Oh my gosh... thank you thank you thank you!!!! For some reason these wishes mean more to me than any others. Perhaps because you can all empathize with me... as I turn yet another year older with this. I turned 35 having just realized this was no ongoing flu and that something was very very wrong and very bizarre. And now I turn 37 and it is bittersweet. I am feeling sorry for myself for having to endure two whole years of flailing and struggling and confusion and physically suffering and the heartbreak of watching everything slip away from work to friendship to time with my children. The sheer fear of this thing that creeps back and takes hold when I let my guard down or my very forced brave face for even a second. Thinking I can't let it beat me, for if I do I'll surely die. The sickening lump in my throat when yet another new person shows up here, and they don't really need to say a word because I know, we know, just how much they've suffered. The thousands who have endured this so much longer than I and the thousands whom are about to. Those who have prematurely lost their lives and those who have taken their lives. And oh God... then there are the children. And this breakdown of humanity. And I am bitter... mad rageing furiously bitter. But I am alive. I used to take that for granted. I am alive to turn another year older. That is one more year with my children I didn't think I'd have. I see humanity here on this board. Thanking the board sounds impersonal. I thank each and everyone of you individually and those on other boards trying to figure this out and anyone acting on my behalf. Yeah, I suppose there's a lot of humanity left. Love can be a fierce weapon in the way of strength and survival. Someday we are going to have it so good. Who else will take a walk and appreciate such a simple thing? Or vaccum your house, just being glad to have the streangth to pick it up and the energy push it around? Who else will show up on time somewhere and be as proud of themselves for doing so? Or brush their hair and not care so much about how it looks but rather... that it's not falling out and that it's not creeping you out? I will. We are going to love life so much. They say "it's the little things that count" well we are going to love the heck out of the little things especially. And that... of course... was the "sweet" part.
Bittersweet indeed. Thank you all so much. I love you with all my heart, Alexandra

Friski - Thank you for the post. I'm a Libra thru and thru. When you said that I thought... oh is she a Libra too? How strange I would have pegged her for a Scorpio hands down. And so I looked and so you are... Scorpio. Of course. I'm guessing you like Libra cuz youre such a flirt. Anyway, you're a sweet SEXY (sight unseen but anyone can tell you are), sincere, super great girl. Thanks. Laur - Thanks for the presidential serenade. You freaked me out showing up on myspace... I was like OMG OMG and either that is not your real picture or you are pretending to to be a lot older than you are. Thanks for being there in Oklahoma. Did everyone know she actually moved there to be at Dr. Wymore's beck and call and offer up her assistance and body as a specimen. WOW! Amazing lady! Besty - I'm was excited to see your post. You are a sweetheart and I need to get a hold of you as I'm sure you're wondering where I am. All of you... thank you again.

Happy birthday Docp my last birthday was bittersweet too' so I know what you mean This disease has caused me to take stock of what is important in this life and even as cursed as it is it has been a blessing in that since So If we get through this and I tend to think eventually we will one way or another--we will be all most bullet proof and stronger inside for it As to the little things that we all once thought were so important as to drive our doings in our every day life those were the days when ignorance was bliss In a way I think it would be much easier to get diagnosed and get a definitive treatment if we were parasitized by elephants that way doctors could see them Just one drawback to that we would be smished flat Hummmm now the burning question do elephants parasitize humans ? I think I might be on to something here I will google it and get back to ya if I have one of those Oh" so rare eureka moments big warm birthday hugs--Daryl

Thanks Hojo! Ant - Right you are... I thought we had delved into every possible theory. Low and behold... we had not considered the elephant. There is an elephant aspect to this without question. This is what I found while researching... Wikipedia: The elephant in the room is an English idiom for an obvious truth that is being ignored, for various reasons. It is based on the fact that an elephant in a small room would be impossible to ignore. It sometimes is used to refer to a question or problem that very obviously stands to reason, but which is ignored for the convenience of one or more involved parties. I love your poetic sentiments and I love you for all the times you've literally made me laugh out loud. And for all the times you made it seem that I wrote pee'd off instead of piszed off, or shoot instead of chit, and for forcing me to come up with a more creative way to spell my way around you. Oh Ant... and just just just... for all the memories. Misty water colored meeemmmooorrries.... (sniffle sniff sniff)... luv ya

If Today is Your Birthday:
The Year Ahead Forecast for October 2006-October 2007
The Sun sits at the midpoint between Venus and Mars in your Solar Return, suggesting that personal magnetism runs very high this year. This has the potential for being an especially creative year. For some, it can be procreative! Your love life will figure prominently.
Mars trines Neptune around the time of your birthday this year, energizing the year ahead with increased creativity. You are more inclined to act upon your intuition, your sexual fantasies may be especially strong, and your creative impulses are potent. This aspect helps to soften your disposition, smoothing out some of the tension in your life. At times, you will have a "what will be, will be" attitude. This influence favors dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment. If you are an artist, this could be an especially inspired, imaginative, and productive year. Pay attention to your gut feelings, which will, more often than not, give you valuable information. If you are involved in sales, you will be able to tune into your client's inner desires and motivations.
The Sun trines Neptune, and you could find that your intuition is subtly enhanced this year as well. You’re often in the right place at the right time, probably because your hunches are more likely to be correct. This aspect also softens your disposition somewhat, as you tune into your imaginative and artistic side. You may often rely on your instinctual judgment. This is a good year for self-improvement programs or efforts. The need to “get away from it all” -- for some peace and quiet now and again -- will be strong. A more sensitive--even mysterious--persona is projected this year, and this can attract pleasantly unusual circumstances (and people) into your life. You will want to reserve time alone--away from the hectic pace of life--for reflection, prayer, or meditation.
With the Sun in positive aspect to Pluto, you display more self-confidence when it comes to achieving your goals and going after what you want. Others are bound to recognize your leadership skills and talents, or, at the very least, your potential. You are motivated to get to the bottom of matters. You might find that you become more goal-oriented, as superficial goals no longer satisfy you. You want your life path and your objectives to reflect what you’re really about, and you are likely to rid yourself of unsatisfying goals this year. You benefit from being more decisive than usual, and your ability to concentrate and focus help you to achieve what you set out to do. A new project or goal begun this year has a good chance of being successful and long-lasting.
A Venus-Saturn aspect in your Solar Return chart, suggesting that getting serious about love or money (or both) will be a theme this year. Money may be tight, or the need to buckle down with your finances may be necessary. This does not necessarily signify financial losses or hardship, but you are likely to have an increased awareness of your limits. The responsibilities of partnership are magnified this year. You are likely to be more earnest on a romantic level. An existing relationship may become more serious, or you may form a new partnership with a serious or older person. You are likely to work hard this year, and this could interfere with pleasure time. Opportunities to socialize may be reduced at significant times during the year, and this could be the result of increased responsibilities or it could stem from your own insecurities or lack of confidence on a social level this year.
2006 is a Number Six year for you. Ruled by Venus. This is a year of relative contentment. It is a time when love is the easiest to attract, and partnerships formed under this vibration have a better chance for longevity. You are able to attract others, and material things as well, this year. This is a good year for establishing harmony in the family and in the home. Advice - develop existing relationships, be positive and receptive because these kinds of energies help you to attract what you desire.
AND after the New Year begins:
2007 will be a Number Seven year for you. Ruled by Neptune. This is a year of preparation, chance, and refinement. It is not a time of dramatic changes. Instead, it's a year when reflection on the past is helpful, and when refinements to your life path should be made. It's a good year to study and analyze. Unexpected twists to your life story and "chance" meetings are probable. Advice - take stock of your life in order to prepare for more exciting years to come, examine the past and plan for the future, get in touch with your deepest needs and uncover your personal power, don't strain yourself or actively try to expand. (psst.. spec says: he he he Don't worry.. That part comes much later..after a lot more birthdays have passed by !! ) ;Dwww.cafeastrology.com/birthday/october6.htmlModified by specuelatin_;)

Special...atin - I love it! Look what I have to look forward to. Doldrums... forgetaboutit. I'm printing and taping this up for a constant reminder. I love how you highlighted and crossed out and detailed it all. My gosh, I am touched and feel very special. Okay so I don't know how you do it... you are probably the most positive, most kind, thoghtful, non-judgemental, hilarious and goofey girl on here. Yet you bring forth serious and sound information and logical analysis, and you go out of your way to explain it and re-explain it in the most lay of terms if some of us still don't get it. This has been consistant and your spirit radiates through time and space and pixels and text. Like youre right here and willing to hold our hand. Here's a song for you (minus the colors and graphics cuz I don't know how): WE... CAN'T... GET... NO.... SPEC... U... LAT... IN WEEEE... CAN'T GET NO... (BODY LIKE).... SPECULATIN BUT WE TRY, AND WE TRY, AND WE TRY... AND WE TRYYYYY WE CANT GETNO!!!! (dahdahdah!!!) I said WE CANT GETNO!!!! (no no no...) (nobody like) SPECULATIN... YEAH YEAH YEAH Okay, I think ya really need the colors and graphics to make it cool. Just pretend. Thanks again everyone. Allright I'm starting to sound like Sally Fields gushing with grattitude. I'll bow out before I get booed off.

DOCP Thats so cool you picked up on me being a scorpio! I once had a libra boyfriend for 4 years who was just the best. He always made sure I was happy and satisfied and he was always kind even though he was a real" badboy" type. Anyway being a scorpio can be intense at times and i know Im so close to libra it helps keep me calm and balanced. And it also gives me such appreciation for beauty. Speaking of beauty, you are incredibly beautiful!! MY God you look like a model. Dang, you could make a dead man rise again ;D or turn a gay man straight again ;D I am sorry you have been so sick and just know you will get better with time, take good care of yourself and rest when you need to and i will try to help you laugh some ;D :-*Frisk
