Does anyone use a home ozone generator? I think I am going to have to move back to the house that I ran away from in Dec. I am scared to death, but don't have much choice. I know that ozonators kill mold (which is one of the ingredients that kicked my M into gear - along with digging in the garden, bird mites, immunity suppression medication for MS - hey a "perfect storm"!) and I at least want to get rid of that. I don't think ANYONE knows if it has any effect on whatever the ORIGINAL thing is that causes this - I think it is smart dust that then finds all kinds of vectors to zero-in on it's victim. At the very minimum, it seems, if it can kill the variety of vectors - mites, mold, bacteria, whatever, then there might be a chance that I can live there again. Any thoughts? Bessie

hello bessie, i lost my home to the mold fungus. it took over my home, including electronics, clothes, beds, garage, ceilings, floors, walls, EVERYTHING.... I walked away with the clothes on my back. The fear you express, I know it all too well. I would not move back there even if it was mortgage free. I'm letting the bank have it. Mold fungus and all. If you are going to move back in, to get some peace of mind your going to have to spend about 2800.00 dollars. But this is the king of mold re mediators. 28,000 milligrams of ozone per hour. To treat a home, you leave it on for 24 hours, and you cannot be in the home for another several hours until all ozone dissipates. Also has a lower setting to pump safe amounts of ozone while you are in the house. Unfortunately, I was not able to get one.

I tried an ozone machine for awhile, but it didn't help much. Course, mine was a real cheapo, only 170 bucks. I've read about good results from other people here tho and a good friend of mine who used to visit the board had great results with hers. It was more powerful a unit than the one I had tho. I'd say if you can afford it, get a good one and you may get the results you're looking for. Sorry I can't help anymore than that!
Hang in there girl ~~ bannanny

hughs - Was the mold visible? I'm not even SURE there is mold there, just figuring. And who the hell knows what Morgs look like, in all it's seemingly infinite forms. I am strongly of the opinion that the beginnings of it are subatomic particles. And then, of course, will ozonators destroy that? I am currently in an old mobile home in FL - NOTORIOUS for mold issues! The rainy weather is coming - I have to run again, without many options. And just the "ghosts" of what happened to me there are enough to make my heart stop beating. But I have to go somewhere. Bessie ps - at least 2 doctors who treat M's use ozonators in their clinics....
