Gosh Bessie...I just posted about those little buggers... I wished I would have read the board before I posted otherwise I would have posted under this thread... COLLEMBOLA...terrible little bastards... Thanks for the link. It sure does tell it like it is. Funny how they still claim it does not happen as in infecting humans... Sort of like how they say there is no Lyme disease...
The "THEYS" wonder who "They" are and if "They" have conventions??? teehee

Lot of collembola around here spent allot of time watching them During the heat of the day not a one to be found unless you look under a rock or a log round but after the sun wains in the sky or on a cloudy day they are all over the side walk and everywhere all sizes from almost no seums barely seums One time I noticed collembola coming in and out of a p-i-ss ant pile Knowing that ants are usually vary aggressive to any thing invading their domain I decided to watch the interaction between the two unlikely roommates What I observed totally blew my mind When ever the bigger p-i-ss ant would bump into a collembola it would run from it hyper speed like it was afraid of it I would of thought it would of been the other way around I saw this happen over and over I still wounder what that was about here is a picture that I took with my qx3 of one of the collembola Their are some other more scary collembola stories that I could relate to you tonight but it is my bed time and I don't want to have any nightmares

Hey Anthill, what you witnessed with the ants and collembola falls right in place if the interaction is looked at in the context of my theory, the collembola you observed might actully be replicas of collembola, sponges in collembola clothing. Other organisms tend to stay clear of Trichoplax too as suggested in this article.
