The study shows that A. tumefaciens-induced crown galls are characterized by a sophisticated network of vascular tissues in the tumor and are accompanied by a perturbated vessel system in the host. Vascular Bundles are XylemXylem are the spirals that can be seen at 400X mag. cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=3652071

This is only an example (of celery xylem) they're the "spirals" for nutrients to the vascular plants. Agrobacterium (above post) seems to possess the same characteristics for feeding the crown galls (which are basically an infection of bacteria *agro* on the growth of plants).
