As soon as I figure out what is going on with the video part of the QX5, I will be able to show you something that is UNREAL!
I viewed a hair under the scope (please try this yourself) -
and I had the hair laying on the glass slide, and then dropped a few drops of water onto the slide.
MY HAIR SUCKED UP THE WATER ((( THOUGH THE INSIDE OF THE HAIR ))) , JUST LIKE A STRAW!
JUST LIKE SOMEONE WAS SUCKING THOUGH A STRAW, the water went right up INSIDE the hair all by itself!!

Well heck, darn and XXXXXX. I'm having trouble with my computer, and that's why the video ( to do one isn't working).
I don't know if hair is supposed to or does normally suck up water...anyone know?
Or is it just the outside that gets wet?

toni, just found this in a link from skytroll Morgellons is a disease that affects humans and animals with a minimum of 93 or more symptoms. Humans experience different colored fibers growing out of their skin with the presence of lesions that ooze a gel like material or may have the feeling of hot burning glass ripping through the underside of their skin as a needle. Toxicological Pathology evaluations of specimens taken from a patient who was diagnosed with this disease and was having a knee replacement operation revealed that the specimen contained silica and silicone.2 Further analysis of these specimens using Micro Raman technology revealed that the fibers that grew out of this same patient were composed of a two part polyester, like a plastic straw within a straw with a head that was made up of silicone (Figure 1 -2 & 1-3). Polyester is a definite man-made material. It is "nylon" by another name. Nylon is a compound that is a lipophatic compound, just as silicone. In addition, high density polyethylene fibers were found in a different patient's heel of their foot. (Figure 1-4). The difference in these compounds and ones that are man-made in a chemical factory are that they have a size, which is measured at a "NANO" level. www.rense.com/general78/nano911.htm

Thank you. Yes, there's many many articles on Morgellons.
Do you know (for certain) if hair "sucks up water" in (normal life)?
I'm not sure, because I never looked at a hair under a scope (before Morgellons) and as soon as I get my "video part" going again, I'll video it.
A single hair laid on a glass slide I've watched it suck up water. Because my hair is blonde, (some of the hairs appear transparent) and I could see the water literally being draw up INSIDE the hair).
What I want to do today, is mix some water with food coloring, so it can be seen easily as the fluid (water and food coloring) go up the inside of the hair like someone sucking on a straw.
But...I'm not sure if that's what hair "normally" does or not.
I'd not think so...but I don't know??

toni, I believe I read on the Mark Darrahpost that hairs are not supposed to be hollow.
Hair has an outside cuticle that is absorbent...hence conditioner, hair color works...it is "soaked in" through the outside layer.
I would have a hard time believing that real hair behaves in the same manner.
someone said these are like shapeshifters...
perhaps it is not hair but something different "mimicking" the hair of our bodies?
that's my guess

Gosh...I'm not sure what to think, but I sure do appreciate your opinions and comments.
To the best of my knowledge too, hair doesn't normally (suck up) water or conditioner either. Or oh boy, we'd have a head full of hairs that were full of conditioner like you said. And that I sure can relate to.
I believe also the hair is "normally" coated on the outside with water or conditioner, but never inside of it does it "retain" what we apply topically.
And yep, there sure could be "something sprouting" that mimicks hair, cause the left side of my hair has become 3 times thicker than my right side. And all that (feather light hair) seems to be the active hair, moreso.
What's odd too, is ( all ) of my hair grows at an incredibly fast rate too anymore. I have to cut several inches monthly off my hair or I'd be walking on it in no time.

toni.....hahahaha
I just got out of the shower after cutting my hair..
it grows 2 inches a month I swear..
it is thinning a bit but what is left grows so fast.
When I shave my legs, like a man, I have a 5:00 shadow..
I have to shave everyday...underarms too!
it is related

I don't know "if estrogen" plays a part in this mess we're in...but my gut tells me it does.
I've believed that from the get go because here's the thing.
Well..who takes estrogen?
If I may ask you Godsgrace, do you? And are you pre-menopause?
Nothing like getting to the nitty gritty huh? haha
But on a serious note.
I believe...or it seems, this Morgellons in one of it's facets, depletes our estrogens, and that WILL cause hair to fall out.
Now if we're taking estrogen (as I do) that might be helping counter act the depletion, I sure don't know.
Estrogens and androgens must be kept in balance, and when estrogen levels (in men or women) lessen, then men or women will lose their hair!
Not on their body, but they'll have hair loss on their head.
That's "what happens in normal life too", not enough estrogen and too much "androgens/testosterone".
I think if we take the right supplements too, it helps replace what this Morgellons is depleting, and it may even increase our estrogen levels, thus making the hair grow at an increased rate, as yours seems to Godsgrace and mine too (and I know what you mean, underarms, everyday have to be shaved). Too much estrogen either isn't good. This Morgellons totally plays havoc on the bodys 'regulating system'.
My leg hair isn't the same. Leg hair is usually stiff like. Mine is just like the hair on my outer arms. Soft hair. I feel like next I'll be sprouting fur! hahahah GRRRR or RUFF RUFF ;D
But something is kicking in for the hair growth to be this fast. Cause my hair never grew like this...and it's beyond normal, and scarey really.

Toni, I'd try the experiment with my scope but I'm bald at the moment, so no hair! Ha!
Try re-installing your scope software and I'm sure the video part will then work. Also, don't use the time lapse, just simply click record (it will be a 2 minute video.) Duh, I know you already know that. I've had alot of trouble with the time lapse on mine tho, so just do a regular short video of it after you've re-installed it. It should work for you then.

I have a really neat shot of a hair, still in the process of being made. It shows every single fiber that went into the making of it. Looks like finely detailed webbing.
Have you all noticed how the tensile strength of the hair is at its strongest just after showering? Some get difficult to remove, they are so strong. Thats when they act like curling ribbon. They tend to spring back, but very curly.
This is also the best time to catch the gel/fiber growing, right after shower. They need that water desperately. It will continue to fall out if you never get it wet again.

Thanks Bannanny. You know I've tried everything. The video part something is wrong. It keeps saying something like (send error to Microsoft) (appcompat.txt)
Cyn! Oh my goodness, YES. The hair is SUPER strong when wet.
I comb my hair out in the shower and I mean with force to get the knots out (with conditioner) and I don't have one single split end...(well..probably cause I'm cutting it all the time) but....there are no broken hairs either.
The hair is as strong as ever!
And you said: (They need that water desperately. It will continue to fall out if you never get it wet again.)
I'm not sure what you mean, I think I know what you mean...and please tell me if this is it.
As weird as this is going to sound, it feels like I know what you mean.
When I get in the shower which is 2X a day, morn and eve, I wash my hair...and I CAN TELL...the hair "needed watered".
Is that what you mean?
And what I mean by that is well....I won't say on here, but I think you do know right, since you sound like you've got the same thing going on.

Toni, you have me concerned now. Why are you showering twice a day? We were told by one of the scientist early on "not to keep bathing". Your actually helping the disease. Ever since I realized how fast my disease was growing/spreading I started spacing out the showers as much as possible. Hard to do, because you feel so creepy but, I really think it is necessary. Yes, when I get under that shower and start wetting my hair, I feel the hair on the lower legs start moving. It is a strange feeling. But, think about it Toni. Look at the way our pseudo hair responds to water, what if the entire disease responds and grows with water? Please do try to cut down. I rarely find normal hair anymore. I woke up to what I thought was a bruise on my forehead. Turned out to be a bunch of black pseudo hairs, it was that thick! Why is the disease spending so much time planting tubes all over my face? I use to think it was just air they needed, maybe not.
That sounds like an application compatibility issue with your software. Strange after you have been using it all this time. It is probably you, and all your electricity.

Cyn, thank you for your care and concern. I use to take 10-14 showers a day! Honest to God, for over a year I did that when I first got this...I couldn't stand myself. Now...the two showers a day do really well for me, really I stay in there with the hottest water for the longest time too, sweating till I almost faint - (one time set off the smoke alarm) out in the hall, that's how much steam for so long was barreling out of the bathroom. Scared me to death. I went flying out of the shower, cause I thought there was a fire in the house. First time I'd ever even heard the smoke alarm go off, and it's monitored with the alarm system. What a fiasco that was. But I see something (for my Morgies) they hate it. What happens is...they begin surfacing. And the longer I stay in the shower, the more I'll see sticking out of my face when I get out of the shower. They're like "white triangles" the size of "if you were to flatten a piece of salt" that is their size. But triangular, and they have a hair like root. After a loooong hot shower, they're right there on the surface of my skin and I can pluck them right off. I think they'd of grown to a mess if they'd of not come out ...and I picked them off. Then while I'm all "heated up" I slap on the yog/milk smoothie, and I wear that for hours, then shower again later, and I'm good for another day without lesions.

Does every woman who is taking Estrogen have lesions?
I do not have lesions and my P.A. wants me to take Estradiol. I am afraid because I think it will open Pandora's box.
I would love some relief as it seems I started to go through meanopause in March. Hot, cold, hot, cold, crying, hot, crying, cold......................................
But if the Estradiol opens the door to lesions, I will just be crying, crying, crying............................
Abbie
sorry toni, this is off your topic but you made me think about the estrogen a little more.

Tony You know i have noticed when I shampoo my hair, that the shampoo is soaked up quickly so I alway have to put more on . It mostly around the base of my neck and around my ears and even the top rear part of my head. I have alway felt that this stuff sucks everything up you put on your body even lip gloss, cause my lips are alway dry. Also oil /lotion for dry skin it's seems like it's gone not to long after you put it on. And what cyn said is very true cuz when I try to pull the reddish banded ones out after a shower they act like a budgie cord with that spring action and if you don't pull it out it curls up toward the root. Now my hair is falling out and I don't take any estrogen and I have had hot flashes real bad and it seems like I feel them coming back again a year later just not as hot as before ..yet! I have alway felt that when we get wet this stuff seems to react, more so than when we are dry. That's why I alway dry my hair right after the shower and always try to keep dry. Sweat is another thing i worry about , I need to exercise but I get this feeling that it spreading and making it worst. take care massena

I think this stuff LOVES water. Maybe not salt water, but regular water, yes indeedy! I try to pace my showers too and I feel better that way. I wipe my body down tho in between with Noxema wipes....... morgs doesn't like the smell of noxema and those things really make me feel refreshed. Wish they were a little cheaper than they are, but they're worth it to me. I even keep those in a plastic container....... I keep everything in those plastic storage boxes with a lock on lid. It's too contaminated here for me not to!
Another thing toni, do you realize that all the particles are simply floating out into the air right along with all that steam? So the longer the shower, the more float into the air and some of them, right back onto you. These particles are NOT water soluble. I keep a spray bottle of amonia/water mix and spray the whole shower area off and on while I'm in there.
Shorten your shower times and be sure you keep a window cracked or a fan on while you're in there and wipe everything down when you're finished. I know, I used to be in the shower for hours on end in the beginning. I learned that one the hard way....... I know that was one of the things that carried it thruout my house (along with trying to brush it out of my hair when it was dry while leaning over the tub.) It was simply landing everywhere, including right onto my poor dogs coats. After I started realizing what was happening, I completely blocked the bottom of my bathroom door when I took a shower to keep as much steam as I could from escaping....... it really seemed to help too.
I don't know if you ever see things while you're showering, but I do. I see the sparks I was just talking about on a thread today and I see things flying back up into the air from the shower floor....... altho they aren't big enough to catch or to even see where they've gone. I also see very very (almost invisible) black balls and black strands when I'm in the shower. They're just like the ones I see in front of my eyes all the time but can't get rid of. Needless to say, I don't enjoy taking a shower anymore at all.
Try this with your microscope toni....... right click on your scope icon and go to properties. Then click the compatability tab up top and try changing it to XP if you're using Windows Vista. You can also try changing your display to 800x600 pixels. Just go to control panel, double click on display, then go to settings. When you're finished using the scope software you can go back to display and change it back to the setting you had it on before. Supposedly the scope software automatically changes your display settings to 800x600 when it's in use, but yours might not be doing that.
Another thing you can do is call and have them send you a different disc. That's what I did and altho it didn't solve the problem I was having it did help with everything else. My problem is that everytime I use my scope, it moves my desktop icons and scrambles them all over the place. Intel told me the software has some compatability issues and that they have a different disc which they updated and they will send it to you at no charge. So, if nothing else call them and ask for the updated disc for the compatibility issues, k? Hope that will help!
hugs ~~ bannanny
