Here is an article on soy and memory loss. Eating Soy Linked To Memory Loss www.upi.com/Health_News/2008/07/05/Eating_soy_linked_to_memory_loss/UPI-38071215295390/ Eating soy linked to memory loss Published: July 5, 2008 at 6:03 PM Order reprints | Print Story | Email to a Friend | Post a Comment LONDON, July 5 (UPI) -- Frequently consuming foods containing soy may contribute to memory loss, British experts say. Experts at England's Loughborough and Oxford Universities researched the impact of soy consumption in 719 senior citizens on the Indonesian island of Java, the Daily Mail reported Saturday. Researchers determined people who ate soy at least twice a day had 20 percent less memory function that those who ate it significantly less. "Soy consumption is on the increase in the West and is often promoted as a 'superfood.' Soy products are rich in micronutrients called phytoestrogens, but it is not entirely clear what their effect on the aging brain is," said Professor Eef Hogervorst of Loughborough University. Hogervorst said vegetarians and elderly women seemed to be highly susceptible to potential memory loss from soy consumption. seems the soy, which has been altered, could cause more problems than regular milk. The phony-meat type soy is contraindicated on the Marshall Protocol because it has immuno-modulatory effects. Meaning that Dr. Marshall has learned with his molecular modeling that we are less able to defend ourselves when we consume a lot of this stuff, as it is able to interfere with the heart of the immune system, the VDR. I think he said 20 mg, per day max. I could go on, but I'll stop here. Remember though, that "vitamin" D is really the biggest culprit. Thanks Sky, for naming Dr. Marshall on that other thread as one of our researchers and that we should remember there is help. LOve, spec

Hey, I got Alz coming.....so not about to make it worse.
or do we all..... nah............we are going to find a way out of this mess.
spec, well he is cranking out ways to heal..... and works hard at it too. So much of his findings relate to the sclerosis part, for sure.

Don't mean to hi-jack ms. sky, but thought I'd drop you the latest from Dr. Marshall.. "The video of the UCLA presentation is now online. The HD version is at URL www.vimeo.com/1270611 and a smaller version for those with slower Internet connections is at vimeo.com/1268542" This was a conference on Understanding Aging. Reversing the diseases, changes the trajectory for our lives. Another interesting fact. Our bodies down-regulate the production of D in the presence of exogneous D, but once all sources are eliminated, and healing is taking place, our bodies create 25-D, and in the proper and needed amount. This is known because people well along in recovery, who never go in the daylight or consume D, now have levels at about 20ng/ml, which is probably the true healthy target. First it dips to near zero, as mine is, while healing is in progress. Later, when the body is able to handle a healthy amount properly, the kidneys start to create it. LOve, spec Okay, back to the topic.. OH yeah, SOY....
