Its hard to stay positive when so many of you have been let down. Glenn B, I am not sure what your experiences are with doctors, but I want to beleive like a lot on this thread do, that you found a good doctor.... I wonder why a phone interview, and why they don't want to actually view what you are going through, but maybe that will be the next step.... (Maybe it is just the Lyme they are interested in) There is only one way to find out & thats to go ahead & make the call.
Do you beleive in your doctor, did he seem caring & concerned....
Let us know how things go........ take care & wishing you well....... ps.... JJ..............Wishing those Tornadoes away ........ stay safe.....

An alert was issued that phsyicians treating suspected Morgellons patients (usuing practically word for word the MRF case definition) are to report it to their local and State Health Dept. and the Health Dept. on to the CDC, so the CDC could begin to log patients and get a count. Ridgewalker, are you saying they said they sent out an alert to all the physicians in this country? I'm not holding my breath but I sure hope they were straight with you. Thanks!

GlennB:
FYI - When my doc who is actually also a relatively good friend finally believed that I may actually have this disease, he started looking into it a bit more than he had previously (originally thought I was off my rocker until he started connecting the dots). He actually said to me "you may actually be right about this, and if so, you will have taught me something." He went to the internet and tried to find out more info for doctors, when he tried to find out the treatment plan for a patient, the directions were "contact the Public Health Department immediately". He read this to me as I sat across from him in his office. This of course confused him a bit - but scared me. I don't want to be tagged by any agency for having a disease that #1 the government won't recognize nor research and #2 if this is contagious, as I fully believe as it has now infected everyone in my house including my three westies, I am afraid, like others, that we will end up being quarantined until they (government) figure out what the hell they are going to do about it. We as a group, all have our plates full with living day to day as it is, we don't need any additional fear/concern added to the mix. Please let us know how the "interview" goes. Thanks - and Good Luck.

Snowflake...that is very interesting information. What did your doctor have to say about this?
I think this is what Brian...BKS27 is into right now right...after being contacted by the health department. Wonder where he is...I'm gonna have to go knocking on his door. I know there is something going on for him right now...but don't know all the specifics.
They can't lock us up...quarintine...there are too many of us! RIGHT!? Don't you think? Please say yes. And then there are all the many that have it that don't even know it. Na...there is just no way.
I called my local health department several times when I was first infected telling them that my family was giving this horrid disease to people. Bastards, they basically said how could I give them a disease I don't have. I even tried as recently as like November '05. Maybe I should call them again and see what kind of response I'd get huh!? I want to know what they are up to.
