remygarcia - greetings!
Is certain mold called toxic mold? does it have a scientific name? who tests for it?
In the past history of the forum, there were many many people who reported the molds were in the residence where they lived at the time they became ill.
We had terrible mold, I also helped tear out a lot of the old stuff and replace and Kilz everything. Anyone who has mold should at the very least go get a spray can of kilz and kill what you see under the sink. If biting insects crawl through it, sure as shootin' you get a taste of it when they bite.
I also think take all precautions of course when handling moldy substance at removal. Be extra safe, KILZ the mold days before and let dry, then do the removal.. I bet OSHA has some really good recommendations like respirators etc. for such activities. Hardware store might provide info readily.
Not me, I tore it out and then washed my hands, like an idiot. I figured I had already been around the stuff and it would wash off. Oh for the days of innocence.

Specuelatin: I save samples . . . yes, I confess. I'm a sample-saver. So, I probably have that sample (stran or lump, whatever it is.) I wonder if I get a better microscope if I could see more. Of course, the whole herxing episode was last July, so it's probably not the same.
I really wonder if it is some macro form of fungus gel stuff. That was from the worst "hot spot" of all.
But, today there was no itching, no "I know there is Something there" feeling on the scalp hot spots. I am almost tempted to believe that I am winning.
But, that's when it's probably going to pull the carpet out from under me.
This week, however, I will be getting the supplement Dr. Martin suggested, (EH 101 or is that EF 101? and now I see there is a good suggestion for the New Zealand organic cow bovine colustrum (sp?) - so why the heck not? Just throw that in to the "healthy supplement approach"
In lieu of spending money on a better microscope . . .
RemyGarcia - welcome! On the MOLD cause. We had mold in our house too - from a leaky sink and washing machine that we ignored for a couple of years. Just kept a bucket under the sink and mopped and left rugs near the washing machine. Meanwhile, mold was growing and we were breathing it. I'd say that mold exposure is a factor in dragging down the immune system.
After Hurricane Katrina, and all the clean up going on, I am worried for all the people who are exposed to mold. Plus, they have stress too. Their immune systems must be taking a beating.
Plus, if there is any validity to the bug-vectored disease theory, there are lots of bugs down that way too!
Bannanny: It will be good to hear from you. So . . . how's that anti-Candida diet going? good I hope ;D
It is good to see all the new people posting - I worry so much about the people who think they are alone and the only ones experiencing weird symptoms.

The gel on the hair roots is disappearing. Found one about a week ago. Found none this morning after checking known hot spots. Some dried residue and even the strange "clubbed" or bent hairs were straight or getting straight or simply hard to find.
The latest thing I've added into the "health" stuff is the A.C.E. drops that mixes into water. It adds minerals and takes a more cellular approach. (See S3 website or read up Dr. W. John Martin's research)
I continue to improve. For a more complete list of what I've been doing see the thread "Cycles - Am I getting better or is it Dormant?"
It is hard to point to any ONE thing that I can attribute improvement to because I've done such a scattergun approach to it.
Main thing, everytime you put something into your mouth you are taking an action that is either for or against your health.

PS: I know Dr. Martin would like to know what the A.C.E. effect is. It's hard to say. I don't know if what I am observing is objective or subjective. So, take the following with a grain of salt. I did feel a sense of energy and well-being when I started to take A.C.E.
I've been giving it to my husband - who can be a "bellowing" Italian stereotype when he's at home - and perhaps it's my imagination or hopefulness, but he seems to be more "settled" and rational - thinking before he talks.
The first night I had an intense nightmare, and in subsequent nights I have had intense regular dreams that seem to be very detailed and long-running. I hadn't been aware that my dreams were "plugged up." I do think that dreams serve a necessary biological and emotional function, so perhaps that means my brain is healing or that brain pathway connections or neural synapses are working better.
For the first time in months I am in the "mood" to plan and work - I feel motivated. I cannot attribute all this to one product, however. Perhaps it is one part of the entire healthy approach. Since this product provides minerals and most foods today don't, I don't think it unreasonable to give a nod to the value of A.C.E. in the road to health.
