Well, I haven't kept up with ol' Tammy Faye over the years. Doeas she still wear all that eye goop? Bless her heart. I always wondered why someone didn't tell her to take that crap off!! lol Probably the same reason why no one ever told me I didn't have to have my boobs hanging out all the time, 'back in theday', before I was saved. Well, anyway, so is she sick? We don't have TV in our home (I know, boo, hiss, haha), so I don't ever hear of such things unless someone tells me. (So thanks for the update So many people are sick and suffereing besides those of us on this board...besides those of us with Morgs. We should remember to pray for them...

i think that is great if u don't have tv's i think it will make your kids do others things.music, singing there is nothing on but such bad things. happening.i try not let my granddaughter see it.i know we cannot keep them from the world, but we don't need to throw them in it.that is the only peace they will know is when thet r little.and yes we need to pray for all.do we have a place for prayers here on the board.i'm not sure if all feel the same as me.

Poster 'Lisa' has started a thread for prayer under "off-topic chat". The first page the site shows will have a link to it, and then click on prayer. There are only a couple on there, and we sure need all we can get! About the TV thing...we have sure taken a lot of flack over the last few years for that! You are right. People say we are trying to shelter them completely... It's not that. We are to be "in the world and not OF the world"... But there has to be a benign training place before they are thrown into real danger. Think of any training for dangerous situations...theyare all like that (military, etc.) Yes, some may learn to swin by being thrown in, but I don't believe it's the overwhelming majority who thrive in such conditions... Just my thoughts. The tv thing, well, we just got so dang tired of having to cover their eyes because there was sex on everything!!! Even the commercials were inappropriate. (Male strippers on a mayonaisse commercial?? Is this necessary to sell a sandwich spread? Girls screaming orgasmically to sell shampoo?? Do people really feel so dirty when they get in that shampoo does this for them??) I know, I sound a little like Seinfeld at this point, but it really hacks me off that absolutely NO thought is given to the fact that little eyes may be watching. Yes, it is ultimately up to the the parent's descretion, and they show that little lame-o warning about viewer discretion...But what about that split second when your back is turned? Or when they sneak downstairs before you're awake? And considering an episode of "Nip and Tuck" which my hubby and I unfortunately caught in the waiting room at the hospital...I would say taking out the tv was a GREAT plan. ...This particualr episode included pure, fully naked porn. I mean that's all it was. We caught it right at the point where they were stripped down and he was flippin' her over for a little back door action. Yup, right on plain television. I just sat there thanking God we didn't have TV anymore. It alternated between them and some other couple screwing, too. We just looked at each other and said, was that really on television??? Someone very dear to me was raped when he was a little boy, at gunpoint, and had been molested several times before that by this and some other people. I feel very strongly that porn, systematically placed into certain little hands, grew into an evil, young man who was a rapist...whom we believe may be continuing in that today. And the porn isn't just in little plastic bins at the convenient store, anymore...It's getting harder and harder to avoid... OK, OFF the soap box. Sorry. I get a little heated when it comes to those babies! They are just so precious, and they have to learn what is right and what is wrong before you just start cramming it down their throat, ya know?? (I know you do. I'm just ranting, that's me UH...I'm pretty sure I have gotten way off the subject of "hobbies"...Sorry, Bugged, please forgive... Passionately Heather (Itchingntexas)

You're the man Chem!! And Heather....your "off subject" is not a problem! I think just about every thread on here gets off subject...we're all pretty off anyway!! ;D Don't ever have to apologize here, unless of course someone wants you to stay sick!!! (Pertaining to the "you all can stay sick" thread)! But I aint here to get on that. I'm downloading your songs now......can't wait to hear them! My sister sings, mostly for her church and events now, but in the 80's she had a #1 country single that crossed over to pop. She sounds alot like you, as far as her life has gone. And well, as far as my life, I sang some backgrounds for awhile, but my heart just wasn't in that business (a little too crazy for me)! I have loved animals all my life, and had plenty to care for....I used to bring anything home when I went riding... horseback riding that is. I probably rode before I could walk!! I rode professional rodeo for about 12 years.....was Nevada State Champion in 1969 (who's braggin now)!!! I still love it, but I have a spinal disease that keeps me from doing any riding at all now, but I thank God for those many years I had of it! In fact I was a talent agent in the 80's and, just like the music biz, left the agency I was with.....to do what you ask? Work horses of course! I trained foals and yearlings, traveled to Kentucky to work for 4 months, ended up moving there for 5 years and then came back to California. I also love art (charcoal sketching mostly), wood carving, and doing stained glass. But as alot of us here, I don't do much of anything anymore. With everything this disease throws at you, it's so hard to do anything else, but I keep trying! Well gang, I could go on and on about this life I've lead, but it could be a little depressing, then on the other hand, a little wild, so I'll stop here!! This was a really great idea you had there Chem....thanks and I love you all!!

Great Thread Chem,
Lemme see here, I LOVE mountain biking on the bike trails away from the cars and all. Love Love Love biking!!!!! Tis my passion #1. My passion #2 is building/fixing computers, networking, technology learning, Home Theater Systems, Speaker systems, anything electronic, Digital photography is my Latest passion as well. Alot of what I like to do hasen't happened for along time now, but the biking continues to be the best for me rite now due to the fact I go very fast trying to get rid of the things with the wind...ohh well....I also have been going to the Farmer's Market downtown LA every weekend with my "friend" to watch different kinds of newer bands playing for free - rock-n-roll, honky-tonk, jazz-blues. I try to stay as active as these things will let me for the most part. There are days I can't even do the dishes because of them being way too dang active to be able to concentrate.
Thanks for asking Chem!!!! It was Very Kewl of you to start this bud - Thanks & HUGZ to ALL!!!

Yet more neat stuff on this thread. I concur, 'BUGGED', good thread!
Bananny, I thank you, most humbly. That is the most I could ever hope for: that my voice might bless someone along the way; make their day a little brighter or such.
This disease is so humbling, so debilitating at times...and takes away relationships. So it is good to have friends--if only via the internet--who understand. If we don't help one another, I fear no one will. May we all stay compassionate and still strive for the cure--even if we get well! God bless you, Bananny. And might I add that I really love your spunk!
