Disarm your fingers of mass destruction. For all you pickers out there - try this, your face will thank you -- put a band-aid over the top of each of your fingers and thumbs. Every and all day. Love, Greta

OR use medical tape to pull the stuff off you. That's how I stopped picking, I just got some medical tape and stuck it to where I was itching, pulled it off and then WOW! You'll be amazed at what you pull off your skin. If you have a microscope, check it out.

That's excellent advice. When I'm able to leave my boo-boos alone long enough, my skin usually regains some semblance of "normalcy", ie like I just have acne instead of leprosy. And when I look more "normal" I feel and act more normal. (Funny--I never thought I'd aspire to being "normal"!) Thank you. Love, Ladybug

I've been though many rolls of tape. Yes it is amazing, but damn it, just try to leave your skin alone!

This is what makes me made when poeple accuse me of picking. I am not picking I am gently squeezing a lesion until a fiber rockets out....ITs like having glass in the skin...Over the year I realize that is about all I can do..I stopped trying to get all the fibers out cause its just too damaging to the skin...So for now just a little squeeze and pop.Im learning this stuff is just too deep..but at least I know my body is working.. the festering means it now can identify fast the location of the fibers and mounts a attack..I am doing much much better with no drugs..Maybe some day I can win on my own and be the one the model the new morgellons drug off of..!!

Hey - I did not accuse anyone of picking. A little defensive Jeff? I never really picked at my skin either - just pulled the fibers and/or occasionally gently squeezed the cysts harboring them. I thought it was glass in my skin, just so happened I did have glass in my skin too. Let them alone, they will come out on their own. My purpose in advising this is to allow your skin heal and deal in its own course.

I picked...all damn day!!! It's been two solid years and have a hard time removing the crap with out doing it myself. The more removed it is, the less deeper the lesions. Now I don't get lesions but still have skin issues. The stuff has to be removed...it's too big for the immune response to remove. If it's ever gonna exfoliate, it sure is taking a long time, or else it was so thick and it was just too deep to be all the way gone yet. I'm certain that I'm dealing with what happened two years ago...whatever exactly happened isn't happening anymore...it's the after effects that I find myself still dealing with to this very day.

They don't go away on there own. They go deep then. May heal on top, but it's still under there. Only taking out the fibers will not get rid of the parasites that are surrounding it's edges or down deeper. They are then inside the muscle and all tissue surrounding the area. You must also try to remove film, webbing, and all those hairs that come out. If the hair is coming out on face, they are under the skin and will not itch. But they are there. Even the one bad one I had on leg, a hole eating one that had the gel stuff in it. Thought I had it all out after it even bled real bad. Covered it and yes it healed. But it is now in the muscle of my calve behind where the sore was> So don't think they are gone when you have no sores or itches. That's where am at. But they are still in my tissue inside. I got this one new anti. today. It seems to be working on this. I'll let you guys know if it does. Plus I found a real strong vitamin that hasn't been used yet. It should be here soon, I'll let you know if it does anything. Keep using the Dr.Bonners peppermint in shower, it helps with the slime. Drugstore.com also has it in bar soap form. They also don't like Dial soap and alerest allergy tabs. Not much else effects them. But hoping some of this new stuff might. I am always searching and trying stuff on this. So far today I feel really good. I'll let you know in a couple of days if any of it works.

I have to remind y'all that my lesion healing only happened in conjunction with the antibiotics and ketoconazole cream, and even more so with the disarming of the fingers.

Greta, you are so right! Plus finger tips are infected also and you just re-infect yourself if you keep it up! Use only tweezers and nothing else. Or use the straight razor edge tip ones, needle nose ones are good. But alsways put them in the dishwasher , as all your brushes, toothbrushes to keep them very clean. Mine has a sanitise cycle I use. Never let anyone use your things. The fingers are hard to get cleared up, but you will get there. Use gloves every chance that you can. We touch so many things during the day. Put straight pinesol on everything else like door knobs, light switches, handles on cabinets, washer and dryer. It really helps. The dial foaming hand wash is one of the best to keep at sink. It has helped my fingers alot. Any sores put the most drying agent you can use and cover it real tight. Leave it on for a few days if you can. Then pump up vitamins only that heal the skin or skin infections. Your immune gets better and the sores will heal in no time flat. Do blood cleaners and bone healers. This is what is the most effective on this. As some of the other stuff may just feed them, instead of hurting them.

Ya' Carrie simple things are my saving grace most of all sesame street" and for sure I don't know what I would of done without Elmo's world to help me take my mind off of my world The best thing about it is that I have learned to count Putting my two cents into this conversation I didn't have any leasions the first four years or so outside of the odd zit or two here or there but I did have thickened skin i believe that the thickened skin to be a product of your skin being honeycombed with parasites and those places (probably more than one) are the axises of evil where everything emanates from a rattle snake nest if you will I have found that attacking these spots first and for most with deep tissue bug smishing massage helpful in breaking up this honeycomb matrix and the result for me at least is less thickened skin Now for the leasion issue I believe for the most part that leasions although ugly are not necessarily a bad thing it is a good sign that your immune system is trying to work creating that icky anti-body rich pus to combat the invading pathogen Stepping back a bit----unfortunately most species of bot flies larvae feed on this protein rich gross stuff that our body's produce I am not saying that this is exactly what we have but I feel it is a like thing that the critters we have are pus eaters like the bot fly grub or larvae MMMmmmmmm tasty pus I at least have puss filled leasions deep under the skin that I can feel and probably so do you though you may not be able to feel them due to the thickened state of your skin or some other reason like they may be too small to detect just by feel I refer you to a once upon a time when I had a leasion that was about a half dollar size that was on my bum that was filled with puss that burst ( are we grossed out yet?) Before it burst it was your average every day bum doing what bums do really quite boring if you ask me no special activity going on as far as the parasites when the leasion burst when I sat down all hell broke loose I had biting and crawling going on that was almost unbearable due to the proximity of the bits and peaces It was this single instance that brought me to a better understanding of the nature of what I am up against So yes (If I may wax Shakespearian ) To pick or not to pic that is the question ?

Thanks Ant...thickened skin is the worst isn't it. How about one of those things in between the booty cheeks up high so it hurts when you walk or sit? Then go to have it lanced...and the doctors look at you like your a freak of nature? And that was fifteen years ago!? Hum...lovely. Cookies anyone? Sad but glad I'm not alone.
