I bought a 2003 Kia Sedona van almost 1 year ago. I have had a few problems with it so yesterday I was looking for info about this vehicle, because everytime I drive it I feel horrible. There is a message board about Kia. Some are posting about CHEMICAL ODOR COMING FROM AIR CONDITIONING VENT. MOLD problems? So what do you think? Could this have been the start of my problems? Who knows!

I have heard of instances where vehicles have been in floods and they refurbish them some and resell them to make up there loss and don't tell the buyer Dirty flood water's can carry every pathogen that you could think of You might do a search of the previous owners and if the part of the country that they lived in floods regularly just an Idea

Anthill, What do you think of water lines being broken? What I am getting at is the highway dept. is expanding roads. Where I live. There are broken water lines all the time. Water being shut off for a couple of hours a day? How would I go about finding previous owner of my van? Would the dealership even tell me? There was only one owner before me. I know I am throwing a lot of things at you. I am only searching for answers.

Unless your car is getting flooded by the broken water lines I don't see any problem If the water lines that are broken are your tap water and your drinking it might be contaminated if dirt is getting in the line at the place of the break As far as your car being infested if you put it in the hot sun and lock it up tight windows up and all The temperatures in your van should get high enough to kill most buggies To find the history of the car owners find the Vin number which should be on the drivers side on the dash board right next to the front window take that number into your local department of motor vehicles they should be able to tell you who the previous owners were It might be allot of hassle though chances are if your car doesn't smell musty it might not have been in a flood Another thing to consider is if your cooties are anything like mine they are reactionary to heat and cold humidity if your car is hot inside they will react to that if you have air conditioning they will react to that too" I find that heat makes them come out and and cold make them go back in the skin theres some give and take in that respect I know is hard to tell because there are so many of them you may find as I have' that you are more infested than your environment and the ones on and in your body are reacting to environmental conditions at any given place that you are' It may seem that you are getting attacked in that certain area but you may not be' Now that this has slowed for me I am pretty sure this is true and it is one less worry on my mind and I can concentrate on getting them off me and not worry where they are coming from I do some environmental maintenance with the things I touch like clothes were I sleep and so on and so forth For me life is much easier knowing that I am the main smoking gun an I can concentrate on what kills them It's too maddening to worry where I got them its like trying to count all the stars in the sky there could be so many places I could of got infested Not to say that I am not cureous about whats getting me because I am I still boot up the digital microscope here and there when I find somthing that may be sigificant hope I was a big helper--ant

Ant, Thanks for your advice. You are right about trying not to figure out where this is coming from...or how I got this. The thing is until I find some doors to open and SHUT with this mess I don't know where to turn. I see the same STUFF on my husband. Even though we are separated, we share two children. We both love them very much. I feel helpless because I don't know where to turn to get help for my kids. So even if I did how do I get hubby convinced? Are you feeling like a need a counselor by now? haha Maybe,I should have took that psychiatrist up on that appointment!ha All in fun, but seriously wondering what to do.

Even new cars get mold in the ac. I know from experience. You should set it on vent when the car is parked, so that fresh air is getting in, therefore less mold. If it doesn't have a vent setting, put it on anything except max ac because that setting closes the fresh air door.

Ant, Patti is right!Thank you so much for BEING YOU! Since I found you guys a month ago (maybe longer) I have felt a sense of comfort knowing I am not alone. Not that i would want anyone to have this, but that I am not crazy. I had 4 miscarriages in the first 8 years we were married. We did infertility, nothing worked. Then, we decided to maybe adopt. Then I bought a salon and a couple of months later became pregnant. I have two beautiful children. The oldest is 31/2. His name is Christian. Then I have a daughter who just turned 1 on August 3. Her name is Audrey. They are my life. I have kept on keeping on because of them. I know I probaly would have thrown in the towel, but I know that they deserve great health! I feel so responsible for what is happening with this crap and there is doctors I can't even convince to help me. Sometimes I feel like packing up and moving. Just crazy thoughts, sometimes! But doesn't that go with this ILLNESS?HA
