast butt runners. Over time as I got rid of each bug the hard stabbers disapeared at the same time as the wispy crawlers. So I believe they were the same bug. With the nerve damage I believe that made the hard stabbers hurt so badly. I believe sense they were on me for six years before the all over out break and I thought back then when once in a great while I would feel something like a spider on my head or skin there was never anything there and if it bit me it did not feel like a stab or at least I may have not remembered right and like everything else back then sloughed it off as something else.
The one bug I have left is the hooky crawler. It starts out like a worm crawling or swirling through the hair on privates and I can herd them to other areas when not able to kill them. It grows into a hooky crawler which stings like a Nat and the adult bites real hard. So there is my hard biter. When really infested it felt like different bugs when actually I probably had only 2 or 3 kinds at various stages.
I have noticed while the skin heals the ability to feel these bugs dulls. The hooky crawlers were so painful at the beginning of the all over outbreak. I had been taking a low dosage of blood pressure med and it made my skin ultra sensitive and a few weeks after I quit the med the hooky crawlers were not so painful. I wonder though if the skin was able to heal as I killed each bug. Less bugs digging in and causing pain. Also I never itched after the out break. I went through a ferocious head itch for a couple of month just before the all over out break and then no more itching. My nerve endings are not close to skin surface so I have a high thresh hole to pain. I can still feel all the stages of the hookey crawler, but the adults rarely visit anymore sense I am able to kill the first two stages with products which just keep getting better sense switching to the mustard. Darn finding the balance point of any product sure is annoying.
Well not sure why I rattled on so. Guess I just wish Dr. Amin realized there are real bugs involved. I tried over a week ago to get my mom to contact him sense she lives in AZ. and others try to convince her I am looney.

Justhanginin, It is quite possible that Amin might be somewhat correct with dental involvement making things worse however there is too much it does not explain...Like with the little kids who do not have mercury or any other fillings. The bilateral attacks. The animals. The big elephant in the living room who monitors sites such as this. sage

I'd had all my mercury fillings removed and replaced with white composite before my onset of Morgellons (just for asthetic reasons), and saw Amin also in 06. I asked him if he could check me too for parasites but he said there was no need to because critters would be attracted to me, because of my "infection". He said I just needed to "de-tox" my body as to clear any fungal infections - which I wasn't tested for either. I bought a few things from him, and later looked up the two products "he sold me" which was Mangosteen juice and the brand HEEL DeTox which he charged me 5 times what it normally costs (I found out later). So, after 500 and something bucks for that visit, I got Mangosteen juice, and HEEL Detox, which the HEEL Detox kits (anywhere) one can buy them are REALLY only 29.95. So my advice is, be careful or you'll spend lots of extra money on something that can be purchased for a whole lot less.

Hi Toni.
This was exactly what I meant earlier about the doctor. I know ( my experience with the dental materials) that he is right, but that he is making lots of money over sufferers misery. There is nothing wrong with making money, but not like this. Beside that, there have to be more causes. I think dental materials are just one of many. But......perhaps this news will have a snowball effect in the medical world. Let us hope so.
