the report showed a white womans' pic as dr. michele pearson!
i think i'd go for hormonal unbalance instead of 'super smoker's voice. i see more and more women with facial hair.
morgellons infection COULD BE the reason she looks unhealthy
instead of the judgement "another very unhealthy looking person GETS morgellons..... and of course......she smokes...."
in my opinion..........very silly judgement on your part

i would wager "one million dollars" that this station ranks in the lower if not lowest ratings in their area. to boost ratings they resort to "carnival sideshow" "if it bleeds it leads" tactics to boost their ratings. if you were the head editor, would you have allowed this to be aired?

Thanks Prevenge Thats my area San Diego. i found all those white things coming out of her skin very interesting but not so sure they are worms. Although it did resemble tape worm. Does anyone else have the white stuff come out of their skin?

Yes, from my lesion, daily tons of it comes out.
But...what's odd is it appears to crystalize after a few seconds... That's why I still can decipher whether it's animal or just "some foreign stuff"....like man made stuff. It "acts" like animal, meaning "alive" but I sure don't know what it is.

Hey, Prevenge, I have to pick at you for saying that woman had a typical smoker's voice.
I know women who smoke who sound like they're ten or twelve years old and they're in their sixties.
I suppose the deep or husky voice sure can be caused by smoking, but it many cases the voice is likely to be "inherited" or in the case of deep, husky, can be caused by hormonal imbalance or even damage to the vocal cords which is exactly what happened to me. (thyroidectomy and no doubt the anesthesiologist caused the damage.)
For the longest time I could barely be heard then as time went on my voice got stronger , but I have very little range-pitch.
Just one more thing to deal with and even though I "croak" I can at least be heard, but screaming is impossible, as it's just not an option anymore.
Most of us who are smokers would prefer not to be.

Thanks, Friski. I'm sorry too, bui it could be worse. My brother had a leg amputated right after my surgery, and my husband's sister is losing a leg on the 28th of May. (Both of them diabetics) so loss of normal voice is merely an annoyance compared with their loss, or the loss of a child, spouse, best friend, much loved pet, etc., etc.

guys, being a smoker has everything in the world to do with this .. (yes some small exceptions) .. but 99.9% of morgellons people smoke... as far as my experience in knowing and talking to people. it's what smoking does to the body... ..that and sedentary lifestyle to allow this to develop. oh .. and i will see you your 1mil and raise you 1mil if anyone can find for me.. someone who.. works out every day, eats impeccably healthy.. drinks tons of water.. has no unhealthy habits... AND .. has morgs.. notice people who used to be on this board.. who got super healthy.. are back to normal? -M

Prevenge I diagree with your statement about smoking... and Morgellons. I have not smoked in over 12 years , I was a runner doing 5 miles a day and I worked out and was on a high protein diet ... when I moved back to New England from Florida less than 3 yrs ago I still maintained a healthy lifestle and all of a sudden I started with the symptoms ... I agree something set it off but it was not for the reasons you stated... stress maybe.... more stress maybe... depression maybe.... but not smoking............

I can here their mamas right now.
"Phillip Morris get your cigarette butts over here!"
A glyphosate-tolerant tobacco cell line, Nicotiana tabacum L. Indiana (I7), was selected from the glyphosate-sensitive Wisconsin 38 (W38) line through a single step exposure to the herbicide. Tolerance and growth characteristics of I7 cells were the same for cells maintained for more than 1 year in the presence or absence of glyphosate. Glyphosate tolerance levels were constant through the growth cycle. Tolerance is not due to reduced uptake of glyphosate. Shikimate levels in I7 and W38 cells maintained in glyphosate-free medium were similar, whereas W38 cells accumulated 46 times more shikimate than I7 cells, when cells of both lines were exposed to the herbicide. Glyphosate treatment caused increased levels of aromatic amino acids in W38 cells and slightly lower levels in I7 cells. Specific activities of dehydroquinate synthase, shikimate dehydrogenase, and shikimate kinase were similar in the two cell types, whereas DAHP synthase and EPSP synthase specific activities were elevated in I7 cells. Plants regenerated from I7 cells retained tolerance to glyphosate.
OMG Just google glyphosate tobacco. I think we are inhaling the stuff. We are the expendables. The sin tax victims. And now morgellons. A free guineau pig farm.
There is no one here that lives a cleaner lifestyle than robertalouise.

Smoking may very well have to do with it remember the Tobacco Mosaic virus causing the assembly of nano antennas? With that said though I have had a very low voice all my life. The last few years it has become Craggy. I was just diagnosed with vocal cord polyps and will be having surgery to remove them. My sister had surgery to removed a cancerous thyroid that turned out not to be cancer at all but abnormal fiber growth.
I have Fibromyligia, uterine fibroids , cystic breasts, chronic infiltrations in my chest . In other words my body is full of problems with fiber. I just pray that I am not misdiagnosed as Chaos was !

I agree something set it off but it was not for the reasons you stated... stress maybe.... more stress maybe... depression maybe.... but not smoking............ let me clarify myself. i'm not saying that smoking GIVES you morgellons. i'm saying that the extremely high acidity smoking causes.. and the sedentary lifestyle that accompanies it.. lends to the onset of these symptoms. do you still jog every day? stretch? yoga? drink tons of water? no coffee nothing whatsoever that's unhealthy? stress is a HUGE purveyor of acidity.. and nervous degradation. i'm saying that if you look at bell curve averages of everyone that has morgellons.. in the middle.. the average morgellons person.. which is the majority.. and thusly can be used to forecast who may get morgellons.. is a group of the population .. that have bad, unhealthy habits.. and do NOT have an extremely healthy lifestyle. again.. i said.. there are exceptions. what i mean is the BULK OVERALL POPULATION of people that have morgellons.. smoke...are sedentary .. and with lesions.. keep them even MORE indoors.. away from sun (and consequentially vitamin D) ... do NOT exercise regularly or eat extremely well. this wasn't meant as a personal jab at anyone that doesn't fit exactly what i just described.. it's meant as something to REALLY think about. -M

My first reaction to this video was concern for the woman's condition and her feeling of hopelessness. I felt sorry that she has to deal with doctors that can't see what appears obvious to me. Did you notice the state of her fingernails, too?
Prevenge- I thought this was an attractive woman, well spoken with a rather normal sounding voice. I would have no idea whether she smokes or not. Unless we were taking a medical survey, I would consider it was really none of my business.
However, you brought up the topic. You also stated that (in your opinion) a majority of people exhibiting Morgellon-like symptoms are smokers. You continued by making disparaging comments about smokers while operating under the assumption that the majority of people on our Morgellons site are smokers.
I do agree with you that smoking is definitely not a good thing as I'm sure most all smokers will agree with you. However, I am wondering what it is you are trying to accomplish. Did you want us to think badly of this woman in the video? Did you want to knock down smokers adding your displeasure to the burdens they already carry? Did you want to alienate as many people as possible on this site since you say the majority of Morgellons sufferers are smokers? I am not sure I fully understand your intentions?
By the way, I am a smoker and did take offense at your comments.

OH NO!! Kill all the smokers? "Now where we gonna git all dat $ from?" The sin tax probably generates enough $ every year to pay off the national defecit....well, maybe not, we have been at war for the past 6 years.... what about the children, the people who don't smoke and the people who don't smoke who do not yet know/realize they are infected? prevenge... where is your post from today??? It's gone? take care godsgrace

I do think there are other factors that come in to play in getting morgellons. For me my house flooded several times and had mold issues. I also worked around paint chemicals for years and had 2 surgerys and also had a couple tick bites. But i do agree you must take very good care of your body and immune system to fight morgellons

Gee, when this hit my family of atheletes, my husband was a body builder, softball coach, and hands on dad who didnt lay around and smoke (he wouldnt go in a room if a smoker was in there) This was an infectious organism who sucked the energy from us- gave us all the look of gloom on our face- changed our sleeping patterns and pretty much just made us feel like poop!
sounds to me like your the one smoking something.
