Photo by OFELIA GARCIA HUNTER Haz-Mat team cleans up teller lane after woman threatens staff Ofelia Garcia Hunter, Alice Echo-News Journal A woman claiming to have Morgellons, a skin disease, drove through the Wells Fargo motor bank downtown and threatened the tellers by rubbing the bank canister on her sores and sending it through the tube. "A customer went through the drive-thru and threatened the bank staff to give them a contagious disease," said investigator David Valadez with the police department. Police said the lady, who was not identified and has not been arrested, had threatened the bank before. About 2 p.m. Tuesday, the woman threatened the tellers at the motor bank with her disease called Morgellons. Police and the fire department blocked off about four lanes and the Alice Fire Department Haz-Mat team suited up and decontaminated the area, including the bank canister she apparently rubbed on her sores and the lane she used, police said. According to the Internet, "Morgellons is an unexplained and debilitating condition that has emerged as a public health concern…Persons who suffer from this condition report a range of coetaneous symptoms including crawling, biting and stinging sensations; granules, threads or black speck-like materials on or beneath the skin; and/or skin lesions (e.g., rashes or sores) and some sufferers also report systemic manifestations such as fatigue, mental confusion, short term memory loss, joint pain and changes in vision." The woman is facing criminal trespassing and charges of making terroristic threats.

Wowie!!!
I first sort of chuckled as I read this, because I could feel the situation, and totally understand how she could be driven to the point of doing that!
GOOD for her! I am actually glad she did it. I feel badly she's in trouble, which I wonder how the law really is going to work with that one?
Any doctors examining her probably will say she's DOP which is what the courts would preceive as true, but I hope that gets so much attention that people will open their eyes to the facts that something really is lurking amongst them - and people around them, and they better do something.
Thank you very much Sid.

Tonie-Sue, I'm right there with you. Can't help feeling sorry for the woman as no doubt she is right on the edge.
My guess is she'll receive a fine, and perhaps will be provided guest facilities at the expense of the State or County, for a minimum of seventy two hours.
If she should happen to get lucky someone with a brain will actually examine her skin and listen to her. We can only hope.
Browncircles, I'll inquire about the windows, but I have first dibs on extra household help! After me you can be first. ;D

So sad really, I can understand her frustration, but in the long run,
it "makes us look crazy"................ which is the goal of DOP.

Someone forgot to contact the CDC. The Haz-Mat team would have been told that DoP is not contagious unless the woman was in contact with the bank tellers with her Blackberry, since Morgellons can only be spread through the Internet.
That poor woman was probably driven to despair by an uncaring physician or someone with a degree in dermatology.

Great story, thanks Sid, I'm so happy every time it makes the news, good or bad it gets out there. They will most likely follow up with a story stating this lady is DOP, but those bank tellers and everyone in that town will always wonder every time they get a itch. And soon, very soon, everyone will know someone who has it, and they will all know it's because CDC dragged their feet.
Speaking of people with Morgellons over the edge. I think the reporter who did my story might be giving my phone number (office line) out.
I've got many calls from folks on my home line, about 1/2 don't have Morgellons but want to try and heal me.
Example: Caller-I woke up with a rash about the size of a quarter on my belly, it itched till I thought I'd go out of my mind, so I know how you feel Sue. I know I had what you have and I healed it in one day, do you want to know how?
Me- Do you have fibers? do you feel crawling on or under your skin?
Caller- No but I had what you had because it itched so bad I missed work.
Me- Folks with Morgellons have the fibers, thats the hallmark of Morgellons but I'm very glad to hear your rash is better.
Caller- Do you want my help or not?
Me- Thank you for the offer but I'm much better now, been on treatment over 3 years, very few lesions left. I did the story because I want to get the word out that this is a horrific disease and Doctors need to take this very serious because people are suffering. And I want folks suffering alone, being told by doctors that they are crazy, that they are not alone at all. There is over 10,000 of us registered and I'd bet 100,000. that don't know what they have, just suffering alone and being called crazy.
Caller- Well I can tell you that I know I had the very same thing because I had the same symptoms as you have but I found the cure and I'll give it to you.
Me- The very same symptoms?
Caller- Yes a itchy rash that drove me crazy, it was big as a quarter, do you want the cure or not?
Me- Well yes, sure (by then I was ready to scream)
Caller- OK you take two vit. C at bed time with a full glass of water (forget how many units she said to take) And in the morning it will be gone, I'm surprised you people haven't figured that out.
Anyway thats about how most calls have gone but there have also been many that do have Morgellons and it's so heartbreaking to hear almost the very same story over and over and not be able to really give hope. But I do tell them that there is hope. And I suggest they call a Lyme doctor.
It's been hard, I have to keep in mind just how I felt those first 18 months and it was hell, wishing to die in my sleep, begging God to keep me alive to take care of Josh, praying that he let me go with Josh because I didn't think my heart could take it with a broken body. I was sure I'd go insane the moment I lost him, but I have you good folks and I could almost feel your hands on my back, pushing me to sleep, eat and survive, I thank you. I'm so blessed to have you folks and a good family and I sure know that.
I'm so sorry I got so long winded there. I really wanted to tell you about this guy that called and my brain got so side tracked, sorry.
Anyway a man called about two weeks ago from N.J., called my office line and no one has that number so that was odd.
He has been through pure hell, he's very angry at this point, has lost his job, his home, his car, his family, you know the story all to well.
He was seeing a group of 8 doctors, most told him he was DOP, then when he went in one day he saw the newest very young doctor in the group. This doctor was the first to even want to look at his lesions with a hand held scope he had offered the others to use many times.
The new doctor said I don't know what that is but I'm willing to try and treat the symptoms until CDC gets this figured out because I can see that you are in misery. He put him on cream for scabies and gave medication for the itching. Yep it got worse.
Well he got no relief and made another appointment, when he got there they told him he would be seeing another doctor and it was not the young one willing to treat. So he stood his ground and said he would only see the young one. They told him that doctor was no longer working there, he was gone.
He said he went out of his mind right there in the waiting room, they called the police and he was escorted out. The group told him to never come back, they will no longer see him. He told them to chuck off cause they weren't doctors anyway.
He was still so steamed when he called me and he really freaked me out.
He said soon, very soon, you will hear about something bad happening to a group of doctors, I've got my plans, they will pay. You will know it's me because it will be 8 doctors in New Jersey, the police will know it was me to.
That was to much for me. I tried to calm him down, give him hope and told him many of us are not cured but feeling much better, we can at least function now. I suggested he try a Lyme doctor and to ask if they treat Morgellons on the phone. But he's so angry. I really hope he never calls again cause I don't want this man getting mad at me for any reason.
I've had a few people I've told ask me why I haven't called the police to report this guy. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm still wondering what I should do.
But mostly this is why- We all get nuts at that stage, something we can't fend off has taken over our body's and we can't function much less think or plan something out.
Hell it would take me hours to balance my checkbook, I'd cry doing it over and over and over and still get it wrong, a very simple thing had become so hard to do.
I don't think I could have planned a trip to get grocery's much less something like that.
If he was put in jail, oh I can't even think of that. I don't think this poor man would survive that and I don't want to be the cause of him being put away.
We all get angry and run our mouth, how many times in life have we said, Oh I'm so mad I could kill you, sounds crazy huh, but we sure don't mean it, just words, (mostly said to husbands) he he.
I don't know, what would you do? This guy gave me his number and address, he wanted me to send him my samples, no way.
So yea this lady was having a real bad day, it's part of Morgellons, I hope she's not punished for it. Just blowing off steam. I'm sure there is more to the story and my heart breaks for her.
She reached her breaking point, I really don't think anyone with Morgellons could ever really wish this on someone and mean it.
But I bet ya those tellers are reading and talking about Morgellons now. Getting the word out.

Browncircles- Chuckle at your wit.
K-Marie- I agree we can understand her frustration but in the long run it doesn't help the group. I don't understand the criminal tresspassing charge. I guess she wasn't actually conducting business with the bank and therefore tresspassing.
She must feel pretty frustrated to want to give Morgellons to some innocent person. When I was in a stage(of whatever I had)that felt contagious I was concerned (like most of us) about not giving it to someone else--well, maybe a dermatologist.
"Charges of making terrorist threats"--that's pretty heavy. Yes, K-Marie, you can keep posting this link because Namoi Wolf has made some valid parallels with our current situation in this country since the staging of 911.
Even "Homeland Security" has a Nazi ring to it. Think I must associate it with an old movie where they sang to the homeland in their mother tongue. Thanks, Sidney, for posting. glad to see you back. Are you feeling better?

Sue- That wasn't too long; it was interesting to read.
Also- you mentioned people starting to know about Morgellons. Coincidentally I sat at the restaurant counter tonight next to a gentleman who turned out to be a dentist. Seems he has a patient who claims to have Morgellons. Small world. I really must tone down my dinner conversation. Oh well--just call me an ambassador. I tried to slip in the towers, chemtrails and Lyme, too, all in the same meal.

Sue,
Very much enjoyed your post....................always do and find you well informed and intelligent.Betsy, The charges of trespassing goes with Naomi Wolf's lecture. Her lecture is coming to be reality more and more as the NEWS is proving her lecture to be correct. She predicted that "Americans" will indeed be charged with being "terrorist"....all in the plan for "whatever is going to become of America". I could not help myself from posting her lecture again. I find it frightening and believe it could very well be the END OF AMERICA as she discusses. In her lecture, she does explain that there are things now that we can do to prevent this ridiculousness (sp) that is happening RIGHT NOW before it is too late. I just can't urge everyone enough to take the time to read her book "End of America"
or listen to her lecture she did in Seatle, WA.To Listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjALf12PAWc

In an earlier post, I was shocked that when I called my Local Health Department to ask if Morgellons is needed to be "reported" in this county and he said he would get back to me after he contacted some resources.
He emailed me back and it was a forwarded email where he failed to erase the name of his "resource person".
That resource person was the Head of HOMELAND SECURITY here in Southern Indiana.
I am glad he failed to "erase" the name of his resource person. It gave me something to really think about.
Morgellons and Homeland Security?
Why is it that when confronted with the word MORGELLONS, he contacted HOMELAND SECURITY and said the CDC never told him anything about Morgellons?
Homeland Security is also discussed in Naomi's lecture and book.

JWF,
I agree with your post!
Why all the protective gear?
Did they contact the CDC or didn't they? I would love to know the answer.
