I have been doing alot of research around my house wanting to find out where this is coming from( I am sure we all have done things like this). Anyhow I have been cleaning out my house from all carpet and things like that to feel a little more safe from these Bugstards. During doing this I have found yellow peddles that are when micro scoped the same bugstards that I have been seeing in many of my pictures that I take also I have noticed that orangery-yellowish pointy-sticks have coming from the same places that I have found the peddles. What I did was took my carpet and pored liquid Borax on it and washed it down with the hose. I was very surprised to see what I saw- It was orange larva/white eggs/yellow peddles and the sticks-when you touched the sticks they would not let go of the carpet unless pulled very hard. Then I checked out the air conditioning unit , it was covered with the lint and all the about. I cleaned it out ( it took 4 hours) then I decided to wash the dishes in the dishwasher , I noticed that the dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes so I took the dishwasher apart to clean it and by God the same bugs were in their. I am getting really freaked out -wanting to burn my house down with everything in it (besides my family) and let them start all over. But I know that they will most likely come right back. MAN! whats a girl to do? It was the weirdest thing. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? Id like to hear about other peoples experiences and how they think that they got this sickening bugs.

I have seen those stick looking things all over. They almost look like grass. I have white tile floor so I thought it was grass from outside. I have a pool and when the kids come in they get grass all over there feet and it gets on my floor. These things are tracked in with the grass. The stick lookig things are everywhere.

tinker, Some of the other places I've cleaned that you might want to look into are the washing machine and the kitchen faucet.
I took the center of the washer apart and cleaned it along with fabric softener holder.
Our kitchen sink has the extending faucet/sprayer. There's a little filter that can be popped out and cleaned. That one really grossed me out.
The fridge/freezer is a major problem area. I don't know how it gets "stuff" in there so quickly.
I've seen those stick-grass looking things for a long time now. In our old house and our new one. I know it sounds silly. I'm sure some folks are probably thinking.... duh, it's grass....but it's a different consistency and shaped different than the St. Augustine grass we have.
I've also seen something that's hair-like and tapered at the end. It had little extensions that looked like this >> The clincher with that was..... over a year ago my husband and I watched one of these move ever so slowly across the kitchen counter. I found a few more after that on the garage floor and I put them in a film canister with a drop of water. Many months later I opened one of them and they were still there. The drop was still the same size, but became an oily substance that stuck to the plastic and didn't move when I tipped it from side to side.
The good that came from it was.... it was the first time my husband stopped an really took notice and paid attention. He had never seen anything like it and was dumbfounded. I was validated.

Dito, me too. Seen both and experienced really bad things when cleaning just like u did tinker. I know it comes back but its good to clean it. I wish I didn't have any carpet. We rent so no choice now. I am just not sure where it's coming from. I have idea's of how it could work but it's so far fetched I just keep changing my mind about it. That crap really gets in the family socks doesn't it?
