The fact that we are all, according to mainstream medicine, " DELUSIONAL'' makes me wonder...I have read everything that I can find...I guess the one thing that really puzzles me is this.....What is it that we all have in common??? Is it our immune system?? Have we been exposed to something we just didn't give much thought to??? It seems to me that it makes good sense that we all have that one thing in common that makes us inviting to these critters....Debby and I have back tracked our lives in every detail for the past few years to see If we could get an idea of when this first was noticed and what the details and conditions of our lives were at the time.... I would think that a " common denominator " exists for all of us...In some way or some how....We live in Michigan and according to the local news broadcasts the local hospitals are reporting that " bug bites " that don't seem to want to heal are on the rise ...... In fact in Southeast Michigan it is the most prevalent thing that urgent care and emergency rooms are dealing with....MMMMM...Does anyone suppose that we might be getting ready to turn the corner on the thing??? Lets put our heads together and see what it is that we have in common other than these " critters" Thanks to all of the people here...This web site has really been very therapeutic for us....Rick of rickndebby

The HLA-DR4 genetic marker. Without it you're basically immune to Morgellons. With it you can be infected because it mimicks that gene code and your immune system won't fight it. Don't belive me? Have your doctor check for it - it's found in 90% of chronic lyme disease patients. It's not a mystery any longer.

Chem: Would you mind explaining the HLA-DR4 genetic marker?
rickndebby I used to visit my grandparents every summer in a liitle town just across the michigan border. It was between Elkhart and South Bend. Are you in this vincinity?

Hey susiebelle, We live just west of Detroit in a city called Ypsilanti....We are 6 miles away from the University of Michigan in Ann arbor....No place special..but we are lucky to have one of the finest medical research facilities in the world....The only problem is that it's the "mainstream medical world" lololo

Chem: Would you mind explaining the HLA-DR4 genetic marker? rickndebby I used to visit my grandparents every summer in a liitle town just across the michigan border. It was between Elkhart and South Bend. Are you in this vincinity? It's a human immune response antigen encoded by the D locus on chromosome 6 and found on lymphoid cells. People unlucky enough to have that gene marker are susceptible to rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile diabetes, no to mention chronic lyme disease and secondary infections of it like Morgellons (IMHO all bacterial related). Welcome to the messed up world of the HLA-DR4 and pass me the genetic therapy syringe please (or the jaeger shots or both). Chemist G PS - GO SPARTANS!!!

Perhaps part of what we all have in common (on this thread anyways) is having lived in or near Michigan. I spent my adolescent years in Lake Orion.
In any case, Chemist, please see my response to the D4 genetic marker on the "the more I look the sacarier it gets" thread. Imagine that all people with add/adhd, chronic fatigue, chronic depression, bipolar issues, obsessive-compulsive, and any number of autoimmune illnesses would probably have this marker. There would have to be a genetic need for it though wouldn't there? What is the racial makeup of most of the people who have Morgellons? What I'm trying to get at is, perhaps this genetic marker served our ancestors in some way. If this were true, then we would have to share a general, possibly ancient, ancestry. Do you get where I'm going with this? I'm just curious.
Thanks, Linda

Yes, there IS a common denominator--problem is finding it...put us ALL in a room together for a week and we should be able to find what it is. I have NEVER been in any of the mid west states so that is not one of them.. One thing I find querious is that a lot of us has had a run in with the little no seeum type fly... 1942-tick bite I am sure gave me lyme 1991-some kind of insect bit that gave me babesiosis 1999-fly or no seeum that seems to have given me Morg. I love coffee--need it for brain fog--coffee tooper for a very long time. Cigs=gave them up 3 years ago after 3 goes with some unidentified bug--suspect that one that was posted here--name of thread. could be part of morg infection.? I live in a semiarid climate--CO. I love carbohydrates-- type o- blood ancesters from Germany-Austria-Irland-France Complaints= Bone cartledge deterioration- eye problems constipation- numb extremities- shinges like symptoms that move around the body. just to brush the hairs is painfull. itchie legs Teeth went to hell almost over night, Foot & toenail fungas. candida infections leading to LGS or intestinal permiability which lead to autoimmune problems. four years ago I could climb a mountain--today if I get down on the ground I can't get up unless i crawel to some where that I can pull myself up by my armes,,,give me two more years of this crap and you can have this place--I won't be neding it any more. Remember the , This Ol House song?

Thanks, Linda As far as geneticists can tell by tracing the human genome, the original ancestors of the HLA-DR4 gene were of a native american tribe originating somewhere near modern day Houston called the Abkani tribe. They were an extremely advanced civilization and scientists think the clovis spear point and other weapons thought to have originated near modern day Paris in Europe 8,000 years ago were now actually copied from the Abkani 10,000 years ago. The Abkani believed in two worlds - one of light and one of darkness and ancient artifacts tell of opening a door to the darkness where terrifying creatures thrive creating an illness that was wiping out their race. Artifacts from the Abkani have been found mainly in Florida, Michigan, Southern Cal and Texas. The only trace left of the Abkani is the HLA-DR4 antigen. Enjoy the sunlight... cause when the sun goes down, the freaks come out to play Keep singing.... Chemist G

Oh yes PS I have always had normal blood pressure and normal blood sugar. My choleaterol has hung around 245 for years yet my cardio vascular is that of a 25 year old. I have hypothyroid which came on with morg symptoms. Adrenal insuficiency that could be caused by the use of prednisone for the past ten years ( 2.5 to 5 mg per day) .for lyme symptoms or the babesiosis undiagnosed. I take 25 mg of amitriptyline at night to help me sleep--vetrens Adm put me on this in 1967 to counter the lyme symptoms that they never diagnosed--I guess I must have beenDOP LOL. I joined the USMC in 1951--made Sgt. in 12 mo. lead a squad in combat in korea and at least 1 month of that time I can not account for--I was amnesiac-- Try to fatom that.It scares the hell out of me when I think of it. I am sure that the stress of combat triggered the lyme and caused neurological brain problems---In 1955 I went to the VA in Denver to try and find out why I was insephletic--flue symptoms and my head rang like a tub of jello---If I mrerely tapped my nose it would make by brain reverberate. All of these symptoms are common to lyme sufferers. If you have morg--my advise is to be tested for lyme and don't take an inconclusive test as the final word. that's the way mine came back. Hey! I'll give you a good one to quit on--the test from IGen-x said that I was an active babesiosis--I went to an infectious disease specialist here in Pueblo to get it treated--his diagnosis was DOP , even with the positive blood test--GO FIGURE. How he got his degree in medicine I'll never know. I called his nurse and told her to tell hin that he damn well had better hope that he's right, Cause if he is wrong he aint heard the last of me. This should give you a pretty good picture of what's happened to this old man.

Orion, you have 0- blood, and I have 0- blood, I have heard this comes from aliens who were in our ancestry. The end.
Ha!
Nah, my son who had the juvenile arthritis, probably has Lyme, and he is B+, unless the aliens have started to simply replace our blood to cover their trail...

orion I want to commend you for serving in the milatary to defend our country. I am so thankful for all of the volunteers that are serving in Iraq today and it breaks my heart everytime I hear of the casualties. I have two sons and worry that they will reinstall the draft. I don't agree with this war and it would be very hard for me if they were forced to join. I'm not unpatriotic and if they wanted to go I would support them. My grandpa, dad, and brother all served. I guess I just wonder how Bush would feel if his daughters were the ones putting their lives on the line.

Nah, my son who had the juvenile arthritis, probably has Lyme, and he is B+, unless the aliens have started to simply replace our blood to cover their trail... spec Ouch! I feel something stickin' me.. Hello Everyone, I am new to this site and was just reading over your thread and I agree there has to be a common denominator. I have O pos. W/ Rh factor. I am of Cherokee Indian ancestry. I had mononucleosis as a teenager, I am 41 yrs old and have been sick for over 2 years now. I have lived for the last 5 years in a 200+ year old home that was constructed from river bed stone from the river several yards from my home. Which by the way has been the site of the waste water treatment plant in my town. When this all first began I had my home treated for Bed Bugs?? Do BB have anything to do with Morgellons??? It seems that after I had my home treated they the bugs, mites or what ever the HRL it was came out of the wood work or stone work as it were. LOL I mean, I seen things that looked like pieces of hair crawling down my walls and mites that were see through, they were like gel mites??? And of course black specs were everywhere. It was literal hell on earth. I do not live there now and right before I moved had it tested for mold, 4 different types showed up; Aspergillus, Cladosporium, curvlaria? (I am not sure the last one is spelled right) and sporlating fungi??? I bought home mold test kits and used samples from my body and they came back with these same fungi's I then was put on anti fungals for mold infection and got a lot better. But if I do not stay on my anti fungal i start feeling bad again. I also had problems with midges??? There has been so much, that just going back over the worst parts freak me out a little. I know that fungus plays a part in this disease and coupled with bugs?? And even though now I am mostly non symptomatic, when I pluck my eyebrows the root of my eyebrow hair still looks funny and I still feel sick and now have breathing issues and the places on skin where lesions were are now a funny color like purple reddish black looking??? I know I am not out of the woods yet. The land my old house sits on has been farm land for hundreds of years and an old grinding mill is across the street?? It was always dusty. And some times at night you could smell a funky smell outside?? I never could figure out what it was. It was different than the waste water treatment cycle smells??? I used to ask myself what the crap this was because it was so unpleasant to smell?? maybe some kind of fertilizer? There was a creek across the road? And it was a haven for stray animals??? I am still seeking answers to the illness that very nearly destroyed my life??? Thank you for your thoughts and I am sorry that this post was so long, as I wanted to try and tell it from the beginning of this nightmare. God Bless and keep us all.... mmarsha
