This isnt about morgs but would like your opinion please. My husb picked up some dry-cleaning and the girl asked if I was upset with them cause I dont send clothes there anymore. He told him I had a lyme-type disease and skin was super sensitive to chemicals, etc. Well next time he went she sent a package for me. It was a booklet called The Meal that heals and a prayer shawl. Wrapped in shawl was snack size tupperware-like container. I havent opened it but can see they are communion wafers. The thing is I cant bring myself to take them by myself. It feels wrong for something so sacred. Im methodist and have never heard of doing this. Ive had them for 2 months and everyday I see them Im tormented. My mind says what if Im offending by NOT taking them but then think oh no its just too sacred. This is seriously eating at me.

It would seem the person who packaged these communion wafers knows whether or not if it would be wrong or right to administer them to yourself. If it was wrong, why did they give it to you?
As far as touching them, ............. well in the Catholic Church, it is common to "help yourself". It is also OK to have someone (non-priest) pass them out.
My advice is that if you wish to consume a wafer, go for it and don't let it "eat at you" cuz it can't be wrong to take it if they were "given" to you in the first place.
Just my thoughts.

kiki--if you see this--and i'm hoping you will--soon-- please do partake of the gift as the circumstances surrounding it ----well it feels too right to be wrong
like kmarie said-- if it were wrong it would not have been gifted--especially accompanied by a prayer shawl...sounds like a real special person behind that gift.
