I have been experiencing the strangest symptom of my battle with Morgellons and would like some advice.
I feel like something is moving inside of my ear. It's not an itch, nor is it deep down in my ear like something allergy related. It's right at the entrance of the ear canal, and it's more towards the back of the entrance, not that little 'flap' that if you press will close off your ear. I hope my explaination is clear because I don't know the names of all the parts of the outer ear.
I have looked inside but cannot see anything. The movement feels as if a bug is trying to crawl into my ear, but there is never anything there, nor does the movement travel as it might if a bug were to crawl into the ear canal. It's almost as if something is under the skin in that area.
I have used Hydrogen Peroxide in an attempt to dislodge anything that might be in the ear, but it hasn't had any effect. This also happens to be on the side of my body which I have the most symptoms.
I'm not sure if any of you experience the majority of symptoms on one side of your body, but I feel as if something is pressing on a nerve on one side of my body. It's not a painful feeling, but more like a very, very light 'tickle' but I can't seem to pinpoint the location.
Sometimes it seems as if I touch an area of the back of my neck or my back with that 'tickle' sensation that I can feel it all down my body. Then it will seem as if the 'tickle' is not actually eminating from my neck but maybe from a spot on my lower back, or my leg. I do have several small 'pimples' in the most sensitive areas that never seem to heal. They will shrink - and occasionally grow just slightly larger - but they never entirely disappear. I've tried poking them with a sterile needle to try to remove anything that might be in them, and then will put alcohol on them to get them to dry out like a normal pimple would, but they are still there. My face, neck, and my lower back, all on my right side, seem to be the areas where I experience the most itching, stinging and sensitivity.
Does anyone know what I could do about this? I realize that there is no cure for this, but I need to get some relief or I'll go mad. I mainly use a topical numbing cream on these areas because NOTHING else works, but even then the relief is short lived. The sensation becomes unbearable if I get warm, and I've started wearing a long sleeved shirt inside out because the seams of clothing will drive me to insanity by aggravating the sensitive/ticklish areas.
I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take? I am SO tired all of the time and my life is a mess, but I'm sure so many of you can relate to this desperation.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent, I don't really have any friends to vent to anymore as they've all sort of deserted me because of this. And if anyone could offer anything to try please let me know. Also, if anyone uses Ivermectin or Fenbendazol, as I have seen these mentioned as offering some relief, where do you buy them? I want to avoid another office visit charge because money is already VERY tight and I'd prefer to order online if I could.
Again, thank you for listening and for all of your help.

I have the same tickle feeling quite often and at times an excrutiating shooting pain through my ear. It is usually my left ear but once in a blue moon, my right ear. I spray hydrogen peroxide in my ear and keep my head tilted for a while so it really soaks in there for a while. Then I let it drip out and I wait about 20 minutes. I spray hydrogen peroxide on a Qtip, (so that whatever is in there doesn't grab the dry fibers from the top of the Qtip) and I usually dig out something like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0CnF99-xh0and then the tickle stops until the next ear morg grows and starts the same ole crappy cycle again. I hope that it works for you. I also have some pimples or tiny bumps that grow and shrink and one that even breaks out into herpes at times. Abbie

For meds try Jeffers. tinyurl.com/2vejupYou can use ivermectin (Ivomec injectable) topically, but not in the ear. I'd put a bit of vaseline or oil in the ear canal and use a hot, hot electric heating pad on the ear for a couple of hours at least.

Hi llm9180 and welcome,
In the fall of 2004 I was bitten by a tick. It was in my left ear and no one believed I had something in my ear. I had dozens of people look into my ear; family , friends and doctors, and they all said they couldn't see anything. I could feel it though. Then about 3 weeks later after a shower and Qtip swipe, there it was on the end of the Qtip! A few weeks later I came down with a serious case of Bells Palsy that lasted for 5+ months.
Now I know I have Lyme and Morgellons and both of my ears have been a source of problems for me. I suffered a painful rupture of my left ear about 2 months ago, within just a few hours of starting a new antibiotic! Both ears feel like something is still moving around in them and drive me crazy. I have tried peroxide but even at half strength I think it dries out my eardrum and exacerbates the itching.
The things that have helped me the most is definitely Doxycycline (can't walk without it) and bleach baths. I do occasionally submerge my head in the bleach bath but again I'm sure it dries out the ear canal. I am just starting an antibiotic eardrop today so I'll let you know about that. I have tried many different things and a heating pad directly on the ear is one. It does do something because I hear odd chipping noises and have pain when I use it.
The spirochete of Lyme Disease hates the heat and will make you miserable if you heat up your body. It flourishes in cooler temperatures. Sometimes when I'm in a fighting mood I put heating pads on the bottom of my feet, my ears and my knees until I am herxing so bad I can''t stand it anymore.

I had that tickle "that I think you're explaining" inside my face on both sides (towards the nose) but on my cheeks.
It felt as though something was turning over (like a worm sensation) and mostly in the mornings I'd feel it so strongly that every morning it woke me up about 5 am every day.
Since I've picked out most of the stuff from inside my "facial lesions and bumps"....that sensation is only now coming from one remaining lesion. I had 12! Now only 1 left and it's so full of "things" that it's like it's never ending.
There is so much stuff inside them. I don't know what it is...thin long strands of white stretchy stuff, fibers of many colors that move on their own, black tiny specks, perfect shaped white triangles that are as hard as plastic with a hair sticking off of them....but I've found by cleaning that out, that tickle has subsided greatly.
I don't have the "ear" sensations "yet"....but I know many do experience that. Are you taking any antiparasiticals?

I always handled this sensation in the ear with a little Campho-phenique on a Q-tip. I mix it with two parts of olive oil. Numbs the ear and seems to inhibit whatever is causing the sensation. Used to need to do this every day, but now it's more like once in a blue moon.

Do this 3x a DAY then as needed .. a little bit of Monistate cream on your pinky finger tip and then dab it into your ear paying close attention to the small piece of cartlage covering your ear ..
You will be able to then get small fibers out and in a few weeks it'll go away KEEP your ears DRY BONE dry . after each shower dry your ears and use the monistate cream . dry dry dry .. workes for me and no more head aches either . Moe

llm9180 -
I came to this board back around aug-sept of 06'. I was in a state of devine whirlwind ..er.. Shekinah (google it people.. sumerian gods..)... i mean.... uh.. a state of..SHOCK AND AWE...
and that lasted a petty month or two before I became a bit more rational in understanding that whatever was crawling through me was of intelligent design...
Think of a cat.. and it's first response to a vacuum cleaner being turned on.. the first time in it's entire life.. having not experienced anything like this.. the cat runs for cover.. and . .if ever the cleaning device is turned on again.. the cat is surely to register the sound as that of a threat and immediately the cat goes into fight-or-flee.. quickly choosing flee as it does not understand the noise.. it is overpowering and out of the cat's control so it adapts it's behavior to that of "HIDE FROM BIG NOISE".
The cat has no idea of the complex array of moto gears within the vacuum. It has no idea of the actual PURPOSE of the device... which actually in the end benefits the cat's environment...
It just hears the noise and runs and cries or both or whatever..
Compare this if you can.. with what you are experiencing...
I've had the sensation of crawling through my temples mainly.. crawling through my various body parts.. quivvering muscle spasms so strong that I can't accomplish specific tasks..
This phenomenon occurs daily.. everyy day.. all day long.. especially at night.. but there is always movement.
I sit at my job and I manage to get by.. doing what I need to do.. operating..
many times a week-month.. I imagine what and how the other people in my work environment would react like if thi happened to them. I could see them all going completely bonkers. Irational.. just flipping out...
This pushes me to be even more pressed to be in more control.. more pure with my own emotions in the workplace.. because I understand that IF this effects them all someday.. IIIII am going to be the only one that has ANY idea of how to handle that situation.... how to handle their emotional explosions etc...
and for some mumble jumble preachy bla bla read on...
But when it comes to the idea of being "scared" of this phenomena affecting me.. or letting it "drive me mad"..
I've come to one conclusion that has helped me sustain myself greatly...
and that is this...
just like the cat... we initially freak out.. whether internally or externally.. we freak.. it's not anything we're accustomed to. it's something completely foreign and alien in nature to what we currently have experienced.. so we tend to feel a great amount of FEAR through what we're experiencing.
My slant to this problem is this... We are in a situation just like tha cat.. faced with the initial alien sound of the booming vacuum cleaner. Yet we are not cats.. we are Humans. We can stay in fear of all this and its many foreign presentations of symptoms.. all we like.. if that's the totality of reactionary capability...
or...
we can realize ... that we do not have the SUFFICIENT INFORMATION available to us.. to judge whether this is a complete detriment to our being or not. We can imagine at length whatever sound theory is presented.. as logic points us to.. and that can result in greater fear.
Something I constantly remind myself of is this...
I don't know what's going on. Living in constant fear of this fact makes my life less enjoyable.
I can choose to let go of that fear knowing that whatever happens may happen.. but as long as I live... I can still let this go and be in the background of my everyday life.. and put MORE IMPORTANT THINGS in front of it in priority.. like..
being more kind to others..
doing random acts of kindness..
lessening the suffering in others lives...
finding time for myself to look beyond this and know that no matter WHAT... i've chosen the most harmonious way of living while constantly trying to improve myself.
regardlesss.. regardless if i am being afflicted.
.....
sounds utopian and idealic.. as it should.
i'm constantly reminding myself of using these ideals to push through my weaknesses and imperfectoins.
i dont practice them fully all day every day.. i just keep them in mind.. in order to not let this silly affliction hamper my way of being someone that gives and works for a better world.

I applied a little Arby's Horsey Sauce to just inside the outer ear canal very light and left it there. My ears began shedding and it felt very good. It seemed to improved my hearing too. My ears had felt blocked for so long. After I tried this they began to discharge and I had only a very positive outcome from this experiment! I am going to go a little deeper next time. Something in horseradish morg's hate!!!!!!!! lilsissy

Lilsissy, you just made me think of something, bringing up the horse radish effects on the morgs. Do you think dried would work in capsule form or some other way. Because it's pretty hard to take other wise. It is just an ideal and went looking for powdered. Found some! Any ideals on this everyone as to helping us? I don't have the time right now to do more. But would like any ideals. Thanks lilsissy for bringing that up again. Here's a site for powdered. www.savoryspiceshop.com/spices/horsepdr.html

Dearest lilsissy you must be very very careful with your ears. I have had a bad infection for two months. You must get your Doctor to get a lab test before you do anything Now please please asks her to check your ears out for Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. This is a very very bad infection caused by bacteria or fungus At first my doctor had given me sofradex but after the swab that she took of my ear she changed the ear drops to Vosol. There is another ear drop that is very good but very expensive $29 for a little bottle and I can not afford that. This is a horrid horrid thing so please take care and GO TO YOUR DOCTOR as soon as possible. Good luck love and best wishes. Robeerta. Please let me know how you get on with the Doctor. Lilssissy this thing could be the reason for all our problems!!!!! It is very important that you have a swab taken from your ear!!! In the interim use vaseline in your ears. It will help settle things down BUT IT DOES NOT GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!!. Love and best wishes. Roberta.

Dear Sammy apart from growing horse radish itself the very next .Thing is to buy it from the super market usually in a small jar It is excellent it is very hot and spicy and these things that we have "hate it" If you grow your own grate it and spreed it on a salad sandwich or sprinkle on steak or ground beef. It is much easier just to buy it in the jar and it does work. These things hate hot and spicy things like chillies garlic salt vinegar lemon juice mustard, pickles anything hot salty and spicy. Please believe me they hate all the above things. Good luck and best wishes. Roberta.

Dearest lilsissy yes they would react to that BUT IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU COULD DO PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR EARS!!! Please please listen to me!!!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!! and once again I will beg you to ask her for a swab from your ear. You can tell the Doctor that you have a friend in New Zealand who has had terrible trouble with her ears for a very long time and has only started to get better after the swab came up with Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. And that sofradex drops were no good and she changed the drops to Vosol. Dear one YOU MUST DO THIS!!!!!!For you healths sake. I still have itchy ears that really upset me but they are not nearly as bad as they got before I saw the Doctor!!!!!. IF YOU LET IT GO IT WILL GO ON AND ON AND ON! So does the damage to your ear AND IT WILL SPREAD TO THE REST OF YOUR BODY. Please believe me I have been through this for a long long time!!! Eleven and a half years. This things spreads!!!!!!!! Please please please take in what I am saying. Now the money thing here in New Zealand I can pay the Doctor off every week. I am sure because of the hippocratic oath they can not refuse to see you. If they do take your problem to the top. I don't know your Government or what you can do and cann't do. Here in New Zealand it would be the Ministry of Health you must have the equivilant lilssisy. Just do it!!!!!!!!! and please keep me informed on your progress. Good luck and much much love and best wishes. Roberta.

Dear llm1980, Seems like you got some good suggestions for your ears. Hope something works, as you sound really miserable. Keep us posted. I have a suggestion for your face, & neck you might want to try, if you haven't already. Take some apple cider vinegar, and add it to a container you've put baking soda in. Just add enough till it bubbles, & you have a thick enough liquid paste that will adhere to your face, chest, & the front, & back of your neck. This is really messy, so just slop it all over, & have a good time. Then take some white flour, & start rubbing it in your face, neck, & chest. I concentrate on one area at a time. As you start rubbing in the flour, parasites will start coming out all over. It's quite refreshing. Afterwords, you'll probably need to take a shower, & just soap it off. That's the quickest way. I'm not sure, or positive about the name of this horse paste, I think it's oxybendazole?? I'm sure somebody knows. It's the yellow paste. Put that on the places where you have problems, or know there are parasites there, & top that with DMSO which is only sold at the feed stores now, or on the internet. Go to bed,, say your prayers, & in the morning, you'll have lots of dead parasites to pick off. ;D Take care, freaky Prevenge, that was really cool what you wrote. Looks like you're a true Babe. Someday would you mind letting me know if you REALLY forgave me, so I can let go of this guilt trip that haunts my past?

Well Prevenge---sounds like a job for ASAP AGX32---especially if there is infection of any kind. What say you? I had the ear problem for a few years before I discovered the black , blue worms, fibers craweling around in there. I tried every thing--peroxide just made it worse then I disvovered the ASAP silver and also neem oil helps...camphorated oil is very good also. I have not cured the problem because the worms come from within..but it put one heck of a dent in them.. I do this every day and check the q-tip with my microscope...there used to be 9-10 on the cotton tip now I only find one on ocasion. I would really like to find someone with a leasion that won't heal and cover it with a gause pad soaked in ASAP and kept that way for a day or two..or longer... The ASAP will kill every thing...Or should. I also took 2400 mg of fenbendazole over three days--800 mg per day in my yorgert...granuals It can be bought at almost any pet store. under heart guard brand.... the Ivermectin, you need an RX for and that seems to be the kicker that I need. I have not yet been able to try it.
