I wondered if anyone else has cysts occurring. Within the past two years I have had (I believe) a cyst burst internally. Last Oct. Dr. found a cyst believed it to be on my ovary and wanted to do a complete hysterectomy. I said NO I had a cyst on my appendix when I was 25. and i did not want an operation and miss work for 6-8wks recovering time. Every 3 months they gave me an ultrasound. Finally in July I asked for another ct and it showed that the cyst was not on my ovary. I begged to have something other than surgery so gyn sent me to the radiologist . Using ultrasound guidance, a catheter was placed into the cyst and 150ml of clear colorless fluid was drained. I felt pretty drained myself since I was watching the procedure and a local anesthetic had been injected for pain. i still felt alot of it. The cyst had become complex and he could not get to the rest. He stated that we will do the procedure again and he will inject alcohol to beak down the cell wall and it probably will not surface again. He seemed shocked that it was like a balloon filled with very clear water looking liquid. I expected to see critters all in it. They also found a Small simple cyst on my liver. The dr has refereed me to have my stomach and intestinal track checked for cysts. So, have any of you morgs had any problem with internal cysts? Isn't it interesting that my doctor cou;ld have done a hysterectomy when the cyst was not even on the ovary.

i suspect that I had something burst inside, spasmodic coughing fits over an hour, then suddenly nodules all over my legs where they had been clear for years, and they came out in three waves, starting the week after the coughing fits, then took about 10 days for cycle to end.
Once at the doctor's office where I work, we had a patient complain of neck pain, near base of neck, he had a fair size lump. Doc finally got sick of the whole situation and aspirated it. I think with a needle. There was atleast four ounces, what was sick about this was looked like cafe ole'. Ugh! I had to transport it to the lab! Double ugh!
Weird what our bodies do harbor. I don't know if he has Lyme, but certainly was ADHD! at 40 something.

spec, if you work with a doctor tell me if it was unusual for mine to be so very clear. I have looked up cysts on webb md and most are like what you are talking about/ really nasty with "Stuff" in the aspirated liquid.

I began having cystic acne from the time I believe I was bitten by a tick. I have polycystic ovaries although my doctor has told me that I am not the "norm" for one with this condition (had 3 kids, am slim, etc.). I've had other mysterious cyst issues. You do know that Lyme buggers form cysts inside the body when they feel they are being attacked.

I had an ovarian cyst removed several years ago. The report said it was filled with opaque fluid. After the surgery is when all my health problems started. I had a year or so i started to feel better and then this crawly bug whatever thing started. They saved my ovary and just took out the cyst- it was the size of a small orange. :-*Frisky Cat
