Dear Friends,
It is with deep sadness to tell you that my defacto Tony died suddenly this week. He went to bed Tuesday night and never woke up. I was notified by the Police Thursday morning who informed me it was believed Tony died of a heart attack in his sleep.
As you know Tony & I had seperated August last year due to the strain on our relationship. Tony, William and myself all made contact earlier this year. We were all on amicable terms, had met for lunch on a couple of occasions, Will and I had taken food, home made biscuits & vitamins to the rooming house for Tony, where he had been living since October.
Tony had to be taken to the Melbourne Coroner's Court with his death being sudden where a post mortem will be performed to determine the cause of death.
On a personal note, my friends, I am feeling consumed in a prison of grief. Tony's family have denied William and myself to say our "goodbyes" to Tony not allowing us private viewing. Tony had been estranged from his blood brother and two adopted sisters for 4 years, last seeing them in September 2009 at a family wedding. Tony & William last saw Tony's parents December 2011. Tony had been cut off by his family, not even a roof over his head was given during our very turbulent time last year.
For Legal reasons I am unable to comment further and should I wish to pursue my right and William's right to say goodbye to Tony in death I must write to the Coroner by Monday, however the family can still say no.
Thank you
