MY FRIDAY STORY Attitude Author unknown Submitted by Emma Jo Krause
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today?" So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today?" So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. "Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YEA!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..........freaky

Freaky that was great, loved it. Remember when we were kids and we'd have a spring rain, run out in it to play, man that was fun and felt so good. And mud pies out the youhoo. My children thought I'd lost my mind when i suggested making mud pies, playing in the rain and even snow ice cream. Things sure have changed. Hey I wonder what that snow ice-cream could have done to me.

I used to make mud shakes and really whip'm up good and they always looked so good and so I'd try them, and they always tasted like wet dirt!! Haha. After a few I learned just to make them, and not try to eat them. But we stayed outside all the time and were constantly chewing on stuff. We used to chew tar even.

ATTITUDE! ATTITUDE! WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY ATTITUDE !!! DAMMIT WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY ATTITUDE? I ASK YOU... HAHAHA and a little.......... teehee
Seriously, Freaky that is sweet... Reminds me of when we used to go up my alley and swing accross the creek on the big rope. Rain, sunshine, snow...it didn't matter... It was nothing but a blast and it just doesn't happen anymore. I took my Grandkids up that same alley during this past summer just to check it out and they were blown away.. This is where you hung out as a kid? What was so fun about it? Being outside and swinging accross the creek and hanging out like you kids should be able to do .......... that's what... instead of being scared that someone was going to kidnap us and all that ugly crap going on. I have to say that the kids do not have it as good as we used to have it back in the day. Thanks freaky for that trip down great memory lane!
Oh, and I'll try and change my attitude...teehee Laur

Those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end. Sure enough they did. Where my grandchildren are concerned I am the biggest woosey coward on the planet. When a granddaughter who lives nearby (thank you, God) was about five years old she wanted me to sleep outside with her on an upstairs balcony. Steps lead from the Kool Deck to the upstairs balcony. No way would I sleep outside with a child. Ended up both her parents, the granddaughter and I slept up there. I'm definitely too old for camping out and sleeping on a pallet. Granddaughter thought it was the best night of her life.
