Hey folks, Need some advice here. With all this talk of hair and body fungus it would seem that an antifungicide on the furniture would be in order. Just want something A. That won't damage fabric. B. Works C. Is cost effective (cheap). Don't wanna use peroxide....would stain..as would bleach.hmmm Anti-fungal sprays would add up quickly on our tight budget. Would diluted vinegar smell go away? Vinegar kills fungus right? ~HELP~ I have two pets who have this too and want to keep everybody fungus free. Thanks, ~Bugsy

We just threw our fabric furniture away. Much easier that way. The dog wasn't too happy about losing his love seat but he'll get over it.

Well .. nice thought...would also like all hardwood floors but ..what if you don't have the cash to replace these things? What do you use now? All leather furniture? Would love a nice car with a leather interior..but ...again..
Oh ..pets not allowed on furniture for a long time now...but the carpets need this treatment as well.

I wonder if sprinkling baking soda on fabric items and carpet would help. The baking soda helps get rid of the lesions. It also takes odours away and I think they use it in that carpet sprinkle stuff. Another thing that reduces mold is air circulation so fans would be a good idea. Also, a dehumidifier if your home has too much moisture in it.

Apple Cider Vinegar. (I've been told that its superior to white vinegar.)
We put it into a spray bottle and dilute with water and spritz everything. Furniture, baseboards, bedding... and in the rinse cycle.
I only smells like a Vlasic dill pickle for a few minutes... then funny enough, the smell goes away. But if you're used to keeping a Kosher home, then who knows (?) that might be a nice odor for you ! haha
