The Septra and Cipro combination is working great for me! ;D My skin, over all is 80% better since the start of this treatment and continues to improve daily. I have noticed that I do have to keep my dosage up because one or two pills seem to do nothing. I have only one major problem now. No doctor will treat my child yet and this has enabled the infection to continue to plague both of us. It’s been said before that everyone must treat simultaneously. Don’t forget that because it is very true and I have seen it with my own eyes. I continue to get reinfected nightly after my child bathes. These basterds can jump like fleas and do. Also, our environment is still a problem. We will be moving in two weeks in hope to eliminate this hindering factor. I know what I’m looking at and do realize that it’s a long term commitment to heal from this horrific disease, but I will do it. I’m a stubborn one I am and this disease picked the wrong Mother to screw with! I strongly recommend and endorse the Septra and Cipro treatment. Even if you don’t buy Schwartz’s theory, and I don’t , his drugs are working like a charm for me. I will not attempt to aggressively change any ones opinion about anything; we are all adults and have to make decisions for ourselves. But I will say that if you don’t at least try this treatment then you may be prolonging your torture longer than necessary. It works! Peace, Hope

Hi Hope,
That is GREAT news. How long has it been since you started it? What dosages are you putting up with? Are there any side effects of the meds, or are you holding up through it fine? I've never taken cipro before and am wondering what to expect.
Are you sure they are coming off your child on to you after the child bathes, or could it have something to do with the critters or bacteria just liking warm moisture?

Hello Jeff, Yes, I am 100% positive that they are jumping off of my kid and on to me! I can see this happen under the blacklight and even before I could see it, we both felt this phenomenon. Have you never felt them jump? As long as I have a lot of oil on my skin then they can’t bite, but yesterday I forgot to put it on my face and got really bothered as I attempted to treat my child topically. I started the Septra on 6/23. Both drugs are new for me too and so far I have had no adverse reactions to either. I do get a wiry feeling sometimes from the high dose of Septra and the purging, at first, was almost too much to take. So much garbage came out of my skin that I still shutter to think about it!!! I took this part slow and easy and did not take the fully recommended dose, it was just too much for my mental state of health. I was very inconsistent at first as well. Had to take a day off here and there just to cope and used these days to replace the good bacteria the pills were killing off (Probiotics). I can take more now without the mental effects since a whole lot less expels. I average at about 4 pills per day with no problem what so ever. I’ve been on Cipro for one week today. The Cipro has been a little hard on me as I get extremely tired and just need to sleep a lot more, but so far that has been it. I take this once a day and it is a 500mg pill. I’m still waiting to feel better on the inside, you know, like having some energy to do anything or a clear head to think again. Hope that will eventually resolve it’s self but it sure is nice to have my skin intact again. ;D Good luck to you if you decide to treat with these meds and don’t forget your Probiotics! Peace, Hope

Gotcha, Hope. Thank you, I must have forgotten that. I'm so thrilled for the good news. Just don't go off of them to soon. I'm running on my own theory that we have to continue to treat for (1) the unknown length of the life cycle, and (2) until there's no more left embedded and protected in lesions or scar.
Stay strong, Jeff

Jess, You need to take a good look at how you are coming off here. You are ridiculing someone who is having success from something other than what YOU FEEL the answer should be. People disagree with you. SO WHAT. You have only been on your diet for one week. Guess, that gives you all the right to treat people like crap.

Jes,
I have seen people post about the diet, and there were still people that it didn't work on. I think this is great that this diet is working for you, however like many of the people on this board your sure cure MAY be short lived. Give it 3 months. Give it time like i said so your SURE not to have your foot in the mouth weeks down the road. We want to know that there is a cure and your observations over just a week isn't compelling, we need more than that.

People disagree with you. SO WHAT. You have only been on your diet for one week. Guess, that gives you all the right to treat people like crap. It's not just the one week diet. IT's the fact that the diet always makes us feel better. How other people claim that their Morgellons has been cured by changing diet (it's all over nuspa and other usp boards!) It's the undeniable facts that all point to this disease being Candida. You can continue to doubt this by trying to grab onto any little hole you can perceive in my idea, but that doesn't make it any less true. Do you all know how you're coming off, as stubborn, unable to get past your own egos to get well mules? I tried to get my point across politely through the "is my morgs really candida?" But I could not get anyone to pay attention to this. So maybe if I am not so nice it will cause you to know that this is serious. I'm sure it's not the best way to go but you are all really peeing me off because I WANT everyone to get well-I don't want you to continue to search for mystery parasites that have not been discovered for a reason, and to stop dismissing this as something that's just a "coincidence" or "couldn't possibly be true for this reason or that" I know it is true! All of you will find out one day. I just hope it is sooner rather than later! Jess What if I told you I followed the exact protocol you have with success. What if I told you I also came on like hell on fire with people, shaming them and bullying them with words "stubborn", "egos", "mules" and a host of other condescending combative words. What if I then told you that after a short time that initial success I experienced was met with a worse then ever exacerbation of my condition? What if I told you that I felt like a complete moron for beating my "miracle" over the heads of others only to be slapped down so fast my head spun? What if I strongly suggested you back off on your verbal assault and share your experience as it unfolds instead of your belief in something that has not yet happened?

If that's what you want, then I would reply that instead of working so hard to beat your theory into people, you should work harder of describing what is going on. What were your symptoms like a week ago? What is changing? Describe it as your routine goes on. Either none of that has been presented yet, or it has been lost in the ranting. Lots of people here have had improvements for a week. What has been lost is a week's worth of description, which could have been far more persuasive over time than your confusing a keyboard for a sledgehammer.

WHAT IF I told you that I don't believe a word you say until you post your information to refute my information? What if if you say "I don't care I don't need to prove anything to you" ? OK then we're back to the old drawing board. Why not tell me a bit about your situation? That way, if I am incorrect, I can understand and discontinue my preaching. Opposed to carrying on with something that may not work for everyone. That would be great. I'll stop once it's proven to be incorrect. Jess Just as I thought. I feel a great pity and sadness for you and great respect for the people you so vehemently attacked. Your attempts to break the spirits of others to feed your false ego is noted. Best of luck to you in all ways.

I see no stubborness here. Just a group of friends happy for another who is feeling some relief. Why can't you be happy for Hope, whether or not you agree with her methods? It appears that YOU are the one who is being stubborn and pushing your thoughts onto us as if they were written in stone.
Get a heart and if you can't be nice, go somewhere else to post.

I think we all agree that a proper diet is essential no matter what disease we suffer from. But when some of these diseases become chronic, it no longer is just a matter of eating the right foods......many of us have been down that route and it was not the entire answer to our wellness.
When something is working for one of "our own" and he/she is sharing how elated they are at feeling better, it's shameful to rain on their parade and judge them so harshly. I for one am very thankful that Hope is seeing some results and I hope to God that she continues to improve. This is a time for supporting each other no matter what mode of treatment each of us chooses to use.
We are all different with various forms of these diseases......what works for one may not work for another but we should be happy for those who are seeing any kind of improvement at all. Considering we have been left to fend for ourselves, I'm extremely proud of what everyone here has accomplished. Even a few days of success is better than the hell we've all been through over the years.
God bless you Hope.......we all love you and may you continue to heal.
Patti

When you move you need to try and put the furniture which IS probably invested with the buggers and leave it outside for as long as possible.Put rubbing acohol in a spray bottle and spray all furniture. Put one capfull of clorox in the bath water for your child and wash their hair well;then shower them down and wash again before you leave. Wash all towels in clorox and do not use them but once. Throw away all rugs if you can or also wash them in clorox twice. The car is where we keep getting re-invected and I don't what to do about thet. Hope this helps

Hello buzzbomb
In Arizona temperatures sore sky-high in a closed up vehicle. How hot does your interior get when you are parked in the sun?
Temperature in a house can be raised to 130 degrees to kill bed bugs. Instructions are to tape the windows so they don't just run out and run back in when the temperature drops back to normal again.
I think doing a death valley trip to your cars interior might work. Of course you will be careful and figure out a safe way to accomplish this should you decide to try this out.

Pattiecakes' husband installed some sort of bacteriostatic light in their well.
It would destroy bacteria, but that is about all I know about it.
