I was photographing a few pieces of jewelry for a friend and later when I was running the images through photoshop I noticed what I thought was a reddish discoloration on certain areas of the jewelry. I blew the image up and discovered that the reddish areas were actually groups of little critters (flukes worms parasites?) that look like a stage of the Morgelleons pathogen to me. Do these look like the morg pathogen to anyone else or can anyone identifiy what they might be?

Hi glennb, You know I had the same problem with my jewelry , it's had to explain but some of my silver turned dark color and I would noticed pitted marks as if this stuff was eating it . I have some pictures also and as soon as I learn how to transfer the photos from one place to another I will post them for you. The strange thing is it's not only jewelry but cooking pans ,bathroom sinks and so on. I think this happens when you are shedding and you get your hands or what ever wet and it has this reaction. Stainless steel seem to be the best to use but anything cheap and even plastic containers I have seen marked and pitted. This stuff has no limitations ,on what it will attack ! I use to sell native american Indian jewelry on e bay and I would make sure my hands were clean and even sometimes wear rubber gloves. take care massena

Hi glennb It also looks like just dirt. (Is it from the Georgia area?) But if we've touched something or get too close, we can "infect" things lke little pieces of dirt, I think. (dirt, plus everything else!) I also think we can tell/intuit sometimes if a particle, hair etc. has energy in it from being infected, so you are the final judge. Great photo of a less great piece of jewelry - I've spent a lot of time doing many jewelry photos, gloveless, and a few alien fibers had to be removed. That's all I noticed . messena, yes! they melt in and rise up. suzy

Massena,
Yes, tupperware I've sure noticed it getting pitted. White spots in the blue lids that are inside the plastic now, like someone hammered nails into them because they're sharply pointed spots, not all the way though, but boy are they there, the white indents.
Almost like they were sand blasted, but deeper, and white pitted. I don't use them for storage anymore, because something's sure in the plastic now.

I don't wear jewelry anymore, but I've noticed that morgellons can form into what resembles rust....... but then again, it can form into looking like just about anything.

I don't think it is dirt. I see little appendages and tubes sticking out of these things. Look at them with a magnifying glass. I checked the piece of jewelry later and they were gone. I don't think dirt would have crawled off.
