Went to thanksgiving at my daughter's house. I try really hard to avoid dogs since they lick and walk on the soil outside. I knew her dog would end up giving her morgellons. She had spots open crators (she tried hard to cover them up) on forehead, two on cheek, 1 on neck, and top of hand and inner part of wrist (the lines were on the inner wrist) Note: those lesions on her face were "pimples" according to her 3 months ago and she would not let me look at them then closely at that time.He husband had two lesion on his fingers. He told me my daughter is always itching and night. I never wanted her to have this dog as I knew it would increase her risk of getting morgellons. At thanksgiving, I DID NOT mention her "pimples/acne". But I did keep my distance from her dog. As the dog would walk past certain lighting conditions (i.e., a window, or lamp)........... I could see all the white stuff flying off of him as he walked past those visual places. Received a call yesterday from daughter:Her dog just took ill. Layed down and was not normal. My daughter works for a vet. (I didnt like that job choice either) so she immediately took him and he was full of tumors on the ultrasound? maybe it was fiber clusters? The spleen bursted and he was bleeding internally. Nothing could be done to save him. She took him home on IV therapy (fluids only and pain meds). He then died in the morning. The vet said these "things" were everywhere on every organ in his body. It was the ruptured spleen that killed him. OK, last week I saw so many white things just jumping out of his coat as he would walk. I can see the environmental "signs of morgellons" black specs on counter tops, strange balls of lint. She also has a few cats. During dinner, she said she wakes up at night with difficulty breathing. The doctor said she was allergic to the cat hair and gave her an inhaler. I feel helpless, I warned her but she didn't want to listen. I did tell her that I saw the white things jumping off her dog on Thanksgiving Day when I was there. I knew he was ill. She is in complete denial. She is in Nursing school, and I'm afraid. Perhaps I am over reacting. But those pimples in the same places 3 months ago were not pimples. Perhaps because I don't have lesions, just now and then......... she disregards my warnings. Its her life and I don't preach to her. I am pretty sure morgellons killed her dog. But I won't tell her that. This disease is horrible, affecting innocent children, animals, and telling the adults they are crazy. While at the vet, they drew blood and it was black, thick and grainy? ?? Vet said it was because it was not oxygenated. I saw this black grainy liquid coming from a patient in the Nursing home with Lesions all over his body, early onset parkinson's, he was age 50. Could not eat or swallow. The black grainy liquid was from his feeding tube. The feeding tube stopped up due to a block somewhere in his intestines. I sent him to the hospital. He was there about one month on IV antibiotics. When he came back to the nursing home. They gave him 30 days to live. Had an inoperable tumor in his lower abdomen. Actually, they didn't know what he had. He never died withing the 30 days. Without the antibiotics, his lesions returned. What is the black grainy stuff? I know when I have a lesion and fool with it, it has black dots in it.

When Julie from the CDC was on C-span, after her questioning...........
they questioned a Dr. Daum. He is a professor at the University of Chicago. He spoke of a child with necrotizing pnemonia and MRSA and brought with him slides because he was baffled after this child died from MRSA to find the adrenal gland (above the Kidney) was bleeding internally.
He stated "this is strange" "I've NEVER seen anything like this before" and "the CDC needs to make the public more aware of what he stated to be and epidemic with "FLOCKS" yes he did indeed say "FLOCKS" of patients both children and adults with "lesions" MRSA.

Hi Kmarie, This is so apparent in this illness. Two Christmases ago I had a large lump in my back up between my shoulder blades. I could feel it if I leaned back on a chair. I also had trouble swallowing.I was sure I had a tumor. My husband and I ran out of Para herbs and so we took a few yeast cleanse tabs, only because they had a lot of the herbs that were the same. We herxed our heads off and wala I choked up a large 3 inches of black yuk. The lump went away. Don't get it. Now recently at Kaiser they have been on a witch hunt for tummors in me somewhere, a test came back that usually means liver tumors, I had ultra and then cat scan , no tummors. But still have one more Dr to go to. I also passed a large mass of black junk after preping for a sigmoud scope, lots of liquid laxatives.I think this stuff has tumor making properties. For the last two weeks I have been taking Pomagranate like crazy and now my eyes are herxing little worms so bad I had to stop for a few days, but I must say my hubby and I feel better. He has it the worst in his lungs. Coughs like crazy, he was diagnosed with COPD 5 years ago, I believe the lung spots were his morgellons showing up. Remember I have been ill 12 years now, lots of lessions and all of the symptoms. But if I cover as many sores as I can at night with round bandaides the worms don't crawl over me and make me itch. I still think it is a water borne parasite from global warming. Sandra

Kmarnie, I'm in a terrible state, I'm on the edge of sheer panic, nothing will quell this fear I'm feeling, my children have this. I feel like quitting my job and driving us all somewhere for help, but where? Your story is what I know is happening to me, I'm dying.

Grady,
We are not dying. We are ill. Her dog was out in the dirt all the time (going potty). He was exposed so often by sniffing the ground/soil. That is why it got to him.
Please don't feel you are dying. There is much hope, really there is! There is strength in numbers and there are alot of us.
Don't run away. Please remain strong. Keep your mental attitude healthy and the body will follow. Please DO NOT accept this disease as a death sentence, because it is not. One of my friends has had this over 10 years and is still working.
I hear on this board others have had it even longer.
Don't give in to your fear.
You know that your children need you and that will keep you going.
I'm sorry, never meant to frighten you.
The CDC reads this board and I wanted them to know this is important and needs urgent attention.
Love will get us thru this.
Love for your children will keep you strong.

I have something to say to each post here.
Kmarie,
I agree about the animals. I had just gotten a pup from the local pound 1 month before I came down with full blown Lyme. But I was bitten by a tick 3 years prior so I don't know for sure, but I am the one that bathed the dog and even though I do love her I am hesitant to pet her. I'm sure she senses it. It makes me feel real guilty. She was a gift to my 8 year old granddaughter who we raise.
socalsandy, I too have a lump near the same area but not in the middle of the shoulder-blades, towards the right shoulder-blade and extending under it. It bothers me quite a bit. It is about 3" in diameter. When I apply heat it vibrates or hums and that drives me crazy. I am curious about the yeast cleanse, can you tell more about it.
Both my husband and I have the eye critters all the time and he was diagnosed with COPD about 4 years ago.
We seem to have a lot in common.
grady,
I was in your shoes a short time ago. You can take control in some ways that will improve your situation. I don't know what you are doing now or what point you are at in this nightmare but here are a few things that I did that seemed to help. All of the following are inexpensive and are most helpful of the many things I tried.
1. I was sure my granddaughter had this because she seems to be annoyed by things in her eyes and I checked out a scab she had on the microscope. It did contain the familiar fibers. That said, she has never showed signs of unexplained lesions and can and does run fevers. Most of us with Morgellons never run fevers and carry a very low everyday temperature, my new normal is 96.7. So take note of any temps in the kids, it is a good sign. She also has had pus in a small burn that didn't heal well, and pus is again something most Morgellon's folk don't have for some unknown reason. I still think she may well have this but her system must be a bit better at fighting it off.
2. Cover all the mattresses in your household with plastic zipper covers. I also covered the box springs. Buy new or cover pillows. I removed bedroom carpeting. Be very careful of running humidifiers, it's best not to.
3. Turn up the temp of your hot water tank being careful because of the kids. Add a few drops of bleach to your dishwater and just about all cleaning water. Also, I bath in it. I know some say not to do this but it was the first thing that gave me some peace. I started by just filling a small bit of hot-hot water in the tub and soaking my feet for a bit then add up to2 cups. I slowly added more over time. I only add bleach to a few baths per week. I have never added bleach to the granddaughters bath but have added a drop or 2 of antimicrobial dishsoap.
4. Animals that are free to roam outside have to be kept somewhat separate from the kids. We allow our dog to play with the grandkids but they have been taught to wash and sanitize their hands afterwords. At night the dog stays in the utility room.
5. Within a few months of realizing I had Lyme I had to face the fact that I needed treatment or I would loose the ability to walk. I had seen many doctors and not one would acknowledge the Lyme. I was panicking even before I realized I had Morgellon's!
After much agonizing I made a decision to self-treat. That is what saved my legs. I did finally find a Lyme doc but have never been treated for Morgellon's. The treatments for Lyme has helped control the Morgellon's. I read and researched then made decisions of what meds I needed and I went online and ordered them. I would do it all over again. When it comes right down to it we have been left to our own devices so as drastic as it sounds you are your own best friend and doctor with this. Do what you think is right but first research everything. Find the proper meds and dosages.
Don't bother driving all over the place because there is no such utopia that you can go to get treatment and answers for Morgellon's. We have all been taught to run to our doctors for medical advice all of our lives so it is hard to take this on yourself. But that is the only way for now.
Good Luck All, Karen from Michigan

Very well said, KMarie, I have my moments with feeling that I was dying slowly. There were times, during some of the awful stages of this monster we call Morgellons, I prayed to die, those times just overcome with isolation and dispair and hopelessness. I try to keep positive, pray and know that I have the best friends one could hope for through this board and all of you are always here for each other. We are ever so special. May God give us the strength to fight to live each day the best we can. Love You Guys, Flutterby

I feel like quitting my job and driving us all somewhere for help, but where? Your story is what I know is happening to me, I'm dying. Grady...you are one reason why this board is SO VERY IMPORTANT!!! Slow down, breath and DON'T make any major decisions. Don't pack your kids up and go nowhere...there really isn't any where for you to go. Please know that this phase of your disease realization will pass and you are in the right place. Hold on, try to talk to as many of us as possible to help you through where you are right now. I did a lot of things at the onset of my disease that I can look back on today and realize how much it hurt me instead of help me and my kids. Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask people for help whether in pm's or publicly on the board. No one will think your questions or concerns are stupid or not important as we've all been EXACTLY where you are, as hard as that is to believe and we all know how terrifying it is in the beginning. Remember..."this too shall pass!!!" Kmarie...sorry about the dog and your family.

I put sulphur, the kind you get at the feed store, powder form. I rub it in their fur and it has helped tremendously. My littlest pom was constantly itching very badly. It was sort of cute tho, she would growl and rub her tail on furniture and she's so little, she would have to sort of jump up and kinda backwards to reach the chair rungs to scratch herself, and she would growl and bark. But I started putting the sulphur on her and she hardly itches now. I have only put it on her 3 times, but she has just about quit scratching. I put it on my shih tzu for itchy ears and she's better too. I'm thinking of rubbing in my scalp on my day off. Can't go to work like that of course. My horsetrainer friend, it was one of the secret ingredients in his bot fly stuff he made. Topically used on the horses for botts.

Dear godog thank you for that very very useful information on the sulphur powder for your dogs coat. As soon as possible I will see if I can get it from the chemist. I wonder how expensive it is. You have small dogs I have on giant pony Dog Does it do any damage to them if they lick it off? Does it make their coats dull and dry? Thank you sooo much for your post. Best. Roberta.

Well, I am very careful not to get it in their eyes, or let them breathe it. I just have used not that much, only on problem areas, which, for them was ok, as they can't lick in those spots that I put it on. I really used it pretty sparingly and it still worked. It's High Yield brand, for fruits and veggies and flowers, so I guess it's not too dangerous then. I had bought a bunch of stuff, so I can't remember price. I can mail you some to try if you pm your address. It's for garden use, so I imagine it's pretty cheap. But If you have a problem getting it where you are I will be happy to mail some as I got quite alot.

Well, I have had this for many, many years. I almost croaked a few years ago, pnuemonia just about got me. I am 52 and have always worked, and always worked very physical jobs. Never a sitdown job. I get alot of exercise on the job and am quite muscular, even tho I probably should lose 20 lbs. I feel the amount of exercise I get is one reason that I'm not dead. It's been hard the last few years, and I would love to be on disability, just so I could have a life outside of work. But I sometimes think it's work that keeps me as strong as I am. I think I read somewhere that exercise is good for lyme, I think I read that possibly. But anyway, I do think the exercise helps ALOT!!!!! Good for the brain too. I just am too tired to even worry. So, even though we are tired, it's not going to kill us to get out and run or bike or go bowling, or a job that is physical. I run my a** off at work and carry heavy loads for hours everyday. And I am actually quite happy too. I know this is going to kill me. But, I have to die of something. So I get up tired and go to work, and work hard and I do a good job too. I'm not lazy at work. Here at the house, another story. Ha! I put off housework if I want. But I really think all this exercise has helped me fight morgellons. Morgellons ain't for p*ssies, that's for sure.

Dear godog I am sure that you are very right about excercise. fortunately I used to be a very very active person. that is slowly lessening almost every week. I don't like it. i am falling asleep on the couch in the afternoon. Not like me at all. But fortunately I have always had dogs and they need their walks. That has inspired me to walk Kyra everyday. She loves her walks and paddles in the river that i just couldn't let her down and I do feel better after our walks it releases the endorphines in our brain which gives us a lift. I looked up sulphur on the net and it does seem good. I have heard about it before of people putting pinch in their dogs drinking water. So Kyra and myself walked up in the pouring rain (Kyra loves the rain) I don't!! The head chemist wasn't there apparantly it has to be made up by the chemist. So we got drenched for nothing. Still it did us both good. She just loves to be towel dried and we have tugs of war with the towel. Godog YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DIE OF THIS THING!!!! just take one day at a time. And remember that there are people on the administration of this board and posters who are going up every avenue to help us and I am sure that they will get awnsers!!!!! Hang in there!!!!! Much love. Roberta.

Kmarie I'm sorry for the stress you must feel, you know that you know but our children find this so hard to believe. My oldest believes me but tells me it's 100% because I smoke, my middle daughter has it. Dr.Matthews put the proscope on her skin in front of a reporter and all the small lesions had the fibers in them. She knows it's real but because she is not having any symptoms, she thinks it's "nothing" big to worry about. I fear the day that she gets fullblown and worry about her non-stop. She has already started getting slowed down and is gaining a lot of swelling weight. Dr. Matthews said let her enjoy the deniel bliss. And my youngest daughter saw it first hand when her brother was in the hospital. When she put her hand on his chest, nothing. But when I put my hand on his chest and then took it away there was still be a bright red hand on his chest., my hand burned him. I pulled my hand away fast because it started burning and we saw what happend at the same time. She turned white as a sheet and said she knew with all her heart something was very wrong. The nurse just bounced her sholders, like nothing. I didn't push and fight Morgellons with the staff there. I wonder now if I screamed. Would it have helped? But then i remember all the mom's who have lost custody because they pushed it. My heart breaks for them and my fear of not having my son with me was to much.

godog it is because I love you all and feel so close and connected to you. We all have sooooo much in common. I don't feel that I am alone anymore!!! From the bottom of my heart I feel that I am in contact with THE BEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!!!! and we are always here for each other AND WE UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER and know what each one is going through. We do not ridicule anyone. We have a common purpose and that is to get to the bottom of this terrible terrible shocking thing and we will!!!!!!! The administrators and scientists on the board know much much much more than me. Everyone will get sick and tired of me saying this but I am so very very sure that we have more than one thing. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME SO FAR IS THIS WRETCHED WRETCHED PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA in my ears and I am sure through out my body. I am hoping the administration or someone will investigate this in depth. I wonder if a Veterinary Doctor would help. I am very pleased that a Vet has become involved with that poor poor family and dogs and horses . I know that he has found lots of parisites in the humans and animals. I hope and pray that if he finds an awnser to these poor people that he will get i n volved with us and look into our condiction. I think that Sidney may follow through with this. When we are down and feel very very much alone for a little time we forget about the board and wallow in our condition. I DO!!!! and then the board comes into my mind and I really really mean I feel that I am at home Like when you press the home button. Well I must get to bed. Much love to all. Robereta.

This post is so comforting , I am going to save the whole thing and read it often. As far as the yeast cleanse goes : to Karen from Michigan, it is from solarray. I don't have the bottle any more. I am going to get more this month, I will post all ingredients for you. The very first Herb Doctor in Carlsbad prescribed it for me, that was 10 years ago. Back when he thought I had something , but said it was combination of illnesses. He gave me Oregon Root and Thyme oil too ,Thyme white if you can get it is powerful stuff, it burns the lessions off.
