As the salmonella outbreak spreads across the United States, the Food and Drug Administration is now looking at produce, such as jalapeño peppers and cilantro, as possible culprits. abcnews.go.com/GMA/Consumer/story?id=5317134FDA Adds Peppers, Cilantro To Salmonella Probe The FDA is not even 100 percent sure that tomatoes are the cause -- adding peppers and cilantro Saturday to its list of foods under investigation in the outbreak. The outbreak, which began in April, has affected 943 people so far in 40 U.S. states, more of a third of them in Texas, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There have been 225 cases reported since June 1 -- evidence that the source likely has not been contained. www.nbc5i.com/health/16798150/detail.html?rss=dfw&psp=news(There goes the fresh salsa for awhile now)

This is really interesting...just yesterday (again) I was wondering "what" produce/food we ALL might be eating, and it would have to be something that we ALL might eat, but I didn't realize so many of our tomatoes (for instance) were shipped all over the USA.
But after reading this, I realize, we all are eating basically the same things, no matter what state in the country we're in.
