I got a goody in the mail! My dr is moving her office ( only 5 min from old place) and I got an annoucement with new address, directions, etc. In with it was page of hand-written test results with a note from the "too nice for her own good" nurse. It said Tests come to me to prioritize. If you mention this Leslie (recpt) and I will make sure you get the 8am appt for the rest of your life.
The 1st thing that caught my eye was eye specimen. I assume its referring to what I previously posted.
Eye specimen: the specific origin of the refractile material is difficult to determine based on histology alone and clinical correlation will be important to fully interpret the significance of the findings.
Serum protein electrophoresis: details: Alpha 2 globulins are elevated suggesting elevated haptoglobins. Increased haptoglobin concentrations occur in acute phase reactions. impression: neg for M spike, elevated alpha 2 globulins.
Induced sputum: microscopic diagnosis: sputum cellblock cytopathology. Oropharyngeal contamination unsatisfactory for diagnosis. Comment: cytologic preparation show large numbers of squamous cells and bacterial colonies. A few fungal forms are present on GMS stain, probably representing contaminants.
Methylmalonic acid levels, serum & random urine: pending
Hantavirus AB: pending
HLA-B27: antigen not detected
herpes virus 6 DNA: pending Note: this test has not been cleared or approved by the US FDA
Manganese serum/plasma: FLAG- 1.2 H
CEA: FLAG- 4.2 H note: Beckman Access Immunoassay
RBC: FLAG- L
HGB: FLAG- L
HCT: FLAG- L
MCV: FLAG- H
MCH: FLAG- H
But enough about me. How are yourrr insides doing lately
ps it wont upset me if any of this is discussed- Im squeamish about some stuff but Im too practical to be a sissy!
