Well now..lets see how this game is played..
The aspartame suppresses the production of serotonin
that would normally be released into the blood after
eating carbohydrates..to signal to the brain that "we's full, y'all
can stop eating the sweet stuff now".
The "stop" button has been bypassed. Aspartame is ~200
times sweeter than sugar..is used in damn near all the
munchy store bought treats...and it shorts out the normal
satiety circuits. The more nutrasweet laced products you eat..
the more you want to eat.
The "synthetic sugar" may not have any calories, but everything
else in that package of "Superb Brownies" sure does.
But hey, you drink diet soda, so it will all even out for a weight
loss win.
..
pssst...dudes..maybe there is a hidden motive for ensuring
that the aspartame gets into THOUSANDS of processed foods..
and not just the "sweet stuff". It encourages overeating.
You tend not to feel full with a standard serving. Gotta' have
those second and third helpings. Darn if you don't feel
"full" even when your belly is stuffed solid with food.
[...and the "serves six people" food package is mysteriously
empty after your solo snack..odd how that happens to often]
...good thing we have a calorie free replacement for table sugar.
People would definitely be getting obese otherwise.
