I think we should all offer to sell our collections to the highest bidder on eBay!!! This could be done either in groups of 10;20 etc.. or entire collections. I have collected over 700 Morgellon's critters that I have found on my body. I have digitally photographed them and know many others have done the same. They would be purchased and shipped all over the world. Even our Morgie "critter" pictures could be sold. After all they are totally unique.
If done right we could raise money for research, raise awareness and stir the CDC at the same time. I also propose enclosing the crystals and other of the more fascinating "critters" in amber and selling them as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.!!!!!
In the Morgellon's community we could lighten things up and make money for the cause by by holding contests for the ugliest Morgie; the cutest; the funniest; the scariest etc. I use captions on some of mine. I have one that I call 'Chiquita Banana' because it looks like it has a huge hat another is in the outline of a bunny rabbit, I call it 'Bugs', I have an "ET" a "Roswell Debris Field" and an "Alien Giving Obscene Gesture". We could charge small fees for each entry set up a panel of judges (doctors, scientists, psychologists and microbiologists) and have fun the whole project.
Look, I know how deadly serious Morgellon's is because I live and struggle with it every day. We desperately need answers and we're not getting them so lets get radical and have fun too. I am willing to bet we would get the word out farther and faster than the methods used to date.
The CDC does not consider this a Disease and is evidently not too worried about the entire matter or it would have most certainly taken swift steps to investigate. So why not? I do think we should use a great deal of self-imposed caution with regards to packaging and shipping. Maybe the CDC could offer us some advice in that area. I will contact them on that phone number they have and leave a message on their recording letting letting them know what we are doing and asking them for tips on shipping the "Critters and Jewelry Worldwide".
I bet we could make more money off of delusions than any group in history!
