....it's not enough to have sonar...you have to use it, guys.
millions of years of practice...and none of you are pinging the sea floor that's coming up to scratch yer bellies? [follow the leader is all good fun..up to a point.] Lesson learned: "don't follow Vernon, he's an IDIOT!"
going to be some wondrous tales passed around the dolphin gossip circuit...[not that the other dolphins will believe a bit of it..]

Sure is so sad. The poor birds mistake plastics for food and the pollution doesn't stop. habitatnews.nus.edu.sg/pdf/Plague%20of%20Plastic%20Chokes%20the%20Seas%20-%20Los%20Angeles%20Times.pdf www.pulitzer.org/archives/7135Hi Baraka - I'll reply in Red.What about the poor humans, they have the plastic PUT IN THEIR FOOD SO THEY MUST EAT IT. Yes, believe me, I feel sorry for everything, more than words can express, but.... below and (this isn't a joke)
But if : WE THE PEOPLE, don't stop this ...then not only do the birds suffer and die, so will we and everything else, the entire planet.
People underestimate themselves or they just don't give a hoot in my opinion, and I'll explain what I mean.
IF the "majority of the population" spoke up...and weren't so busy with their "affairs" - things really would change.
Here's the most recent perfect example of that:
Everyone "spoke up about the Pink Slime in the hamburger, that just about EVERY company in America uses"... and look how FAST that all came to a MAJOR halt.
That's what I mean.
Look at the BILLIONS they ALL lost out on. Why? Because WE THE PEOPLE were not going to tolerate nor accept it - and said so!
So, they had NOOOOOO choice. And... then it all changed. And look how fast it changed.
Most people underestimate the power in our numbers. The POWER of our voices (working together for the same cause).
If everyone stopped driving their cars for one or two days, gas prices would go down.
If we all stopped buying GM'ed foods, organic farming would take off like the best thing since the wheel and Monsanto and their GM'd seeds would have no use, as there'd be no money in it if we all stopped buying it.
We ARE in the drivers seat.
We are the consumer. If the manufacturer produces anything that NO ONE WILL purchase, they'll have no choice but to change it.
If we continue to turn our head, it will continue as it is.
The birds are victims of what people *keep allowing* - or actually what people choose to "not do", which is speak up and make things change.
Us people need to make the changes, and come together more often as many did with the Pink Slime hamburger, and that's how we make things change.
It happened, we all changed their protocol, and it didn't cost us one cent, it was our mouths speaking up and saying NO MORE, and our not purchasing garbage that FORCED them to do so.
Look at protests for anything, changes happened because those people did NOT settle.
But as long as people in the general public dont' have the time or don't care to join in to make changes, then we are sheeple for whatever the government dictates.
And right about now, those government officials can go jump in a lake, and the only reason they aren't is because we (everyone in the USA) keeps settling for less.We are being fed so many bad chemicals, trees, steroids, antibiotics, melted Chinese human hair in our bread AND the POISON PLASTIC (melamine) Yes, no differently than the Pink Slime in the hamburger that came to a screetching halt recently, ALL because we (the people) FINALLY got some cahuna's and spoke up!I will feel sorry for the animals when there is nothing left to eat but rotting humans, by then I guess it will be to late. I really do know what you mean Baraka, and I appreciate what you say too. I have to say, I feel more sorry for all of the human beings that have mouths to speak, and don't. Because we are the caretakers of Earth and we're not taking care. Until we break out of the follow the leader syndrome, even when following the leader we see will be our demise, because we DO see it coming, well....we've just got to be more vocal, I don't mean 'just us here on the board"....I mean the general public needs to wake up and get the lead out, because it's all of them too that are affected, and they want to pretend it's someone else's problem.
No...it's not their problem, it's ALL of our problem, and we can do it, look at the pink slime as the most recent WIN and how (people's voice really does move mountains) senario.
It's real, and it happened, all because of the human mouth.

I threw in the "Act of Kindness" video to balance the scales so to speak. Everything seems so bad these days that not even I can believe it. Also, not wanting to bring others down, that despite us having to witness this train wreck and no one helping - we can still see good in others.
We all have a responsibility to Mother Earth and I do wonder why our local media in AU are not telling us. Maybe they don't want to hear that they too are eating plastic, human hair and man made organisms are starting a new life right there in their very own gut!
