KJ and I had a long consultation with the doc at the hyperbaric facility. He was excited and thought that this therapy could actually kill off the pathogens in our body. But he had lots of questions about the disease. Was very concerned about exposing his staff and other patients. Initially he told us we could bring our own bed sheets to use in the chamber. Then we'd take them home, wash them, and bring them back the for the next treatment. He also warned us to use a lot of discretion and not to discuss our disease with other patients or with their relatives in the waiting room. Well, this morning he called to let us know that they won't be treating us because they're afraid that we'll spread the disease to their staff... and to their other patients. So, until they can devise a chamber in a separate - quarantined - room, then we cannot receive treatment. This got me thinking that the bottom line (and we should all get used to this) is that you're likely not to be treated for Morgellons. Why don't they treat us? - At first they won't treat you because you're deemed "delusional".
- Then when they start to believe you, they won't treat you because they don't know how.
- Then after they wholly believe the disease is real, they won't treat you for fear of contamination.
Doesn't that just about cover it? If my logic is wrong, please tell me because I'm pretty mad / upset / frustrated / and defeated about all this.

JoseJ , so sorry they treat you like that , man. It must be heart breaking. Just a thought, what about contacting the ACLU? Although i don't agree with alot of the way they do things, this should be right up their alley. Sure would be nice to have some legal counsel on this board.

Okay, Guys, Listen. I am so sorry for what KJ had to go through, but the guy is kinda right. Do we know this is congagious? NO. Do we think it is? Yes. So what do you do? Take precaution. I am not trying to side with the guy, but lets just say you were the next person to go in there and you started itching and you suddenly had this crap. You would go and sue the guy. How could the ACLU do ANYTHING when NO TESTS have been done to determine whether or not it is contagious? What possibly would they base it on? We are probably YEARS from having any details on what we have. Remember AIDS? How about Lyme? Chronic Fatigue?

Jose and Kathy,
This is pitiful shame for you. I know how you looked forward to this treatment.
I think it's a matter of we either "don't say all" or we say it all...and then it's up to "whomever" to decide if they will "allow" us to "contaminate" their office after they hear that "this is all in the air about what it is or how to treat it...or rather it's not yet known about anything about it really...just that it's a nightmare".
I TOTALLY understand your position, as I experienced "almost" the same thing.
Was told there "no such thing" but they didn't want my rear end back in their office, because "that office" was afraid of my contamination!
So best thing I think...which this won't work, that I WISH I could do...but it would be fruitless too, is go to one of those doctor FOOLS that insist it's ALL in my head, and let them do the hyperbaric...since it's in my head, I shouldn't then be contagious right?

Jane, I suggested the liberal ACLU because he does have a right to medical attention . Not to be disciminated against. thats all I was saying.

Josej, Please get a copy of the Lyme and Rife book by Bryan Rossner. He discusses the hyperbarric oxygen and says it didn't work for his Lyme. Don't waste your money and emotion.

Jose, I side with Belikewater. If circumstances close a door for you, take it as a sign that it was not the right way to begin with and look for something else.

Its really tough to get your hopes dashed. I feel so sorry about that. Any new thing seems to throw these things off course. Anything could be "it" - the cure.
U.S. medical care is a business first and foremost. They can do elective treatments however they want. We can't demand treatments, or experiments. They don't know what to do yet anyway, but many of us still hope.
I might have done the same thing in the doctor's place. Or worry that I maybe should have.
I think this incident is a signpost to the future. The fear factor.

Josef, So sorry to hear about the latest rejection. I have been wondering about hybaric treatment myself. I've heard of a family in Santa Rosa, Ca who mortaged their house and bought a hybaric chamber to heal their child's lyme. It worked and now they rent it out to others.

no one can treat us cause no one knows what it is they need to treat .. no one knows what the pathogen is that causes morgellons. As soon as we accept that , we will all support the researchers that are looking . No one could treat AIDS till someone found the virus .. aids still infects people they haven't gotten a vaccine yet .Now you see how long research takes? And AIDS research is supported by the Government cause it has the research behind it saying this or that drug does this or that . ( but its not curable)
When we stop complaining about why they wont treat and accept that no one can cause you can't treat what you do not know .
That would be like taking a squirt gun to the attack on 9-11 it has water .. and water kills fire .. but just that knowledge wont stop that attack. get it?
