i've got my hair buzzcut today.. and found 2 collembola (Springtails) on me.. LIVE... legs twitchin.. etc.. VERY small.. on the end of the tweezers.. anyway.. the only thing those eat is decaying matter and LIVE FUNGI. also.. those little delicate gnats.. are known as FUNGUS GNATS. they eat fungus.. my refreidgerator in florida.. where i got this.. the tube that brought water to the freezerwas infested with fungi.. and i had gnats ALL in my refrigerator. all through it. maintenance man cleaned out the tube.
this is a virtual ECOSYSTEM within you... a VERY resistant fungi ... and insects that eat it.
this is how one could easily deduct why some people have th CRAWLING and some people DO NOT have the CRAWLING.
you may have the lesion forming .. joint aching, muscle twitching VERY resistant SUPER FUNGI in you.. but say.. you keep things super clean and there aren't things in you eating the fungi..
i had this fungi till i came to north carolina then bam.. i get the bugs that eat the fungi..(crawling) .. thats when i realized wha ti had.. only after the crawling.. while the fungal aspect grew.
but if there WAS a walking living sponge moving around in a damp place (i'm the sponge here) .. FILLED with fungi... then why would any springtails or fungus gnats NOT be attracted and want to feed off the fungi in me?
they would of course.
my house is halfway underground. I need to buy a dehumidifier, and dry the living hell out of this place. so that the collembola or anything else has that much more difficult of a time staying around.. i'm also going to get rid of my matress and sleep on the floor, vaccuming my carpet every day. i've had that thing for like 5 years ...
at least now i can sell my bed frame.. i'll get some extra $ at least.
and the only way i can imagine quelling this beast.. is to assume a diet that negates anything that can feed fungus.. OR cause more excess production of SEBUM (which skin fungus feeds off of - as well as keratinized cells.. like HAIR and NAILS ) ...
this means quitting cigarettes.. quitting coffee and sodas (dont drink sodas anymore) .. and grains.
all these things cause extra sebum flow ..( my face is horribly greasy ... ever since this started in florida and was drinking a 2 liter of Coke a day) ...
stop the extra sebum.. (lipid fatty acids)... and the fungi on the skin at least will only have hair to eat.
i hark back to the very first things i read where questionhair said do the anti-candida thing.. it will help incredibly...
makes so much sense to me now..
sure there are more nefarious adaptive aspects of this.. but if there's anything insect-like in me.. its not gonna survive without it's fungi food source..
limit your OWN produciton of that fungi's food... SEBUM .. (and keratin but dunno how you'd cut down on keratin) ...
at least it's a start.. makes perfect sense.
now... to deal with getting off the coffee/smoking/sugar/carbs ... urg... dang thats gonna be tough.

Prevenge, you are dead on, exactly, your synopsis of what is going on with Morgellons is exactly correct in my opinion.

Great post, Prevenge, and GOOD FOR YOU! It would be terribly hard, albeit impossible for me to give up a daily coke, my morning coffee, Chocolate, etc.
About Sebum.....I swear before the world I have more facial sebum now than I ever had as a teenager. I have NEVER understood why the sudden onset of sebum in pores.
During the summer I practically LIVE outside, never wear a hat, never use sunscreen, was a redhead, and by all that's known, I should not have the sebum problem, but I do have it.
To add to what you've written about Collembola, they are basic decomposers, and many species are carnivorus. Do I think I have them in my skin and carrying in fibers and hair? You bet your bippie I do.
I had to smile a little about the boy who had spiders in his ears saying it sounded like Snap, Crackle and Pop taking place in his ear.
Many of us have described it in those exact terms.

Here's what's odd to me. Las Vegas is drier than dry. I mean "bone dry". There is no humidity hardly at all here. And my home is probably even drier than the average humidity here..which is between 6% and 10%. When either the central heat is run, or the central a/c is on, that dries it out even more, if that's possible...but that's where I'm not understanding...cause there is no "moisture" where I live...really there isn't...yet, I'm now seeing Collembola and I have Morgellons. Just wondering about the "humidity part" since you were saying Prevenge that you need to dry your place out...I don't know if that would really make a difference...would it? I mean use me in my environment as help here....I'm talking dry dry...yet I'm seeing the same and living the same nightmare as you. Oh...something on sebum: What causes oily skin? Heredity is a major cause of oily skin. But hormone levels also play a major role in outbreaks of the condition. Teenagers passing through puberty have their hormonal levels drastically altered during that period which often leads to outbreaks of acne. Similarly, pregnant women, whose hormones often undergo drastic changes, can have the production of sebum affected to the point of having oily skin problems. (Ironically, the hormone-altering effects of birth control pills can have the same effect.) And the hormone imbalance in women in the throes of menopause can also cause the oil glands to overproduce sebum and result in oily skin problems. Stress is another factor that may cause the glands to overwork and produce too much oil. Diet may also play a major role. There are differing opinions on which foods may add to the problem of oily skin, but there is some agreement that fried foods and other foods which contain high amounts of fat should be avoided to aid in keeping oil production in the skin glands down. Some authorities also point the finger of blame at chocolate and other sweets while others think that the consumption of too much iodine (in fish primarily) is a more important cause. I think it was Browncircles that mentioned about taking "Pantothenic acid" supplements. It's B-5, and those do help alot of people in a natural way to alleviate excess oil from being produced. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantothenic_acid

would make sense that the collembola are coming from you. plenty of moisture in there.. plenty of fungi food.
i'm also beginning to take on the belief that the BRAIN FOG is caused by MYCOTOXINS (toxins released from fungi ). as well as the fatigue. muscle twitches? .. well FUSARIUM mycotoxins cause dreadful neurologic damage in horses... and cancer in rodents. the "bug bites" that dissapear in 30 min look like mosquito bites.. could be a toxic (allergic) reaction to the body parts of smooshed up collembola / fungal gnat nymph/ larvae/adult bodies that get mashed because of our daily actions. if they're in the skin..

I encourage everyone to give the anticandida diet a try. And i dont mean just for a week or 2. You have to do it for a few months and really make it your lifestyle. Its worked for me to keep the symptoms way way down. i tried to add wheat again and the crawlies came back strong so now I know i cant tolerate the carbs even if they are good carbs. ive seen this said so many times over and over again!ive been reading these boards for years now. ANTI CANDIDA DIET>>>>>IT WORKS!

Friski - You claim to be so big on the anti-candida diet, so why have you got that huge lollypop surgically attached to your tongue/teeth/mouth ? Huh ? huh ? ;D ... and how do you sleep with that thing attached like that ?
It is is good to remember that sugar (aside from growing things like candida) seriously suppresses the immune system so that fighting any pathogenic microbe - parasites, candida or whatever becomes quite impossible. I have seen how much each aspect of the immune system gets slowed - almost to a halt with not all that much sugar - I knew that it was bad - but that showed me HOW bad it is. This is a problem because sugar helps make serotonin which is a comforting thing. But then so does milk and chocolate. But there is nothing like chocolate milk - the ultimate - it has all three. I am in the process of making something that could work. If I find an organic, no sugar source of cocoa powder (should be easy enough) and mix it with organic milk and then see if stevia works as a sweetner for it - cuz it surely does not work in everything - then I will have 2 out of 3 of the serotonin increasers ! I'll let you choco/sugar fiends know how it works out.

Liatris,
Carob is probably your best bet.

Toni - Carob is ok but I am not trying to replace cocoa - it is not harmful to health when sugar is not added. Actually, the more cocoa, the more antioxidants (VERY high) and I am looking to the calm energy I get from the cocoa. Or maybe you meant that carob would taste better with stevia than cocoa.

Oh...I was going on what you'd said: (If I find an organic, no sugar source of cocoa powder).

When I need a respite from this mess I put a teaspoon or less no more of nutmeg or mace in my coffee along with a pinch of garana It gives you a happy euphoric feeling of wellbeing that is right in there with chocolate more-so Remember those happy euphoric times Christmases past when everyone was sitting around drinking eggnog nutmeg was the herb in the eggnog that helped make it possible to make it that much easier to believe in the sugar plum fairy ;D

ANTHILL - garana and nutmeg or mace - hmm ? I would like a euphoric feeling - but does that happen without the coffee ? Have you ever tried it without ? I wanna feel euphoric !! Toni - gottcha ! I think they do make organic chocolate for baking (no sugar). Actaully I know a place that has the organic cocoa nibs themselve, come to think of it - I could just grind them. Friski - whew ! glad to hear it is not surgically attached.

Hi liatris ' No you don't need the coffee or the grana for that matter just a little twist I do to enhance its effects I have made it as a tea or just chewed the herb it does not taste so good plain so when I make it as a tea I also steep my favorite teas with it to help with the flavor heres some info on nutmeg www.erowid.org/plants/nutmeg/nutmeg_journal1.shtml

Anthill, I believe it was the brandy, but after so many, I can see how you might misinterpret is it to be the nutmeg. freaky I'm gonna get that garanna though. Did you eat the sugar plum fairy? Yeah, that was last Xmas? hum.
