Ive been working out doing yoga and using an elliptical stairstepper regularily now several times a week and that alone has helped me so much to feel better. There must have been lots of toxins in my muscles becaue when I first started the yoga I could literally feel the toxins release and then would feel pretty bad the next day. sort of like having the flu. This went on for about a month . But now I feel pretty good and dont have all those muscle aches and pains i used to live with daily. Plus it feels great to have that calm and peace that yoga can bring. i started that almost a year ago. And now I have added weights and an excersize ball to my routine and workout to a video 2 or 3 times a week .I started this about a month ago. Pushups squats and crunches too. Im thrilled because finally after all these years my muscles are started to respond more normally and instead of feeling weaker from working my muscles they are actually getting stronger and getting this feeling like they want to be worked even harder . i havent felt like this years! i havent lost anyweight whitch is a bummer butjust feeling healthier and stronger is enough for me. I encourage you all to start an excersize program , its done so much for me! just go easy in the beginning and do whats comfortable.

That's great. You go girl. What a babe! When you start working out, you don't loose weight because muscle weighs more than fat. , & you're increasing your muscle size. :-*freaky

That's right, muscle is heavier. To lose weight and lean down, your diet must be changed. You don't eat carbs do you Friski? If you eat alot of protein and work out, you'll drop weight fast. www.webmd.com/diet/guide/high-protein-diet-for-weight-lossThis is a little article about protein. My sister was a pro body builder, and before contests she had to lean way down to "expose" the muscle definition...so she went on a super strict diet, but we don't need to go that far, but protein keeps you feeling full too. I'd like to join you, cause I'm sort of bored working out, and am losing motivation, and I've gotten slack about it, and having work-out partners "even here" helps, and others too can join in too. What "maybe" we can do is sort of write down what we've done, and that will keep us doing it. Cause me knowing you're doing this, and me doing it, might help others too, cause then we all sort of form a routine and keep to it?? Just a thought.

Excellent advise Friski and a perfect example of helping the body help itself. We need to realize that the body is going to react in what appears to be a negative way when we make a major change in activity and push ourselves past that point in order to see and feel the positive results. Thrilled for ya. You will be able to see a change in weight & inches eventually I'm sure. Do you have access to a sauna? We have some equipment in the garage but Iv'e decided to join the gym with better equiptment and a pool. Thanks for sharing. ... Still ~~~m-0u0-m~~~ but don't do pull-ups. ... JJ

friski, that's great and good for you - it sounds as though you are making great progress. Don't even weight yourself because you will become lovely and toned and look a treat. I started a yoga class this week and the teacher was fantastic. I was a bit apprehensive because the last time I went along the teacher took so long to demonstrate each position that the class consisted of him doing his stuff 80% and us attempting to copy 20%. This class was great so I am all set for next week.
JJ - do you think that it is allright to go in a public pool and sauna?

Thanks for all the encouragment guys Toni, no i dont eat many carbs but thanks for the reminder because I was starting to slip and eat alot more yogurt than I should. i like to eat cottage cheese because its way lower in carbs. Its hard for me to get protein because Im a vegetarian and dont eat fish either. Soy and eggs turn me off too. I had to stop eating nutz altogether because I was pigging out on them all the time ;D If you want to try the video I think its great and only takes 20 minutes so its pretty easy to schedule even on a busy day.Its calledGunner Petersons "core secrets" fundementals featuring Brooke Burke, she was at one time a playboy model and still looks fantastic after 2 childrn too! I got the workout ball and 5 pound weights at target, not too expensive. Be my workout Bud Toni!! tinyurl.com/3xrblxI guess if I had a man to impress I would work harder at losing weight but I dont care that much anymore ......I just want to be healthy and have white teeth ;D

I'm gain Toni. Everyday when I'm in the shower I bend over, & press my hands to the floor. I do this every day I take a shower, to the count of 10. ( I do wish someone would clean it though. That might be mold I'm seeing.) Then, I've recently made this addition. I place my hands on my hips, put my chin up-wards, & give my back a good ol streeetch. Friski, you have my 100% support, & you too Toni, & Jeff. I may increase my program, maybe add another exercise. I saw this woman on TV who worked out in her own den. She did a lot of dancing with scarves. I may add that.

Dear friski do you eat cheese? It worries me that you are not getting all the vitamins and minerals that your body needs. Raw carrot sticks are very good so is celery. If you like spicy things you can cut thin slices of carrot, celery cucmber, cauiflower any vegetable you want. Put them all into a large jar. Boil up a mixture of vinegar, a little salt ,sugar and water. Boil it up and pour it over the sliced veges in the jar Seal it, keep it in the fridge and you will always have something to nibble on. Another thing is raw or cooked beetroot. Grate it and mix it with mayo it is very very tasty. Have you tried tofu?

Hannah, Public Sauna and Pool? A few years back I wouldn't of even considered the Gym. In the past outwardly visible symptoms that appeared to be a source of possible contagion are almost nonexistant in my case. As far as me giving something to someone else, I have done all I can within my power to prevent that from happening. I still take precautions but am no longer reclusive. The pool is quite large and treated, plus have always showered before jumping in a pool. The Sauna at the gym I won't use, we have our own. The equiptment I might approach as if it was the handle on a shopping cart at walmart. ... JJ

Hey Friski girl... :-*I took your CD to work and it didn't have the right song on it that I want for you. Now I got to find the right one and you'll get both but I have to wait 'cause I just love the one that I can't find the CD for and and so much want you to have that. I just ordered some tincture bottles too because I've been late on getting a couple things out to people that I said I'd do that for.
We still work out...just not as much ;)it's been rough around here lately!
I WANT to move. I'm not happy with the the owners son who is taking care of the property for the owner. But I have an eviction on my record from when I was fired and thrown out of my last sick place and got hit with this nasty disease. Then I got this monster face beautiful pit that no one will take. It's been a challenge that's starting to stress me out. Oh and I forgot I need to stay in the David Douglas School District for both my kids, especially Boy with his autism and there just isn't much out there. No way can we move in to an apartment you know...so Carrie is learning patience and trying to conquer my running brain with thoughts of a peaceful mind and the workings of the law of attraction! It got my man except there wasn't nothing patient about it!!!

JJ thanks for the advice re: swimming in the public pool. I've not been swimming for over two years since before I knew about Morgellons. I stopped when I developed the lesions on my feet. These have cleared up since I was prescribed DiproSalic by the Lyme doc. Now I have no lesions I think that it would be safe for me to swim in a large treated pool. But, yes, probably best avoid the sauna. I have the infrared at home. I see what you meen about touching the handle on the trolley - opening doors and so on. We would just have to lock ourselves up. All the best, hannah
